1. William Rasmussen: The Vengeance of Israel in WW2 and Psalm 18
Subject: Re: Psalms 18  Shalom from Achi Bill Rasmussen in Minnesota!

Shalom Yair:  Love your piece here on Psalm 18.  Verse 37 is of particular
interest to me.  During World War 2, the American planes that brought the
war to Germany all had biblical references:  The two heavy bombers-B 17 and
B 24 were the only American bombers that took the war directly to the heart
of Germany.  The B 17 was called "Flying Fortress".  2 Samuel 22:2, Psalm
18:2 and Psalm 91:2 all refer to HaShem as our "Fortress".  The B 24 was
called, "Liberator".  Leviticus 25:10 and Isaiah 61:1 make reference to
"Liberty" being preached throughout the land.  Both the B 17 and B 24 were
so named I believe, to ultimately save their Jewish bretheren held in
captivity by the Germans.  Interestingly, the other bombers that America
had- the B 25 and B 26 were incapable of going all the way to the heart of
Germany due to their medium bomber status.

I have photographs of Dresden and Hamburg after the bombings by the
Americans and the British.  There are comparative shots of the cities both
day and night.  There is literally a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by
night, for the American bombing had debris clouds up to 30,000 feet while
the British incendiary bombing had pillars of fire up to the same
altitude.  These "judgements" were the same as dished out to the Egyptians
when they enslaved and murdered the Israelites while in Egypt.  HaShem in
his wrath allowed the Germans to face the same consequences as the
Egyptians because of the brutality to his chosen people.

Additionally, the three American fighter aircraft that carried the war deep
into Germany were the P 47 Thunderbolt, the P 38 Lightning and the P 51
Mustang.  The Thunderbolt and Lightning can be connected to the giving of
the Torah on Mt. Sinai.  When HaShem speaks as in Exodus 19:16, thunder and
lightning accompany his voice.  The "voice" of HaShem thundered and
lightninged when these two planes shot down hordes of Luftwaffe fighters
and strafed Nazi positions on the ground.

The one plane that ties in the most with verse 37 is the P 51 Mustang.  The
American Heritage dictionary says that a mustang is a wild horse of the
North American plains, descended from Spanish stock.  From the Spanish
Mestengo meaning to stray; from
Mesta-meeting of owners of stray animals; and from Medieval Latin Mixta-
wild or
stray animals that mixed with and became attached to a grazier's herd,
"mixed animals",
from Latin Mixtus, past participle of Miscere, to mix.

Genesis 48:19 says, "...but truly his younger brother shall be gtreater
than he, and his
seed shall be a multitude of nations, or M'lo HaGoyim.  M'lo HaGoyim can be
translated as Mixed Multitude or Fulness of the Gentiles or Nations. In
Exodus 12:38, the Torah says, "And a Mixed Multitude went up also with
them; and flocks and herds and very much cattle."

The P 51 Mustang was the plane that carried the way to the heart of
Germany, for it was able to escort the bombers all the way to the target
and back to England as well.  In late 1943, even the Thunderbolt and
Lightning could not go all the way to Berlin and back.  The Mustang
could.  Initially, the Mustangs had to stay in close formation with the
bombers in order to protect them.  Before the arrival of the Mustang, the
Eighth Air Force bomber formations were decimated by the Luftwaffe, so the
leadership felt that by keeping the Mustangs close to the bombers, the
Luftwaffe would be kept at bay.  This
plan was ineffective because it did not adequately deal with the German
Luftwaffe and many planes still got through to the bombers.

General Hap Arnold, Chief of staff of the United States Army Air Forces,
addressed the commanding generals of the U.S. Air Forces on December 27,
1943 with the following New Year's message: "Therefore, my personal message
to you...this is a MUST...is to,
"Destroy the enemy Air Force wherever you find them, in the air, on the
ground and in the factories."  General James Doolitle took this to heart
and told Major Genreal Bill Kepner, boss of the 8th Fighter Command in
Europe, "Before we can invade Europe, we've got to destroy their whole
Fighter Command."  Kepner responded, Those are the words I've been waiting
to hear."  It was now the mission of every fighter in the Army Air Force to
Pursue and Destroy.  Close with the enemy and take him from 30,000 feet
down to the deck if you have to, but drive home the victory because the day
of reckoning was here.  In effect, the Mustang was allowed to stray from
the bombers and pursue and destroy the Luftwaffe.  Interestingly, a mixed
multitude of pilots from the United States flew the Mustang!

This concept of pursue and destroy that the Mustang pursued ties in nicely
with Psalm 18:37 and also 1 Samuel 30:8: "And David inquired of the L-rd,
saying, Shall I pursue
after this troop?  And he answered him, Pursue: for you shall surely
overtake them, and without fail recover all."

One more point about World War 2 and connections to the Bible:  In 1066,
William the Conquerer left Normandy to invade England and defeat the
English.  He proceeded to Hastings where he defeated the English and
established Dane law and the rule of the Normans.  We know that the Normans
originated from the tribe of Dan in Denmark and Norway as well as
Benjamin.  In a sense, those of Israelite descent, invaded England to
establish Israelite dominion.  Amazingly, on June 6, 1944, from basically
the exact same area where William landed in England, the Allies departed
from and proceeded to the exact same place in Normandy where William had
originally departed from!  In the grand sense, the Allies were out to
destroy the Nazis and rid Europe of their terror.  In a spiritual sense, it
was descendants of the Israelites who were going into to Europe to save
their Jewish bretheren from the Nazi concentration camps.  If the Allies
had not invaded at this time, more than likely, the Nazis would have killed
most if not all of the Jews in Europe.  HaShem in his vengeance and wrath,
had the sons of Jacob defeat and destroy the sons of Esau.

Our G-d is an amazing G-d and he fulfills the words of Solomon in
Ecclesiastes when he says to paraphrase, that what has happened before
shall happen again; there is nothing new under the sun.  Our G-d will
execute judgement upon the enemies of Israel again just as he did to the
Egyptians and other who tried to harm his chosen people.
Shalom, Bill Rasmussen

Hello Yair,

With this in mind about the sons of David, My Grandmother a
[quite]distant relation to British royalty talked about going behind
Turkish lines with my Grandfather in ww1. ( a Colonel in Intelligence )
Saying that so long as she was with him they could go where they liked.
They were the only ones to penetrate the Enemy lines.  He rode on a donkey
and she walked behind with her young son and pregnant with my Father. He
abused her in typical Middle east fashion.  (so she said ).
This led to the Fall of Jerusalem with the loss of no Australian troops. She
said of many things with first hand experience.
She always said it was all miracles.

3. Scots were Wanderers
From: Ian McRae

item  2. "Scottish" means Hebrew-man?

Thank you for that, Yair.    It is interesting that the Scots have been
noted "wanderers", their influence being major all over the world from Japan
to the vastness of the USA.   Everywhere you go, you will find that Scots
have "wandered"there in the past !

4. Compliment

Yair,
I am proud of you and thankful to God for your hard work and example.
You are planting a lot of seeds and they will bear fruit for God.
You will be very startled one day when you find out how many people right
now are reading your works and turning to worship the true God.
Remember millions search the internet for information on their families. It
is an excellent and uplifting way to draw in traffic and inform millions of
their lost identity.
Your Friend Always,
Rich

Answer:

We have referred to this matter several times in our writings.
Certain promises were made to the Israelite people that had to be fulfilled.
These promises were not only blessings they were also Reasons for Existence.
They were also commanded to keep the Law. If they did not keep the Law they
would be cut off.
The initial intention was that they both keep the Law and fulfill their
national mission
of becoming a great and mighty nation, extremely numerous, powerful and
wealthy that
would uplift themselves and all the world together with them.
Despite this from the very beginning there also existed the inbuilt
possibility that the
people and the national tasks would be divided.
This is what happened. The people split.
Joseph had his membership and obligations in the Spiritual Body of Israel
suspended but was given the
task of fulfilling the national goals.
Judah had to keep the Law. Judah was also blessed and will be rewarded in
the future.
Eventually the two halves will unite and so will the task of fulfilling
both the law and the National Mission
be united.
Judah has already begun to realize aspects of its own national destiny.
A chosen elite section of Joseph is feeling its way back to the Law.
Judah and Joseph are approaching mutual coordination leading up to unity.

We have written on this in the past but the subject deserves a more
thorough examination and explanation
of the sources. We may write another  article on the subject.
