1. Why The State of Israel Should be Supported!
http://www.britam.org/SupportIsrael.html
This article was put out some time ago but we thought it still worthwhile reminding you of its existence:
A recorded lecture using the article as its basic text may be heard at:
Why WE Need to Support the State of Israel
http://britam.org/Broadcasts/newBAMBI/StateofIsrael.mp3
(ca. 35 minutes)]

Contents:
The Bible Says the World Was Created for the Sake of Israel!
The State of Israel has begun the Ingathering of Judah
The State of Israel Embodies the Ingathering of Judah
The State of Israel Restores the Self-Respect of Jews and All Well-Meaning People
Torah Study Gives Merit to All Israel and Humanity in General!
Commandment to Live in the Land of Israel and to be Independent
The State of Israel as a Catalyst for Israelite Consciousness
The State of Israel is a Good Investment
Returning to the Bible and the Beginning of Redemption

Extract:

Religious Jews, ordinary Jews, and Israelites in general are commanded to be independent when they can be. They are forbidden to give control over themselves up to foreigners.

The Bible says:
[Deuteronomy 17:15] THOU SHALT IN ANY WISE SET HIM KING OVER THEE, WHOM THE LORD THY GOD SHALL CHOOSE: ONE FROM AMONG THY BRETHREN SHALT THOU SET KING OVER THEE: THOU MAYEST NOT SET A  STRANGER OVER THEE, WHICH IS NOT THY BROTHER.

The Sages inherited traditions from Moses. They were also empowered by the Bible  [Deuteronomy 17:8-13] to decided how the Bible should be interpreted. The Sages said that the above verse applied not only to a king but to all positions of authority [that in effect are like those of a king but in a smaller sphere]. We are forbidden to give control over our lives and government to non-Israelites. Where there is no choice,  if non-Israelites are already ruling over us we do not have to rebel against them. In most cases we probably should obey them. Where there is a choice however we are forbidden to give up control of our communal existence and political independence to foreigners.

2. Dave Sanders : Spreading the Brit-Am message

Yair,

If the Brit-Am message is true ( after lots of reading I'm thinking it is), then perhaps Brit-Am members, contributors, and those who agree with your site's message can promote the actual britam.org website wherever and whenever they can.

Other than buying your books (which I still haven't read all of them) and donating for the cause, maybe those sympathetic with the Britam message can bring awareness to your website via e-mail, message forums, calling into religious Christian radio programs, etc. It's not that hard to copy the website link and spread it around. Even easier to do that when you lay out Britam's primary goals. Whenever I post the Britam website link, I usually copy the site's message, so people can get a good understanding of what the site's primary subject matter is; with taking the extra time to relay the site's over all message, people will probably be more apt to follow and link and start educating themselves.

As far as you Yair, you obviously do an amazing amount of research. I'm very impressed by your tireless work! Just a suggestion - perhaps you could do more interviews on American radio programs if the opportunity presents itself. Getting onto a show such as Coast To Coast AM (a hugely popular alternative subjects show listened to by millions world wide) would do wonders for the Britam message.

Just food for thought,
David

3. Athol Bloomer: Shocked at the posts offensive to Muslims
RE: Brit-Am Now no. 1504

Dear Yair,

i am rather shocked at the posts offensive to Muslims who believe in the One God just as Jews and Christians do. This attack on Muslims as idol worshipers is not in accord with Jewish teachings of the Rambam [Maimonides] and many others. By the way i noticed that we are related on our Y-dna on Y-search with a genetic distance of 4 on 28 compared.

cheers Athol

Brit-Am Comment:
Maimonides [Letter to Yemen] indeed says that in his generation the Muslims could be considered as monotheists even though (as he says)
their original intentions were idolatrous.
We still feel that the Almighty can only be approached as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel as HE revealed HIMSELF in the Bible. The Bible does tell us that the Almighty heard the cries of Ishmael so I guess Ishmael fits in there as well. Ishmael is the forefather of part of the Arabs and in a sense could be considered the representative of the Islamic World in general.

[Genesis 17:20] AND AS FOR ISHMAEL, I HAVE HEARD THEE: BEHOLD, I HAVE BLESSED HIM, AND WILL MAKE HIM FRUITFUL, AND WILL MULTIPLY HIM EXCEEDINGLY; TWELVE PRINCES SHALL HE BEGET, AND I WILL MAKE HIM A GREAT NATION.
http://britam.org/Genesis/Gen18to22VaYera.html

[Genesis 21:17] AND GOD HEARD THE VOICE OF THE LAD;
The sages emphasize the expression HEARD THE VOICE OF THE LAD WHERE HE IS. Ishmael was a bad man. He was destined to return and do evil and oppress the Israelites.  Neither was he the chosen seed but a reprobate relative who had to be sent away. Even so at that moment he cried to God and God heard him and had mercy. We should repent always but especially in times of trouble. Maybe we are not sure of how sorry we really are over what we have done. Nor are we certain that in the very near future we will not continue to give in to temptation. God knows us better than we know ourselves. We are surely worse than we realize. Even so from the case of Ishmael you see that if one genuinely asks God for help He does not judge us harshly. He helps.

It may be that some Muslims do relate to the Almighty in a Biblically -pertinent manner.

4. Yair in accident. Brit-Am Options?

Yair is recovering from a recent minor accident.
I should be up and in operational form soon.
At the moment I am not.
This recent event should tell us not to take anything for granted and to do what we can while we can.
We have a few articles and on-going reports to conclude and send out along with Biblical and Research studies.

We are constantly complaining that our income from Brit-Am is insufficient from the point of view of Brit-Am and of Yair.
This is the case and we may well continue to complain in the future.
Nevertheless considering the relatively small number of those connected to us and that we have no major backers then comparatively speaking it may be that we do quite well. Brit-Am people are of a somewhat higher quality.

Anyway we are in need of more funds in order to function.

Biblical Evidence of Brit-Am Belief
http://www.britam.org/Proof/ProofsIntro.html

We did consider looking into some kind of additional occupation alongside Brit-Am but now are uncertain as to whether that is what is wanted.

Is Brit-Am mercenary?
Do we seem to emphasize financial needs too often?
Brit-Am needs money in order to function and do what it has to do. It could be that if we had more faith things would work out better.
Our mode of expression and the frequency of our requests may also testify to some kind of imperfect attitude on our part.
OK. We never claimed to be saintly though we do endeavor to maintain a certain level of observance.
Apart from that we see our value as deriving from the information and message we send out.
We never tried to sell ourselves as Paragons of Virtue.
Divine Providence however has enabled us to provide knowledge and an approach that is needed.
The Brit-Am message deserves to go out. The Brit-Am message helps others and helps the cause of Joseph and of Judah.
It is our belief that they who help Brit-Am will themselves be rewarded from Above.
Help Brit-Am.

God bless you all

5. Nathan Proud : Video Presentation?
From: nproud@gmail.com

Hi Yair,
Have you considered making a concise video presentation of Brit-Am teachings? I've seen the videos of your interview, but I believe making a planned video presentation could be very beneficial to people in general. More and more folks are abandoning reading because of laziness and ease of access to information that caters to that laziness. I've made a somewhat concise presentation of my beliefs on the lost tribes (slightly different than yours because of differences in theology) but not too many people have read it because it seems a bit long at first. However a video is easier to watch than an article is to read. I suggest you make a video if you are able with maps and references and such. I might do the same. It could be almost like a documentary. I just might make one myself. Just a thought.

6. Need for Wikipedia Article about Brit-Am
It would be good if there was a Wikipedia article about Brit-Am. We once wrote one but it taken down for being too subjective.
Before taking the article down the moderators held a kind of discussion. They seemed to have trouble believing that we had ever sold
any books or that anybody was interested in us. One of the moderators then wrote us a letter suggesting that if we were to re-write
our article as if it came from a third person and with some notes of criticism in it then perhaps it would be accepted. We declined.
If anybody out there however has the inclination and aptitude to write about Brit-Am and post their article to Wikipedia it could help.

The Wikipedia entry on British Israelism
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Israelism
says:
Brit-Am is an organization (founded ca.1993) based in Israel that also identifies the Lost Ten Tribes with the British and related peoples. Brit-Am uses Biblical and Rabbinical Exegesis to justify its beliefs supplemented by secular studies.

7. Owen Murphy:
Against financial burden laid on the membership BUT The tithing principle is valid Biblically
Re: Yair in accident. Brit-Am Options?

Hello Yair;
I hope that you recover quickly from your accident. The Brit/Am information is I think an important part of the loop that G-d is using to keep all of us 'mavericks' in contact with current events and their import.
Regarding your thoughts of an additional side occupation, or job while continuing to do the necessary work needed by Brit/Am. I have on looking back at 33 years in the ministry of the World Wide Church of God, one major regret and that is the financial burden laid on the membership by the corporate "church" which resulted in mis-management of funds as well as a vested interest by those in "authority" of keeping the funds flowing to 'headquarters'. When the 'leader' is independent of the followers, or, better put fellow laborers financial support, then he is seen as an equal, or, brother in the endeavor. This approach then allows one to keep their contribution in perspective with the others efforts. I do think leadership is required, but needs to be seen as an inverted pyramid structurally, in the same manner G-d employs in upholding all things by the word of his power. Thus all worship, honor and glory go to G-d not men nor committees of men. The tithing principle is valid biblically and where there is a G-d authorized structure as the Levitical system then I think it functions without failure, though it can be abused as the sons of Eli  have shown, dramatically.
Cheers and may G-d bless you too.
  Owen
