1. Question about South African Oppression

Answer:
As far as I know everything you say could be correct.
In the past, The Blacks of Africa also moved about from place to place,
conquered and enslaved each other.
South Africa was settled in fairly recent times by the Black peoples who
presently dwell there.
They themselves came in from outside (a few centuries ago) and subjected or
expelled the "Bushmen" who were there
before them.

This does not make anything that was wrong right but it helps to keep
things in historical perspective.
At present while the Black Africans rule in South Africa there are reports
of widespread rape, robbery, murder
and of general deterioration.

I do not live there and have never been there and cannot judge.
Israelites should practise justice and judgement that is why greatness was
given unto them.

[Genesis 18:19] FOR I KNOW HIM, THAT HE WILL COMMAND HIS CHILDREN AND HIS
HOUSEHOLD AFTER  HIM, AND THEY SHALL KEEP THE WAY OF THE LORD, TO DO
JUSTICE AND JUDGMENT; THAT THE LORD MAY BRING UPON ABRAHAM THAT WHICH HE
HATH SPOKEN OF HIM.

[Genesis 12:1] NOW THE LORD HAD SAID UNTO ABRAM, GET THEE OUT OF THY
COUNTRY, AND FROM THY KINDRED, AND FROM THY FATHER'S HOUSE, UNTO A LAND
THAT I WILL SHEW THEE:
[Genesis 12:2] AND I WILL MAKE OF THEE A GREAT NATION, AND I WILL BLESS
THEE, AND MAKE THY NAME GREAT; AND THOU SHALT BE A
BLESSING:
[Genesis 12:3] AND I WILL BLESS THEM THAT BLESS THEE, AND CURSE HIM THAT
CURSETH THEE: AND IN  THEE SHALL ALL FAMILIES OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED.

It may be that because in South Africa they did not practice  "JUSTICE AND
JUDGMENT" they lost control?

Even so, in my opinion peoples we identify as Israelite are duty bound to
rule over other nations whether they be
black, white, or yellow.

This is also just my opinion. It is not something pertinent to Brit-Am as a
whole
whose sole mission is to spread the knowledge of Lost Israelite Identity
and work towards
reconciliation.

2. Michener on South Africa
From: Joan Griffith
Subject: RE: "Brit-Am Now"-463

Yair,

Reading about Jan Smuts was interesting, and it reminded me of a novel
about South Africa by James Michener--The Covenant.
Amazon.com says this: Synopsis
A fast-paced saga weaves fact and fiction in a journey through 15,000 years
of South African history, focusing on Willem van Doorn and ten generations
of his descendants as they live through the region's endless racial conflicts.

Until I read that, I had forgotten everything in the book except for a part
about the movement of a mighty murderous chieftain and his people. It
seemed so much like today's ethnic struggles in most of Africa. But the
book does reflect the strong trust in God of those settlers, as well as
their struggles.

Answer:
Shalom Ray,
There is no direct proof from DNA. We are more or less keeping abreast of
DNA developments.
Many DNA findings appear to confirm our historical claims regarding Paths
of Migration.
There are other findings that could in the future also provide further
evidence for Brit-Am
beliefs but time will tell. Some DNA findings appear to contradict Brit-Am
beliefs but they also
contradict themselves and each other and we have explanations of our own.
Stay posted with us and from time to time we will keep the list in formed
of developments we
consider significant.

4. Kyrgyzstan News?
The Chinese described the original Kirgyz as being red haired and green
eyed but now they
are of  a slight Mongolian appearance and speak a Turkish language.
Kyrgyzstan is located in Central Asia between what is now China, Kazaksten,
and Uzbekistan.
Lake Issik-Kol and the Tien Shan Mountain range are dominant features.
<<The principal ethnic majority are the Kyrgyz who account for 52% of the
population while 22% are Russians, 13% are Uzbeks and 2.5% are Ukrainians.
Other ethnic minorities include Tartars, Belarussians, Azerbaijanis,
Kazakhs and Tajiks.>>
Kyrgyzstan according to Brit-Am studies was once a center of  the Israelite
Scythian Sakai before they moved westward.
Marianna Jumanalieva from Kyrgyzstan believes that she has evidence of
Israelites having been in the area.
Yesterday she met with Yair Davidiy in Jerusalem and gave us information
and contacts that could be
beneficial. Marianna describes herself as "Messianic". She teaches the
Bible and has her own study group.
She also spent several years in Indonesia where she met a previously little
known group of Indonesian Jews.
Marianna came prepared to the meeting with notes and photographs. She was
accompanied by a young lady named,
"Uta", who is originally from Germany but spent many years in Russia
assisting Russian Jews.
Since Kyrgyzstan was once part of the USSR Russian is a second language.
Marianna speaks reasonable
English but here and there her meanings were not clear.
The meeting was very interesting and informative. We made contact for
Marianna with a group that specializes in these areas
and they also seemed interested in speaking with her.
Another meeting with Marianna is planned at which both Rabbi Feld and Yair
Davidiy will be present.
Marianna quoted to us the verses of Ezekiel:

[Ezekiel 39:27] WHEN I HAVE BROUGHT THEM AGAIN FROM THE PEOPLE, AND
GATHERED THEM OUT OF THEIR ENEMIES' LANDS, AND AM SANCTIFIED IN THEM IN THE
SIGHT OF MANY NATIONS;

[Ezekiel 39:28] THEN SHALL THEY KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD THEIR GOD, WHICH
CAUSED THEM TO  BE LED INTO CAPTIVITY AMONG THE HEATHEN: BUT I HAVE
GATHERED THEM UNTO THEIR OWN LAND, AND HAVE LEFT NONE OF THEM ANY MORE
THERE.

[Ezekiel 39:29] NEITHER WILL I HIDE MY FACE ANY MORE FROM THEM: FOR I HAVE
POURED OUT MY SPIRIT UPON THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, SAITH THE LORD
GOD.

5. Brit-Am Symbol. Menorah Preferred?
From: Tracy Osborne
Subject: RE: "Brit-Am Now"-463
Concerning the symbol of BritAm. Why? Do you not use a symbol from
SCRIPTURE?? The Zohar is not SCRIPTURE and is in itself very offensive
to many who LOVE Scripture. Our Identity is from SCRIPTURE, not
Kaballah. The Menorah is the best symbol. Please reconsider.

Shepherd, Tracy Osborne

Answer:

Tracy Shalom,
True the Zohar is not Scripture. The Zohar quotes from Scripture
and interprets a Sciptural passages as applying to Israel.
The passage below has been  adapted from "Ephraim":

In the beginning of the "Zohar" it says:

"`As the rose among the thorns, so is my love among the
maidens' (Song of Solomon 2:2):  What is the rose: It is the Assemblage of
Israel, the Community of Israel. For there is a rose (above) and a rose
(below). Just as the rose which is among the thorns has red and white, so
does the Assemblage of Israel have justice and mercy. Just as a rose has
thirteen petals, so does the Assemblage [Hebrew: "Knesset"] of Israel have
thirteen measures of compassion encompassing it on all sides.
"...Five strong leaves surround the rose..."

In ENGLAND BETWEEN THE YEARS 1450 1485 there occurred a series
of civil wars, known as "Wars of the Roses" between the rival Houses of
York and Lancaster. Each side was represented by a rose, York by a white
rose, and Lancaster by a red one. At the end of the struggle a partly Welsh
noble named Henry Tudor became king. Henry claimed to unify in his person
the two rival sides. He chose as his symbol a rose with both red and white
petals (i.e. a large white rose with a smaller red rose overlayed on it)
and with five green leaves around it. Dr. Clifford Smyth of Ulster supplied
the present author with color photographs of pictures from the Tudor Period
depicting the Tudor rose. These paintings show that there then existed in
England a real breed of rose that looked like Tudor Rose. This rose,
unbeknown to Henry, was (says the above-quoted Zohar) the symbol of Israel.
Henceforth the red and white petalled "Tudor Rose" became the symbol of the
English monarchs and therefore of England itself. It still is an official
symbol of Britain. The Tudor Rose admittedly has only ten petals whereas
the "Rose of Israel" described in the Zohar has thirteen but then England
being dominated by the tribe of Ephraim represents only ten out of the
original thirteen Israelite Tribes.
Henry Tudor was a great man: He came from a Ruling House
legendarily connected with King Arthur and he may have been descended (as
some believe) from King David. "He has been called the Solomon of England"
. He asserted the independence of England from Europe. The history of
modern England as an outwardly looking independently minded great nation
begins with him. His reign marks the beginning of that period in which the
blessings promised to the seed of Israel would be realized in the British
and British descended peoples!
The U.S.A. Congress in 1986 chose the rose as the national
flower of the USA.
In the precincts of the HOLY TEMPLE in Jerusalem before its
destruction there was a special rose garden situated between the present
Western ("Wailing") Wall and the actual Temple (i.e. Holy of Holies, Mishna
Middot ch.1). The Presence of God never left the Western Wall. This wall is
only a remnant of the wall that surrounded the whole Temple complex. The
Temple complex is on the Temple Mount, which must be re-sanctified. The
Temple should be re-built.  Some sources of Jewish Rabbinical thought say
that in order for the Third Temple to be rebuilt the participation of the
Lost Ten Tribes is necessary. The rose garden will have to be re-planted.

You are not attracted to the idea of the Red and White Rose since it is
derived from the Zohar which is associated Kabbalah which has been given a
bad name.
That is OK. We are not out to explain or justify Kabbalah to anyone. Even
if  I wanted to do so I could not do so.
The Zohar  was first revealed in Spain in the 1270s CE. It contains
material from much earlier periods
and many insights of value on Scriptural passages.
We are not in  favor of the Tudor Rose bacause the Zohar appears to write
about it but rather because this rose
was considered the Rose of Israel and was also used (and still is) as an
official symbol of what became Britain.
The parallel between the Rose of Israel and the Tudor Rose appears obvious
to us now.
Many scholars (Jewish and non-Jewish) must have been familiar with this
passage at the beginning of the
Zohar since many scholars of Rabbinical studies try and read it at some
time or other even though they may not
continue very far.
Even so, the parallel was never remarked upon (as far as we know) until we
first published "Ephraim" in 1995.

The advantages of "The Menorah":
* Many prefer it.
*It is attractive.
*It has meaning to Orthodox Jews, Messianic Christians, and Christians in
general
and is already used by several organizations.
*It is reminiscent of the Temple Service, of the Law, and of the wish of
many in "Joseph" to return
to their Hebrew roots. It therefore can be seen as representing the
principle of Reconciliation which is one of the
main principle of Brit-Am.
Disadvantages:
*Other groups use it.
* It has meaning for Judah more than for Joseph even though many from
Joseph are attracted to it.

Advantages of a twelve-petalled "Tudor-Rose" type Brit-Am symbol.
* It would be uniquely ours.
* It uses the red white and blue colors of all Israel.
*It represents both Britain and all Israel and should have meaning for America.
Brit-Am believes in revealing the Identity of the Lost Ten Tribes of
Israel, making this knowledge known,
and working for reconciliation with Judah. Revelation of this Brit-Am
identity involves its affirmation.
Joseph has and had a task in this world that Judah also must recognize.
A Tudor-Rose type symbol and/or a Magen David is colors of Red white and
Blue emphasizes
this principle.
