1. Are there Israelites in Italy?

1. Question. Are there Israelites in Italy?
Answer: Numerous Jews and Israelites passed through Italy and many must have settled there. Nevertheless Italy on the whole was more of an influencing experience than one that was influenced. We would distinguish between people from Italy and elsewhere in Europe who came to Israelite dominated regions such as North America and between those who stayed behind.
We have written on Italy in our work "The Tribes" where we noted the presence of many from the Tribe of Simeon who historically came to Italy. Many Jews from Judah and Levi also settled in Italy. Goths, Vandals, Normans, and numerous groups of at least part Israelite descent came to Italy at some stage or other.
