Deuteronomy 26:1-29:8
s.1

[Deuteronomy 26:1] AND IT SHALL BE, WHEN THOU ART COME IN UNTO THE LAND WHICH THE LORD THY GOD GIVETH THEE FOR AN INHERITANCE, AND POSSESSEST IT, AND DWELLEST THEREIN;
God gave the Land of Canaan from the Nile to the Euphrates to Israel. The Hebrews must take control of it and dwell in it.

[Deuteronomy 26:2] THAT THOU SHALT TAKE OF THE FIRST OF ALL THE FRUIT OF THE EARTH, WHICH THOU SHALT BRING OF THY LAND THAT THE LORD THYGOD GIVETH THEE, AND SHALT PUT IT IN A BASKET, AND SHALT GO UNTO THE PLACE WHICH THE LORD THY GOD SHALL CHOOSE TO PLACE HIS NAME THERE.
One should give something of whatever blessings received to the Almighty. If one gives tithes then the tithe should be given straight away or at least set aside.

[Deuteronomy 26:3] AND THOU SHALT GO UNTO THE PRIEST THAT SHALL BE IN THOSE DAYS, AND SAY UNTO HIM, I  PROFESS THIS DAY UNTO THE LORD THY GOD, THAT I AM COME UNTO THE COUNTRY WHICH THE LORD SWARE UNTO OUR FATHERS FOR TO GIVE US.
#THAT SHALL BE IN THOSE DAYS#:  Whatever you have is at least partly by your own merit. This includes your spiritual leaders.  The Sages emphasized that the Leader in each generation is to be given the same respect as was due to a leader in a previous one even though on the individual level there may be a great qualitative difference between them.

[Deuteronomy 26:4] AND THE PRIEST SHALL TAKE THE BASKET OUT OF THINE HAND, AND SET IT DOWN BEFORE THE ALTAR OF THE LORD THY GOD.

[Deuteronomy 26:5] AND THOU SHALT SPEAK AND SAY BEFORE THE LORD THY GOD, A SYRIAN READY TO PERISH [or "A Wandering Arami"] WAS MY FATHER, AND HE WENT DOWN INTO EGYPT, AND SOJOURNED THERE WITH A FEW, AND BECAME THERE A NATION, GREAT, MIGHTY, AND POPULOUS:
A SYRIAN READY TO PERISH: This translation  is based on later Commentary. The verse was probably earlier understood as saying, #A wandering Arami [Syrian] was my forefather#.
READY TO PERISH. In Hebrew "
Oeved" which can mean "perishing" but it also connotes "wandering" cf.
AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS IN THAT DAY, THAT THE GREAT TRUMPET SHALL BE BLOWN, AND THEY SHALL COME WHICH WERE READY TO PERISH (Hebrew: ?
Ovdim? also translatable as they who were lost?)  IN THE LAND OF ASSYRIA (i.e. LTTs), AND THE OUTCASTS (i.e. Jewish Captives) IN THE LAND OF EGYPT, AND SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD IN THE HOLY MOUNT AT JERUSALEM [Isaiah 27:13].

WHICH WERE READY TO PERISH [Hebrew: Ovdim = were lost, or in the process of getting lost, or wandering] IN THE LAND OF ASSYRIA [i.e. the LTTs], AND THE OUTCASTS [i.e. the descendants of Captive Jews] IN THE LAND OF EGYPT.

Arami meant Syrian. The Israelites and Judaeans were also known as "Arami" to foreigners. Aram meant Syria but the term could also be used to encompass Israel.
Jewish mercenaries stationed in Egypt under the Persians, for instance, were referred to as "
Arami"  by the Persians.
We identify the Lost Ten Tribes with a portion of the Scythians who were also known as
Sacae.

Pliny, the Roman geographer, reported that the Scythian
Sacae had originally been known as "Arami" .

Pliny (77 CE) b: VI. XIX. states :

"Beyond [the Syr Darya, which the Scythians call the Silis] are some tribes of Scythians. To these the Persians have given the general name of Sacae, from the tribe nearest to Persia, but old writers call them the Aramii".

Here we have it. The Scythians or Sacae were originally known as Aramii. This means they wewre either Aramaeans (from Syria) or Israelites!! Israelites could also be referred to as Aramii.
From the Scythian
Sacae emerged the Anglo-Saxons and related peoples. It is interesting that the term "Scot" is a form of "Scyth" and the Scots interpreted their name to mean "Wanderer" which is also one of the connotations of the word "Hebrew".

Amongst the Celts of Britain and Gaul there was a god named Aram.

[Deuteronomy 26:6] AND THE EGYPTIANS EVIL ENTREATED US, AND AFFLICTED US, AND LAID UPON US HARD BONDAGE:
The Egyptians oppressed the Israelites. The Israelites should always remember this. This experience was a formative factor in the national character.

[Deuteronomy 26:7] AND WHEN WE CRIED UNTO THE LORD GOD OF OUR FATHERS, THE LORD HEARD OUR VOICE, AND LOOKED ON OUR AFFLICTION,AND OUR LABOUR, AND OUR OPPRESSION:
We prayed and we were saved. If anybody is in any trouble and he prays, God hears.

[Deuteronomy 26:8] AND THE LORD BROUGHT US FORTH OUT OF EGYPT WITH A MIGHTY HAND, AND WITH AN OUTSTRETCHED ARM, AND WITH GREAT TERRIBLENESS, AND WITH SIGNS, AND WITH WONDERS:

[Deuteronomy 26:9] AND HE HATH BROUGHT US INTO THIS PLACE, AND HATH GIVEN US THIS LAND, EVEN A LAND THAT  FLOWETH WITH MILK AND HONEY.

[Deuteronomy 26:10] AND NOW, BEHOLD, I HAVE BROUGHT THE FIRST FRUITS OF THE LAND, WHICH THOU, O LORD, HAST GIVEN ME. AND THOU SHALT SET IT BEFORE THE LORD THY GOD, AND WORSHIP BEFORE THE LORD THY GOD:

[Deuteronomy 26:11] AND THOU SHALT REJOICE IN EVERY GOOD THING WHICH THE LORD THY GOD HATH GIVEN UNTO THEE, AND UNTO THINE HOUSE, THOU, AND THE LEVITE, AND THE STRANGER THAT IS AMONG YOU.

[Deuteronomy 26:12] WHEN THOU HAST MADE AN END OF TITHING ALL THE TITHES OF THINE INCREASE THE THIRD YEAR, WHICH IS THE YEAR OF TITHING, AND HAST GIVEN IT UNTO THE LEVITE, THE STRANGER, THE FATHERLESS, AND THE WIDOW, THAT THEY MAY EAT WITHIN THY GATES, AND BE FILLED;
In The Hebrew Agricultural Year goes in 7 year cycles.
In Years One and Two and Four and Five the Tithe for the Levi is separated and the Second Tithe.
The Second Tithe is to be eaten only in Jerusalem meaning that the whole family would go up to Jerusalem three times a year and live there for at least a week sustaining themselves from the Second Tithe. Alternately they would have one of their member dwelling permanently in Jerusalem and living with his own family off the Second Tithe from the rest of the family. This privileged individual would be expected to occupy himself chiefly with Torah Learning.

In Years Three and Six the Tithe for the Levi is separated (as in the other years) but instead of the Second Tithe another Tithe called "Maaser Ani" (The Tithe for the Poor) is separated. This Tithe for the Poor would be given to poor people as well as to Levites in addition to the First Tithe that the Levites would already be receiving. It could happen that the First Tithe over a period of years was not always quite sufficient for all the Levites who needed it.

Apart from giving the Tithe for the Poor the males (at least) of the family would still be required to go up to Jerusalem three times a year. In Jerusalem they would eat any of the Second Tithe that was left over from previous years (grain last a long time) as well as ordinary produce.

The seventh Year (Shemittah) is the Sabbatical Year in which no agricultural work goes on, the only agricultural produce available (apart from that stored up from previous years) is that which grows of itself. No private property rights over the agricultural produce that does grow of itself is practiced.

s.2
[Deuteronomy 26:13] THEN THOU SHALT SAY BEFORE THE LORD THY GOD, I HAVE BROUGHT AWAY THE HALLOWED THINGS OUT OF MINE HOUSE, AND ALSO HAVE GIVEN THEM UNTO THE LEVITE, AND UNTO THE STRANGER, TO THE FATHERLESS, AND TO THE WIDOW, ACCORDING TO ALL THY COMMANDMENTS WHICH THOU HAST COMMANDED ME: I HAVE NOT TRANSGRESSED THY COMMANDMENTS, NEITHER HAVE I FORGOTTEN THEM.
This was said in the Third Year. In the Third Year the house and storehouses are checked to see that no produce that has not been tithed remains.

[Deuteronomy 26:14] I HAVE NOT EATEN THEREOF IN MY MOURNING, NEITHER HAVE I TAKEN AWAY OUGHT THEREOF FOR ANY UNCLEAN USE, NOR GIVE NOUGHT THEREOF FOR THE DEAD: BUT I HAVE HEARKENED TO THE VOICE OF THE LORD MY GOD, AND HAVE DONE ACCORDING TO ALL THAT THOU HAST COMMANDED ME.
One was commanded to mourn for a full day when a close relative or spouse had passed away. The Sages extended the mourning period to seven days.
It was forbidden to eat of the Second Tithe during the first Day of Mourning and/or if one was ritually unclean having touched a dead animal or corpse or had a defiling emission.

[Deuteronomy 26:15] LOOK DOWN FROM THY HOLY HABITATION, FROM HEAVEN, AND BLESS THY PEOPLE  ISRAEL, AND THE LAND WHICH THOU HAST GIVEN US, AS THOU SWAREST UNTO OUR FATHERS, A LAND THAT FLOWETH WITH MILK AND HONEY.
God is in heaven and sees us all. The People of Israel are the People of God. We do, or should do, the will of the Almighty and then we ask God to remember us.

s.3
[Deuteronomy 26:16] THIS DAY THE LORD THY GOD HATH COMMANDED THEE TO DO THESE STATUTES AND JUDGMENTS: THOU SHALT THEREFORE KEEPAND DO THEM WITH ALL THINE HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL.
The Lost Ten Tribes at present are not commanded in the Jewish Sense at present to Keep all the Law. In the future this will change. Those of them who voluntarily convert to Judaism should do it with a full heart and willingness to keep all the commandments, to worship God with all one's heart and soul. This may not always be easy. Everyone has weak points. We do what we can and should do it as well as we can.

[Deuteronomy 26:17] THOU HAST AVOUCHED THE LORD THIS DAY TO BE THY GOD, AND TO WALK IN HIS WAYS, AND TO KEEP HIS STATUTES, AND HIS COMMANDMENTS, AND HIS JUDGMENTS, AND TO HEARKEN UNTO HIS VOICE:
##WALK IN HIS WAYS##. The Sages based on this phrase said that one is commanded to imitate the Almighty. As HE is merciful so should you be merciful, as HE is good to others, so should you be, etc.

[Deuteronomy 26:18] AND THE LORD HATH AVOUCHED THEE THIS DAY TO BE HIS PECULIAR PEOPLE, AS HE HATH PROMISED THEE, AND THAT THOU SHOULDEST KEEP ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS;
The Israelites are a chosen people.
Being  a chosen people ULTIMATELY means keeping the commandments.

[Deuteronomy 26:19] AND TO MAKE THEE HIGH ABOVE ALL NATIONS WHICH HE HATH MADE, IN PRAISE, AND IN NAME, AND IN HONOUR; AND THAT THOU MAYEST BE AN HOLY PEOPLE UNTO THE LORD THY GOD, AS HE HATH SPOKEN.
Israelites are the Chosen People. They are special. They are different and this difference should be reflected in a higher Cod of Behavior.

s.4
[Deuteronomy 27:1] AND MOSES WITH THE ELDERS OF ISRAEL COMMANDED THE PEOPLE, SAYING, KEEP ALL THE COMMANDMENTS WHICH I COMMAND YOU THIS DAY.

[Deuteronomy 27:2] AND IT SHALL BE ON THE DAY WHEN YE SHALL PASS OVER JORDAN UNTO THE LAND WHICH THE LORD THY GOD GIVETH THEE, THAT THOU SHALT SET THEE UP GREAT STONES, AND PLAISTER THEM WITH PLAISTER:

[Deuteronomy 27:3] AND THOU SHALT WRITE UPON THEM ALL THE WORDS OF THIS LAW, WHEN THOU ART PASSED OVER, THAT THOU MAYEST GO IN UNTO THE LAND WHICH THE LORD THY GOD GIVETH THEE, A LAND THAT FLOWETH WITH MILK AND HONEY; AS THE LORD GOD OF  THY FATHERS HATH PROMISED THEE.

[Deuteronomy 27:4] THEREFORE IT SHALL BE WHEN YE BE GONE OVER JORDAN, THAT YE SHALL SET UP THESE STONES, WHICH I COMMAND YOU THIS DAY, IN MOUNT EBAL, AND THOU SHALT  PLAISTER THEM WITH PLAISTER.

[Deuteronomy 27:5] AND THERE SHALT THOU BUILD AN ALTAR UNTO THE LORD THY GOD, AN ALTAR OF STONES: THOU SHALT NOT LIFT UP ANY IRON TOOL UPON THEM.

[Deuteronomy 27:6] THOU SHALT BUILD THE ALTAR OF THE LORD THY GOD OF WHOLE STONES: AND THOU SHALT OFFER BURNT OFFERINGS THEREON UNTO THE LORD THY GOD:
This was carried out in the time of Joshua who succeeded Moses as the leader of Israel (Joshua 8;30-35).
This altar may have been found in
Schechem (Nablus) in the territory of Samaria.
There has been found the remains of a very large edifice consisting of a framework of
unhewn blocks filled with ashes of clean animals and earth. The dimensions are the same as that of the altar that was in the Temple at Jerusalem. Around the altar were found traces of the plaster upon which the Torah had been written by Joshua. The altar was excavated by the Israel archaeologist Adam Zertal. Adam Zertal has written a book (in Hebrew) describing his excavations and findings and discussing the Biblical history of ancient Israel from an archaeological point of view.
Adam Zertal believes that he has found the altar and edifice erected by Joshua. There are however certain problems with the location of his finding. Zertal dismisses the difficulties but others disagree. At all events he has found something of religious significance from the ancient Israelite Period. The discussion as to what exactly Zertal has found is in itself of importance.
The altar was situated in the territory of Manasseh.
Zertal considers Manasseh to have been the most important tribe in many ways in ancient Israel.
Ancient residential structures in the area are similar to those found in the British Isles and the West where they are often associated with Megalithic Monuments.
These according to the Prophet Jeremiah trace a Pathway of Migration linking the Land of Israel to western regions.

[Jeremiah 31:21] SET THEE UP WAYMARKS, MAKE THEE HIGH HEAPS: SET THINE HEART TOWARD THE HIGHWAY, EVEN THE WAY WHICH THOU WENTEST: TURN AGAIN, O VIRGIN OF ISRAEL, TURN AGAIN TO THESE THY CITIES.
http://www.britam.org/Jeremiah29to32.html

This verse in the original Hebrew (as we explain in the above URL) may be understood according to the Radak, Abarbanel, other commentators, and a literal interpretation of the Hebrew as saying:
Abarbanel: #The prophet therefore spoke concerning the Kingdom of Israel [of the Ten Tribes] SET THEE UP WAYMARKS saying that when you go into Exile make signs by the routes and waymarks like piles of rocks [i.e. cairns] or stone monuments [Hebrew: Matzavah, i.e. dolmens] so that you may set your heart to the route and remember in order that you may return in the way you went in, return to your city#
This means
thatn through archaeological evidence and related studies we may prove who the Lost Ten Tribes are today! The Prophet Jeremiah urges us to do so!

Zertal in effect believes in the historical accuracy of the Bible and says that archaeology proves it. His book concentrates on Menasseh.
Aspects of these findings throw light on certain Biblical passages. They also reveal something of the tribal character of
Menasseh.
Brit-Am believes that the Tribe of
Menasseh is the Israelite Tribe that has had the most influence on the USA and determined much of the American character.
An account of describing
Zertal's views and findings appears in our book
"Joseph - The Israelite Destiny of America"

[Deuteronomy 27:7] AND THOU SHALT OFFER PEACE OFFERINGS, AND SHALT EAT THERE, AND REJOICE BEFORE THE LORD THY GOD.

[Deuteronomy 27:8] AND THOU SHALT WRITE UPON THE STONES ALL THE WORDS OF THIS LAW VERY PLAINLY.

[Deuteronomy 27:9] AND MOSES AND THE PRIESTS THE LEVITES SPAKE UNTO ALL ISRAEL, SAYING, TAKE HEED, AND HEARKEN, O ISRAEL; THIS DAYTH OU ART BECOME THE PEOPLE OF  THE LORD THY GOD.

[Deuteronomy 27:10] THOU SHALT THEREFORE OBEY THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD, AND DO HIS COMMANDMENTS AND HIS STATUTES, WHICH I COMMAND THEE THIS DAY.

s.5
[Deuteronomy 27:11] AND MOSES CHARGED THE PEOPLE THE SAME DAY, SAYING,

[Deuteronomy 27:12] THESE SHALL STAND UPON MOUNT GERIZIM TO BLESS THE PEOPLE, WHEN YE ARE COME OVER JORDAN; SIMEON, AND LEVI, AND JUDAH, AND ISSACHAR, AND JOSEPH, AND BENJAMIN:
Half the tribes stood on the side of one mountain and half of the tribes stood on the side of another mountain facing the others.
The ark of the Covenant with the priests and some of the Levites stood in a valley between them.

[Deuteronomy 27:13] AND THESE SHALL STAND UPON MOUNT EBAL TO CURSE; REUBEN, GAD, AND ASHER, AND ZEBULUN, DAN, AND NAPHTALI.
All those who stood on Mount Ebal (of the curse) were thoroughly lost when the northern ten tribes were exiled.
Of those who stood on Mount
Gerizim (of the blessing) Simeon, Levi, Judah, and Benjamin belonged to the kingdom of Judah.  In addition a not insignificant minority of refugees from Joseph and Issachar had also been assimilated amongst Judah:

Concerning Asa the king of Judah it says that many from the north came to him for religious reasons: Ephram and Menasseh (i.e. Joseph), as well as Judah, Benjamin, and Simeon are mentioned.
2CHR 15:8] AND WHEN
ASA HEARD THESE WORDS, AND THE PROPHECY OF ODED THE PROPHET, HE TOOK COURAGE, AND PUT AWAY THE ABOMINABLE IDOLS OUT OF ALL THE LAND OF JUDAH AND BENJAMIN, AND OUT OF THE CITIES WHICH HE HAD TAKEN FROM MOUNT EPHRAIM, AND RENEWED THE ALTAR OF THE LORD, THAT WAS BEFORE THE PORCH OF THE LORD.
2CHR 15:9] AND HE GATHERED ALL JUDAH AND BENJAMIN, AND THE STRANGERS WITH THEM OUT OF EPHRAIM AND MANASSEH, AND OUT OF SIMEON: FOR THEY FELL TO HIM OUT OF ISRAEL IN ABUNDANCE, WHEN THEY SAW THAT THE LORD HIS GOD WAS WITH HIM.

This brings us to the question of refugees from the northern tribes who remained with Judah (=the Jews):
Later it says that in the time of Hezekiah people from Ephraim,
Menasseh, Issachar, and Zebulon came up to Jerusalem to sacrifice.
[2CHR 30:18] FOR A MULTITUDE OF THE PEOPLE, EVEN MANY OF EPHRAIM, AND MANASSEH,
ISSACHAR, AND ZEBULUN, HAD NOT CLEANSED THEMSELVES, YET DID THEY EAT THE PASSOVER  OTHERWISE THAN IT WAS WRITTEN. BUT HEZEKIAH PRAYED FOR THEM, SAYING, THE GOOD LORD PARDON EVERY ONE
[2CHR 30:19] THAT
PREPARETH HIS HEART TO SEEK GOD, THE LORD GOD OF HIS FATHERS,  THOUGH HE BE NOT CLEANSED ACCORDING TO THE PURIFICATION OF THE SANCTUARY.
[2CHR 30:20] AND THE LORD HEARKENED TO HEZEKIAH, AND HEALED THE PEOPLE.
Previous to this Hezekiah had sent posts
throughoutn the land asking remnants of the Northern Tribes to come up to Jerusalem:
[2CHR 30:10] SO THE POSTS PASSED FROM CITY TO CITY THROUGH THE COUNTRY OF EPHRAIM AND MANASSEH EVEN UNTO ZEBULUN: BUT THEY LAUGHED THEM TO SCORN, AND MOCKED THEM.
[2CHR 30:11] NEVERTHELESS DIVERS OF ASHER AND MANASSEH AND OF
ZEBULUN HUMBLED THEMSELVES, AND CAME TO JERUSALEM.

This happened at the beginning of the reign of Hezekiah. At this point most of the northern tribes had already been exiled by the Assyrians. A remnant remained. Most of this remnant was also destined to soon be taken into exile but we know from archaeology that some escaped to Jerusalem. It may be that many out of the few that escaped belonged to those who feared God.

In conclusion:
Those who remained in Judah were from the Tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi, along with representative minorities from the other other tribes the majority of whom however went into Assyrian Exile. The other Ten Tribes were destined to
achieve their Tribal Self-realization in Exile as part of the Lost Ten Tribes as explained by Nachmanides.
http://
www.britam.org/Nachmanides.html

Out of the small minoirity proportion of the Ten Tribes who stayed with Judah is would appear that there were more from the Tribes of Benjamin, Simeon, Issachar, and Joseph.
The present-day Jews DO INCLUDE descendants of all the Tribes BUT the Ten Tribes are only a minority and subservient from the Tribal point of view to Judah.

[Deuteronomy 27:14] AND THE LEVITES SHALL SPEAK, AND SAY UNTO ALL THE MEN OF ISRAEL WITH A LOUD VOICE,

[Deuteronomy 27:15] CURSED BE THE MAN THAT MAKETH ANY GRAVEN OR MOLTEN IMAGE, AN ABOMINATION UNTO THE LORD, THE WORK OF THE HANDS OF THE CRAFTSMAN, AND PUTTETH IT IN A SECRET PLACE. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL ANSWER AND SAY, AMEN.

[Deuteronomy 27:16] CURSED BE HE THAT SETTETH LIGHT BY HIS FATHER OR HIS MOTHER. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SAY, AMEN.
Our fathers and mothers are the reason for our being. We are commanded to honor and fear  (respect) them. Even so we all have complexes that we blame our parents for. Sometimes this  blame may be justified but usually it is exaggerated. These unnecessary and superfluous complexes of ours are often factors that psychologically cripple us. By not despising our parents we do not demean ourselves in our own subconscious. This can help us go forward and succeed. The psychological importance of the commandments alone very often justifies them.

[Deuteronomy 27:17] CURSED BE HE THAT REMOVETH HIS NEIGHBOUR'S LANDMARK. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SAY, AMEN.
What someone else has merited we should not encroach upon.

[Deuteronomy 27:18] CURSED BE HE THAT MAKETH THE BLIND TO WANDER OUT OF THE WAY. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SAY, AMEN.
This injunction applies to anyone who is "blind" or unaware of something. We are forbidden to exploit the ignorance of others.

[Deuteronomy 27:19] CURSED BE HE THAT PERVERTETH THE JUDGMENT OF THE STRANGER, FATHERLESS, AND WIDOW. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SAY, AMEN.
#THE STRANGER, FATHERLESS, AND WIDOW# are all vulnerable. The justice of this injunction is obvious and one's first reaction is to say,

"Of course, that's obvious!"

In practice however when under pressure, and pain, and in positions of authority when by sacrificing the weak we can relieve the pressure, - we may be tempted to do so.

[Deuteronomy 27:20] CURSED BE HE THAT LIETH WITH HIS FATHER'S WIFE; BECAUSE HE UNCOVERETH HIS FATHER'S SKIRT. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SAY, AMEN.

[Deuteronomy 27:21] CURSED BE HE THAT LIETH WITH ANY MANNER OF BEAST. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SAY, AMEN.
Many homosexuals today have also had experiences with "beasts." In Norway and Denmark it is legal.

[Deuteronomy 27:22] CURSED BE HE THAT LIETH WITH HIS SISTER, THE DAUGHTER OF HIS FATHER, OR THE DAUGHTER OF HIS MOTHER. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SAY, AMEN.
Most prostitutes in western societies were the victims of child abuse, usually incest.
When you do something that is wrong it usually does end "there" but carries on and has an echoing effect of great proportions.
So too, when someone does a good deed it is amplified and often has other good effects elsewhere.

[Deuteronomy 27:23] CURSED BE HE THAT LIETH WITH HIS MOTHER IN LAW. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SAY, AMEN.

[Deuteronomy 27:24] CURSED BE HE THAT SMITETH HIS NEIGHBOUR SECRETLY. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SAY, AMEN.
In a literal sense it is forbidden to use physical violence against others when it is unnecessary and one is forbidden from harming others gratuitously.

[Deuteronomy 27:25] CURSED BE HE THAT TAKETH REWARD TO SLAY AN INNOCENT PERSON. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SAY, AMEN.
Doctors and nurses who perform abortions and other people whose activities harm the public wealm are offenders.

[Deuteronomy 27:26] CURSED BE HE THAT CONFIRMETH NOT ALL THE WORDS OF THIS LAW TO DO THEM. AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SAY, AMEN.
All of the Law must be kept by those who are obliged. Those who are not so obliged should also respect the Law. The Lost Ten Tribes do not have to keep the Law at this stage. In the past they did have to keep the Law and in the future they will return and do so.
The Lost Ten Tribes has a responsibility not to cause Judah to depart from the Law. Do not
missionize or tempt Jews away from the Torah.

[Deuteronomy 28:1] AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS, IF THOU SHALT HEARKEN DILIGENTLY UNTO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD, TO OBSERVE AND TO DO ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS WHICH I COMMAND THEE THIS DAY, THAT THE LORD THY GOD WILL SET THEE ON HIGH ABOVE ALL NATIONS OF THE EARTH:
You will be elevated.
The Book of Deuteronomy is one of the most powerful of all Biblical books.

[Deuteronomy 28:2] AND ALL THESE BLESSINGS SHALL COME ON THEE, AND OVERTAKE THEE, IF THOU SHALT HEARKEN UNTO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD.

[Deuteronomy 28:3] BLESSED SHALT THOU BE IN THE CITY, AND BLESSED SHALT THOU BE IN THE FIELD.

[Deuteronomy 28:4] BLESSED SHALL BE THE FRUIT OF THY BODY, AND THE FRUIT OF THY GROUND, AND THE FRUIT OF THY CATTLE, THE INCREASE OF THY KINE,AND THE FLOCKS OF THY SHEEP.

[Deuteronomy 28:5] BLESSED SHALL BE THY BASKET AND THY STORE.

s.6
[Deuteronomy 28:6] BLESSED SHALT THOU BE WHEN THOU COMEST IN, AND BLESSED SHALT THOU BE WHEN THOU GOEST OUT.
You and your children will be blessed at the beginning of your lives and at their end. You will begin a day with the blessing of the Almighty and end it with even greater blessing. This happens. We know it does. We also know that it can also happen to us but in many cases will not do so probably because we have not kept to the straight and narrow.

[Deuteronomy 28:7] THE LORD SHALL CAUSE THINE ENEMIES THAT RISE UP AGAINST THEE TO BE SMITTEN BEFORE THY FACE: THEY SHALL COME OUT AGAINST THEE ONE WAY, AND FLEE BEFORE THEE SEVEN WAYS.
Your enemies will all run away from you even though they may be many more than you and have weapons and means that you lack. They will still flee.

[Deuteronomy 28:8] THE LORD SHALL COMMAND THE BLESSING UPON THEE IN THY STOREHOUSES, AND IN ALL THAT THOU SETTEST THINE HAND UNTO;AND HE SHALL BLESS THEE IN THE LAND WHICH THE LORD THY GOD GIVETH THEE.

[Deuteronomy 28:9] THE LORD SHALL ESTABLISH THEE AN HOLY PEOPLE UNTO HIMSELF, AS HE HATH SWORN UNTO THEE, IF THOU SHALT KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD THY GOD, AND WALK IN HIS WAYS.

[Deuteronomy 28:10] AND ALL PEOPLE OF THE EARTH SHALL SEE THAT THOU ART CALLED BY THE NAME OF THE LORD; AND THEY SHALL BE AFRAID OF THEE.
All the nations of the world will fear you! The Bible says so.

[Deuteronomy 28:11] AND THE LORD SHALL MAKE THEE PLENTEOUS IN GOODS, IN THE FRUIT OF THY BODY, AND IN THE FRUIT OF THY CATTLE, AND INTHE FRUIT OF THY GROUND, IN THE LAND WHICH THE LORD SWARE UNTO THY FATHERS TO GIVE THEE.

[Deuteronomy 28:12] THE LORD SHALL OPEN UNTO THEE HIS GOOD TREASURE, THE HEAVEN TO GIVE THE RAIN UNTO THY LAND IN HIS SEASON, AND TOBLESS ALL THE WORK OF THINE HAND: AND THOU SHALT LEND UNTO MANY NATIONS, AND THOU SHALT NOT BORROW.
The USA has lent money to every nation on earth.
Britain in the past also lent money to other nations and invested in them. The UK still benefits from returns on these investments. That is one of the reasons why the UK continues to appear relatively powerful and prosperous even though according to statistics it should have dwindled much more than it it has.

[Deuteronomy 28:13] AND THE LORD SHALL MAKE THEE THE HEAD, AND NOT THE TAIL; AND THOU SHALT BE ABOVE ONLY, AND THOU SHALT NOT BE BENEATH; IF THAT THOU HEARKEN UNTO THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD THY GOD, WHICH I COMMAND THEE THIS DAY, TO OBSERVE AND TO DO THEM:
The Lost Ten Tribes in their places of exile had their membership in the Religious Covenant of Israel suspended. From the point of view of religious obligation they were no longer considered "Jewish" even though in the future they will be. During the intermediate period we are still in the Lost Ten tribes became "Gentiles" as far as their obligations were concerned. They were no longer obliged to keep the commandments though they are destined to do so as they were at the beginning.
It was prophesied that the northern Tribes would forget for a long period the formal Law and be effectually "divorced"   (Jeremiah 3;8). In a religious sense for a time they would no longer be considered the people of God (Hosea 2;4). In the future the Lost Ten Tribes will return. At present their legal-religious status is that of non-Israelites (
Yebamot 17). These legally "non-Jewish" descendants of Israel were to fulfill a predestined role of their own. The Separation of the Israelite Tribes had a Divine Purpose, "This thing is from me" (1-Kings 12;24). In so far as the overall Divine Will was abided by so too is that aspect of the "Law" fulfilled.
The Lost Ten Tribes will have to return and accept anew the Law of Moses and Israel. This is also mentioned in the Jerusalem Talmud (sanhedrin, 10) and  in the Zohar (Genesis 48;8, VaYechi, 88m).
REMEMBER YE THE LAW OF MOSES MY SERVANT, WHICH I COMMANDED UNTO HIM IN
HOREB FOR ALL ISRAEL, WITH THE STATUTES AND JUDGMENTS  [Malachi 4:4].

HE WILL TURN AGAIN, HE WILL HAVE COMPASSION UPON US; HE WILL SUBDUE OUR INIQUITIES; AND THOU WILT CAST ALL THEIR SINS INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE SEA.
THOU WILT PERFORM THE TRUTH TO JACOB, AND THE MERCY TO ABRAHAM, WHICH THOU HAST SWORN UNTO OUR FATHERS FROM THE DAYS OF OLD [Micah 7:19-20].
The Jews of Judah on the other hand did remain obligated by the law. When the Jews failed to keep the law as they should have they were punished. Many of the following verses were fulfilled in the Jewish historical experience. A brief summary of some aspects of the History of Judah and the Jews helps to understand the present passage.

[Deuteronomy 28:14] AND THOU SHALT NOT GO ASIDE FROM ANY OF THE WORDS WHICH I COMMAND THEE THIS DAY, TO THE RIGHT HAND, OR TO THELEFT, TO GO AFTER OTHER GODS TO SERVE THEM.

[Deuteronomy 28:15] BUT IT SHALL COME TO PASS, IF THOU WILT NOT HEARKEN UNTO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD, TO OBSERVE TO DO ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS AND HIS STATUTES WHICH I COMMAND THEE THIS DAY; THAT ALL THESE CURSES SHALL COME UPON THEE, AND OVERTAKE THEE:

[Deuteronomy 28:36] THE LORD SHALL BRING THEE, AND THY KING WHICH THOU SHALT SET OVER THEE, UNTO A NATION WHICH NEITHER THOU NOR THY FATHERS HAVE KNOWN; AND THERE SHALT THOU SERVE OTHER GODS, WOOD AND STONE.
These verses were fulfilled mainly by Judah at the time of their exile by the Babylonians and later by the Romans and their subsequent persecution by the Gentile nations.
#THY KING WHICH THOU
SHALT SET OVER THEE##: The commentators point out that it says ?the king that YOU shall set over you? and not the monarch that God had appointed. This was fulfilled in Judah. The Hasmonean Kings were Priests (Cohens) of the Tribe of Levi. Their dynasty had been founded by Judah the Maccabee. They were a heroic family who saved Judah from the oppression of the Greek Seleucids. They then made themselves hereditary monarchs over Judah. They were criticized for this since Judah had received a tradition that only someone from the House of David could be rightfully king over them.

Nachmanides says:

#THE LORD SHALL BRING THEE, AND THY KING WHICH THOU SHALT SET OVER THEE, UNTO A NATION WHICH NEITHER THOU NOR THYFATHERS HAVE KNOWN? was referring to to Agripus [i.e. Herod Agrippa I was King off and on from 37 to 41CE  and through 44 CE. He was the father of Herod Agrippas II] who was taken to Rome. It is also possible that the verse is referring to a previous monarch to Agrippus, namely Aristobulos who was siezed by the Roman Commander and taken to Rome in chains and there he was AN ASTONISHMENT, A PROVERB, AND A BYWORD, AMONG ALL NATIONS [28:37] who had been astounded at the heroic might [of this dynasty in the past] and had now fallen down. After that Agrippus [i.e. Herod Agrippas II, 48-100 CE ] came once more into the Land with the emissary of the Roman Caesar and in the Land of Judah conquered many great cities, and thus was fulfilled the verse, #THEREFORE SHALT THOU SERVE THINE ENEMIES WHICH THE LORD SHALL SEND AGAINST THEE, IN HUNGER, AND IN THIRST# [28:48], and it says  #THE LORD SHALL BRING A NATION AGAINST THEE FROM FAR# [28:49]: For Vespasian and his son Titus came into the Land with a great number of Roman soldiers and they captured all the fortified cities of Judah and oppressed them very much, as recorded in the Literature. They captured the walls of Jerusalem. There was nothing left  except the Holy Temple and the Wall of the Courtyard. They were eating the flesh of their sons and daughters [28:53]. Then was fulfilled in them,  #YE SHALL BE PLUCKED FROM OFF THE LAND# [28:63]. They were then taken into captivity by the Romans who took them back to Rome and by numerous other peoples who were with them [who had come with the Romans] from Greece, Egypt, Aram (Syria), and numerous others. Thus was fulfilled, #AND THE LORD SHALL SCATTER THEE AMONG ALL PEOPLE [S] [28:64]. And also, #AND THY LIFE SHALL HANG IN DOUBT BEFORE THEE#  [28:66]: This was fulfilled due to our fear in exile of the Gentiles with their constant decrees against us. It is also a hint at those previous generations at the time when the Second Temple was destroyed when they were attempting to destroy them [the Jews] altogether . This is why it says straight afterwards,  #AND THE LORD SHALL BRING THEE INTO EGYPT AGAIN WITH SHIPS# [28:68].

Nachmanides goes on to explain how other verses concerning the Jews in exile were also fulfilled, such as:
# AND YET FOR ALL THAT, WHEN THEY BE IN THE LAND OF THEIR ENEMIES, I WILL NOT CAST THEM AWAY, NEITHER WILL I ABHOR THEM, TO DESTROY THEM UTTERLY, AND TO BREAK MY COVENANT WITH THEM: FOR I AM THE LORD THEIR GOD.
#BUT I WILL FOR THEIR SAKES REMEMBER THE COVENANT OF THEIR ANCESTORS, WHOM
IBROUGHT FORTH OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT IN THE SIGHT OF THE HEATHEN, THAT I MIGHT BE THEIR GOD: I AM  THE LORD# [Leviticus 26:44-45]  .

70 A.D. Destruction of Jerusalem 1,100,000 Jews were killed and 97,000 taken into slavery and captivity. 115 Rebellion of the Jews in Mesopotania, Egypt, Cyrene and Cyprus. Jews and Romans inflicted many barbaric atrocities on each other, causing the death of several hundreds of thousands of Romans and Jews. 132-35 The Bar Kochba rebellion (Bar Kochba was a false Messiah). Caused the death of 500,000 Jews; thousands were sold into slavery or taken into captivity.

[Deuteronomy 28:37] AND THOU SHALT BECOME AN ASTONISHMENT, A PROVERB, AND A BYWORD, AMONG ALL NATIONS WHITHER THE LORD SHALLLEAD THEE.

[Deuteronomy 28:38] THOU SHALT CARRY MUCH SEED OUT INTO THE FIELD, AND SHALT GATHER BUT LITTLE IN; FOR THE LOCUST SHALL CONSUME IT.

[Deuteronomy 28:39] THOU SHALT PLANT VINEYARDS, AND DRESS THEM, BUT SHALT NEITHER DRINK OF THE WINE, NOR GATHER THE GRAPES; FOR THEWORMS SHALL EAT THEM.

[Deuteronomy 28:40] THOU SHALT HAVE OLIVE TREES THROUGHOUT ALL THY COASTS, BUT THOU SHALT NOT ANOINT THYSELF WITH THE OIL; FOR THINE OLIVESHALL CAST HIS FRUIT.

[Deuteronomy 28:41] THOU SHALT BEGET SONS AND DAUGHTERS, BUT THOU SHALT NOT ENJOY THEM; FOR THEY SHALL GO INTO CAPTIVITY.

[Deuteronomy 28:42] ALL THY TREES AND FRUIT OF THY LAND SHALL THE LOCUST CONSUME.

[Deuteronomy 28:43] THE STRANGER THAT IS WITHIN THEE SHALL GET UP ABOVE THEE VERY HIGH; AND THOU SHALT COME DOWN VERY LOW.

[Deuteronomy 28:44] HE SHALL LEND TO THEE, AND THOU SHALT NOT LEND TO HIM: HE SHALL BE THE HEAD, AND THOU SHALT BE THE TAIL.

[Deuteronomy 28:45] MOREOVER ALL THESE CURSES SHALL COME UPON THEE, AND SHALL PURSUE THEE, AND OVERTAKE THEE, TILL THOU BE DESTROYED;BECAUSE THOU HEARKENEDST NOT UNTO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD, TO KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS AND HIS STATUTES WHICH HECOMMANDED THEE:

[Deuteronomy 28:46] AND THEY SHALL BE UPON THEE FOR A SIGN AND FOR A WONDER, AND UPON THY SEED FOR EVER.

[Deuteronomy 28:47] BECAUSE THOU SERVEDST NOT THE LORD THY GOD WITH JOYFULNESS, AND WITH GLADNESS OF HEART, FOR THE ABUNDANCE OFALL THINGS;

[Deuteronomy 28:48] THEREFORE SHALT THOU SERVE THINE ENEMIES WHICH THE LORD SHALL SEND AGAINST THEE, IN HUNGER, AND IN THIRST, AND INNAKEDNESS, AND IN WANT OF ALL THINGS: AND HE SHALL PUT A YOKE OF IRON UPON THY NECK, UNTIL HE HAVE DESTROYED THEE.

[Deuteronomy 28:49] THE LORD SHALL BRING A NATION AGAINST THEE FROM FAR, FROM THE END OF THE EARTH, AS SWIFT AS THE EAGLE FLIETH; A NATION WHOSE TONGUE THOU SHALT NOT UNDERSTAND;
##FROM FAR, FROM THE END OF THE EARTH##: The Romans came from Italy bringing with them German and other mercenaries. This was considered in those days as coming from a great distance.
##AS SWIFT AS THE EAGLE
FLIETH##: The symbol of the Roman legions was an eagle.

[Deuteronomy 28:50] A NATION OF FIERCE COUNTENANCE, WHICH SHALL NOT REGARD THE PERSON OF THE OLD, NOR SHEW FAVOUR TO THE YOUNG:

[Deuteronomy 28:51] AND HE SHALL EAT THE FRUIT OF THY CATTLE, AND THE FRUIT OF THY LAND, UNTIL THOU BE DESTROYED: WHICH ALSO SHALL NOT LEAVETHEE EITHER CORN, WINE, OR OIL, OR THE INCREASE OF THY KINE, OR FLOCKS OF THY SHEEP, UNTIL HE HAVE DESTROYED THEE.

[Deuteronomy 28:52] AND HE SHALL BESIEGE THEE IN ALL THY GATES, UNTIL THY HIGH AND FENCED WALLS COME DOWN, WHEREIN THOU TRUSTEDST,THROUGHOUT ALL THY LAND: AND HE SHALL BESIEGE THEE IN ALL THY GATES THROUGHOUT ALL THY LAND, WHICH THE LORD THY GOD HATH GIVENTHEE.

[Deuteronomy 28:53] AND THOU SHALT EAT THE FRUIT OF THINE OWN BODY, THE FLESH OF THY SONS AND OF THY DAUGHTERS, WHICH THE LORD THYGOD HATH GIVEN THEE, IN THE SIEGE, AND IN THE STRAITNESS, WHEREWITH THINE ENEMIES SHALL DISTRESS THEE:

[Deuteronomy 28:54] SO THAT THE MAN THAT IS TENDER AMONG YOU, AND VERY DELICATE, HIS EYE SHALL BE EVIL TOWARD HIS BROTHER, AND TOWARDTHE WIFE OF HIS BOSOM, AND TOWARD THE REMNANT OF HIS CHILDREN WHICH HE SHALL LEAVE:

[Deuteronomy 28:55] SO THAT HE WILL NOT GIVE TO ANY OF THEM OF THE FLESH OF HIS CHILDREN WHOM HE SHALL EAT: BECAUSE HE HATH NOTHING LEFTHIM IN THE SIEGE, AND IN THE STRAITNESS, WHEREWITH THINE ENEMIES SHALL DISTRESS THEE IN ALL THY GATES.

[Deuteronomy 28:56] THE TENDER AND DELICATE WOMAN AMONG YOU, WHICH WOULD NOT ADVENTURE TO SET THE SOLE OF HER FOOT UPON THEGROUND FOR DELICATENESS AND TENDERNESS, HER EYE SHALL BE EVIL TOWARD THE HUSBAND OF HER BOSOM, AND TOWARD HER SON, ANDTOWARD HER DAUGHTER,

[Deuteronomy 28:57] AND TOWARD HER YOUNG ONE THAT COMETH OUT FROM BETWEEN HER FEET, AND TOWARD HER CHILDREN WHICH SHE SHALL BEAR:FOR SHE SHALL EAT THEM FOR WANT OF ALL THINGS SECRETLY IN THE SIEGE AND STRAITNESS, WHEREWITH THINE ENEMY SHALL DISTRESS THEE IN THYGATES.

[Deuteronomy 28:58] IF THOU WILT NOT OBSERVE TO DO ALL THE WORDS OF THIS LAW THAT ARE WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK, THAT THOU MAYEST FEAR THISGLORIOUS AND FEARFUL NAME, THE LORD THY GOD;

[Deuteronomy 28:59] THEN THE LORD WILL MAKE THY PLAGUES WONDERFUL, AND THE PLAGUES OF THY SEED, EVEN GREAT PLAGUES, AND OF LONGCONTINUANCE, AND SORE SICKNESSES, AND OF LONG CONTINUANCE.

[Deuteronomy 28:60] MOREOVER HE WILL BRING UPON THEE ALL THE DISEASES OF EGYPT, WHICH THOU WAST AFRAID OF; AND THEY SHALL CLEAVE UNTOTHEE.

[Deuteronomy 28:61] ALSO EVERY SICKNESS, AND EVERY PLAGUE, WHICH IS NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THIS LAW, THEM WILL THE LORD BRINGUPON THEE, UNTIL THOU BE DESTROYED.

[Deuteronomy 28:62] AND YE SHALL BE LEFT FEW IN NUMBER, WHEREAS YE WERE AS THE STARS OF HEAVEN FOR MULTITUDE; BECAUSE THOU WOULDESTNOT OBEY THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD.

[Deuteronomy 28:63] AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS, THAT AS THE LORD REJOICED OVER YOU TO DO YOU GOOD, AND TO MULTIPLY YOU; SO THELORD WILL REJOICE OVER YOU TO DESTROY YOU, AND TO BRING YOU TO NOUGHT; AND YE SHALL BE PLUCKED FROM OFF THE LAND WHITHER THOUGOEST TO POSSESS IT.

[Deuteronomy 28:64] AND THE LORD SHALL SCATTER THEE AMONG ALL PEOPLE, FROM THE ONE END OF THE EARTH EVEN UNTO THE OTHER; AND THERETHOU SHALT SERVE OTHER GODS, WHICH NEITHER THOU NOR THY FATHERS HAVE KNOWN, EVEN WOOD AND STONE.

[Deuteronomy 28:65] AND AMONG THESE NATIONS SHALT THOU FIND NO EASE, NEITHER SHALL THE SOLE OF THY FOOT HAVE REST: BUT THE LORD SHALLGIVE THEE THERE A TREMBLING HEART, AND FAILING OF EYES, AND SORROW OF MIND:

[Deuteronomy 28:66] AND THY LIFE SHALL HANG IN DOUBT BEFORE THEE; AND THOU SHALT FEAR DAY AND NIGHT, AND SHALT HAVE NONE ASSURANCE OFTHY LIFE:DEUT

[Deuteronomy 28:67] IN THE MORNING THOU SHALT SAY, WOULD GOD IT WERE EVEN! AND AT EVEN THOU SHALT SAY, WOULD GOD IT WERE MORNING! FOR THE FEAR OF THINE HEART WHEREWITH THOU SHALT FEAR, AND FOR THE SIGHT OF THINE EYES WHICH THOU SHALT SEE.

[Deuteronomy 28:68] AND THE LORD SHALL BRING THEE INTO EGYPT AGAIN WITH SHIPS, BY THE WAY WHEREOF I SPAKE UNTO THEE, THOU SHALTSEE IT NO MORE AGAIN: AND THERE YE SHALL BE SOLD UNTO YOUR ENEMIES FOR BONDMEN AND BONDWOMEN, AND NO MAN SHALL BUY YOU.
This happened to the Jews of Judah after the fall of Jerusalem  in the time of the Romans. Slaves were brought to Gaza, taken in ships to Egypt and there sold at give-away prices. Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 CE and most of the poulation ensalved and exiled. There was another revolt  in 115  led by Bar Cochba and still another  in 130 CE,

Munter, pp..85 f,113:
##Then [after the fall of
Beitar] everything came under the yoke of Rome. Innumerable captives were sold into slavery, each slave was sold for the price of a horse. Those who were not sold on the spot were brought down to Gaza. And those who there too were not sold were placed in boats and taken to Egypt.##

##The number of those sold into slavery was beyond count. At the annual fair in Hebron so many were offered for sale that the value of a Jewish slave was lessthan that of a horse. The remainder who were not sold were brought to  Gaza and sold there or sent to Egypt in slavery and in passage [many] died of hunger or boat-wrekage at sea.##

##He chose the tallest and handsomest amongst them for his triumphal parade. Of the rest all who were over 17 years old he sent as slaves to Egypt##

[Deuteronomy 29:1] THESE ARE THE WORDS OF THE COVENANT, WHICH THE LORD COMMANDED MOSES TO MAKE WITH THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL INTHE LAND OF MOAB, BESIDE THE COVENANT WHICH HE MADE WITH THEM IN HOREB.

[Deuteronomy 29:2] AND MOSES CALLED UNTO ALL ISRAEL, AND SAID UNTO THEM, YE HAVE SEEN ALL THAT THE LORD DID BEFORE YOUR EYES IN THE LAND OF EGYPT UNTO PHARAOH, AND UNTO ALL HIS SERVANTS, AND UNTO ALL HIS LAND;

[Deuteronomy 29:3] THE GREAT TEMPTATIONS WHICH THINE EYES HAVE SEEN, THE SIGNS, AND THOSE GREAT MIRACLES:

[Deuteronomy 29:4] YET THE LORD HATH NOT GIVEN YOU AN HEART TO PERCEIVE, AND EYES TO SEE, AND EARS TO HEAR, UNTO THIS DAY.

[Deuteronomy 29:5] AND I HAVE LED YOU FORTY YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS: YOUR CLOTHES ARE NOT WAXEN OLD UPON YOU, AND THY SHOE IS NOTWAXEN OLD UPON THY FOOT.

[Deuteronomy 29:6] YE HAVE NOT EATEN BREAD, NEITHER HAVE YE DRUNK WINE OR STRONG DRINK: THAT YE MIGHT KNOW THAT I AM THE LORDYOUR GOD.

[Deuteronomy 29:7] AND WHEN YE CAME UNTO THIS PLACE, SIHON THE KING OF HESHBON, AND OG THE KING OF BASHAN, CAME OUT AGAINST USUNTO BATTLE, AND WE SMOTE THEM:

[Deuteronomy 29:8] AND WE TOOK THEIR LAND, AND GAVE IT FOR AN INHERITANCE UNTO THE REUBENITES, AND TO THE GADITES, AND TO THE HALF TRIBE OF MANASSEH.
We should remember:
The Promised Land of Canaan that was pledged to Israel includes NOT ONLY the present State of Israel BUT ALSO other areas, such as Jordan, parts of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, Lebanon, part of Egypt, the Sinai, Syria, parts of Turkey, and part of Iraq, and the Island of Cyprus.
All these areas together comprise the Promised Land.

[Deuteronomy 29:9] KEEP THEREFORE THE WORDS OF THIS COVENANT, AND DO THEM, THAT YE MAY PROSPER IN ALL THAT YE DO.

The Haftorah  ch.60:1-22

http://www.britam.org/ProphSumContents.html
The light of God will shine upon Judah and all those associated with her (60:1). Gentile leaders will come to Judah for instruction and enlightenment (60:3). "Captive" (Assimilated) Jews and Lost Israelites will return (60:4).
The Lost Ten Tribes who were exiled to the Isles of the Sea (and other places) will return (60:5). The riches of the world will be brought unto you (60:5-7). The Exiles of Judah and of the Lost Ten Tribes will return by air travel (60:8).
They will come back from the Islands and the Atlantic Ocean area (60:9).  Other peoples will serve you willingly  (60:10-11). Nations that will not serve you will be destroyed (60:12).
The persecutors of the Jews shall repent. Their descendants shall request forgiveness and acknowledge the basic relative  innocence and righteousness of the Jewish people (60:14-16). Great prosperity will prevail (60:17). Human nature will change. There will be no more violence (60:18). Through  being righteous Israel shall merit to be blessed (60:21). If you are meritorious the Messianic Age will come sooner but if not there is a time-limit after which the End Times will come at all events (60:22).

The verse (Isaiah 60:8) we are dealing with said:
[Isaiah 60:8] WHO ARE THESE THAT FLY AS A CLOUD, AND AS THE DOVES TO THEIR WINDOWS"
They fly on the clouds in
Airplanes.  When was it possible for this prophecy to have been literally fulfilled before our times?
The Talmud (Baba
Batra 75;b) says:
##When Israel sins somewhat, they are brought down like a fowl [flying away], as it says, "AS FOR EPHRAIM, THEIR GLORY SHALL FLY AWAY LIKE A BIRD" [Hosea 9:11]. When they gain merit, they are elevated like a cloud, as it says,  "WHO ARE THESE THAT FLY AS A CLOUD" [Isaiah 60:8].##
So we see that in at least one place the Talmud speaks of  the above verse in Isaiah (60:8) in connection to Ephraim meaning to the Lost Ten Tribes.

[Isaiah 60:9] SURELY THE ISLES SHALL WAIT FOR ME, AND THE SHIPS OF TARSHISH FIRST, TO BRING THY SONS FROM FAR, THEIR SILVER AND THEIR GOLD WITH THEM, UNTO THE NAME OF THE LORD THY GOD, AND TO THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, BECAUSE HE HATH GLORIFIED THEE.
"SURELY THE ISLES SHALL WAIT FOR ME"
Iben Ezra Commentary: "For I will give them a good reward."
"THE SHIPS OF
TARSHISH FIRST": Ships that plough the Atlantic Ocean bringing people back from America, Britain, and Western Europe.
