1. Left-handed art students

This seems a little ironic for the son of the right hand. Very interesting
though!  I have enjoyed the natural talents for art exhibited by many of the
left handed students I have encountered.

2. Symbol Suggestion

From: posts@houseofephraim.com
Subject: My two cents on the Brit-am symbol

The new Brit-am symbol seems to be the hot topic this
week so like any good Jew I am going to throw in my 2
cents (or 3cents as we generally do).
Using the Zohar Rose may slightly alienate those from
the Ephraim side that tend not to view the Zohar as
highly as those within Judah (just an observation)?
While the Menorah does probably more accurately
represent the nation of Israel (and is favored by many
to even replace the Magen David) it does not really
capture the true mission of Brit-am, which is
restoration & reunification of the two Houses.
Why not use image of a hand holding the two sticks
as depicted in Ezekiel 37? This would not only more
accurately reflect the mission of Brit-am but would
also depict something "new" that would attract the
attention of the uninformed Jew or Ephraimite.
    Just a thought.

Brit-Am Comment: For the time being we will probably adopt a version of
the Rose alongside of the present red, blue, and white Magen David.
Both symbols have  historical significance and are simple and attractive.
Look again at some  pictures of  the Suggested Brit-Am Rose
prepared by Betty Rhodes:

More suggestions will follow.

3. Lao Tzu and Israel
From: winisd@netscape.net (Choong Keat Yian)
Subject: RE: "Brit-Am Now"-466

Rabbi Yair,do you know why i am here on this list?I can be sure that i am
the only Asian Oriental on this list.Human history and its migration as
being part of other of our related offshoots civilization is part of my
personal interest, and i can tell you that i am a "amateur" too and my main
interest is the Jewish people where even before the Internet days i have
already formed my preposition that any Western friends would be from Israel
and thought i am not a Christian, i do own a Bible and familiar with it
because its part of my inventories of books for reference to trace the
Judeo-Western culture history.I also like you to know that in my other
subscribed list i do tell them, which most are Anglo-American list members
the same thing about their origin, from ISRAEL,and not many of my list
friends refute me while a French member support me,that was before we/i
heard about Brit-AM.

Also i would like to convey that this Chinese article did support my
preposition of this idea that at least somehow the Chinese civilization do
have roots connection with the Judeo-Sumarian world in the past, and to cut
my story short,it is my own conclusion after some intensive studies that it
is the Jews who gave the Chinese of what we called the TAO today.I would
have to write long for details but my brief thesis is that Lao Tzu emerge
50 years after the contact with the Jews who brought Judaism with them to
China for a brief sojourn because of their persecution elsewhere.

4. Note on the Kabbalah
The Kabbalah may be defined as rabbinical Mysticism. Much of the Kabbalah
actually consists of simple psychology
or philosophical insights sometimes described in symbolic terms.
The Zohar is a major Kabbalistic work. Not all the Zohar however is
mystical. It is basically a collection of sayings and articles
from different authors over a long period of time that has been edited and
re-cast into some kind of whole entity.
We sometimes quote from  the Zohar but not so often and usually on points
whose significance is obvious and does not require
any  previous Kabbalistic learning to understand.
A leading rabbi once referred to various legends about famous sages by
saying that anyone who does not believe any of them
is a heretic and whoever believes all of  them is a fool.
I understand that some people have a bad impression of the Kabbalah.
This is mistaken but it is not my task to correct it.
Instead of saying "the Zohar says" I could always say "Commentators say",
or something like that and nobody would mind
but on those  occasions when the Zohar provides an insight to Brit-Am and
Biblical studies I would prefer to say so.

Also remember that our emphasis is on Biblical proofs and Bible learning.
All other sources are referred to the degree that they help
us understand the Bible.

5. Note on Brit-Am Sources, Proofs, and the Present Times
The Brit-Am Belief  is proven quite conclusively by Scripture when all
relevant verses are accepted as complementary
to each other. Using the same principles Rabbinical sources justify our
interpretations.
Historical and related (linguistics, archaeology, etc) sources as
conventionally presented do not prove Brit-Am
beliefs BUT as far as the raw evidence is concerned they are consistent
with slightly alternative explanations that
Brit-Am can accept as in accordance with the Bible.
DNA sources do not prove  Brit-Am beliefs and actually contradict them to a
degree BUT there are some indications
that in the end some of the conclusions from DNA findings will be revised
and the results will be more consistent with Brit-Am
beliefs.
This is how the Almighty wants it.
The time when Brit-Am truths will be acknowledged is drawing near.
Those who now believe do so primarily due to Biblical proofs.

6. Folk Wisdom. The advantages of good humor
A lot of bad feelings, resentments, etc can be overcome through humor.
Learning the humorous side of an embarrassing or
difficult situation can change your mood for the better and then if you
radiate this to others you can help everybody.
It can start with you. Feel good and others will also.
[Proverbs 15:13] A MERRY HEART MAKETH A CHEERFUL COUNTENANCE: BUT BY SORROW
OF THE HEART THE SPIRIT IS BROKEN.
[Proverbs 27:19] AS IN WATER FACE ANSWERETH TO FACE, SO THE HEART OF MAN TO
MAN.

7. The Suggested Brit-Am Advertisement-Message

Suggested message to Judah and Joseph. Corrected and modified thanks to the
remarks of "Peter" (who is of Irish origin but four generations in South
Africa)
and of Loretta Lenardson of Arkansas, USA.

DID YOU KNOW THAT:

According to the Bible ten out of the twelve tribes of Israel split away
(1-Kings 12:19), formed their own kingdom of  "Israel" (1-Kings 12:20) and
were exiled by the Assyrians (2-Kings 17:18). They forgot their identity
(Hosea 1:9 7:8 Isaiah 49:21) and became the Lost Ten Tribes. In the future
they will re-unite with the Jews (Ezekiel 37, Isaiah 11:13 Jeremiah 3:18)
of "Judah" but until then they have a role of their own to fulfill. They
were destined to be situated at the  continental extremities of the earth
such as North America, the British Isles, Scandinavia, the Netherlands,
Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa (Deuteronomy 33:13 Isaiah
24:16  26:15 41:8-9 49:6), to be the richest (Genesis 27:28  49:25
Deuteronomy 33:13-16 Hosea 2:8), and most powerful nations on earth
(Numbers 24:8-7 Micah 5:7-9) and to control major international strategic
bases (Genesis 22:16-17 24:60). All of these points together with hundreds
of others taken as a complementary whole show that the descendants of the
Lost Ten Tribes can only be found as recognizable entities amongst Western
Nations, especially the English-speaking ones. Your destiny and that of
your people may depend upon this information. You need to know. The
correctness of our interpretation of the relevant verses is confirmed by
the Tanach in the light of traditional Jewish Rabbinical sources and by the
findings of up-to-date historical and scientific research. Whether the
Jewish people like it or not the destiny of Judah is bound up with that of
Joseph, -meaning with that of the Lost Ten Tribes as a whole. Both sides
have to realize that they have a need for each other and an obligation to
help the other. We can provide you with proof that the "Anglo" nations are
descended from Israel. They are the lost brothers of the Jewish people. You
only need to consider this information. It could make a difference.
