1. Yoel. Was the Great Depression Due to
Anti-Jewish Prejudice? Shalom, It's really unfortunate what happened with Google, I hope it'll revert. I don't think it's purposeful, their searches are done by algorithms and the parameters changes periodically. See related: http://www.israelhayom.com/site/ newsletter_article.php?id=4174 On another matter: I saw a documentary yesterday called "free to choose" by Milton Friedman. As you probably know, Friedman is one of the best economists of the 20th century. He is the main opponent to John Maynard Keynes. Friedman can be considered a right-wing economist versus Keynes who is left. He was a Jewish guy from Brooklyn. In the beginning of part 3 of the series he said something that amazed me. He claims that the period leading to the Great Depression could have withstood all the calamities and not evolve into a great depression, but for the collapse of the United States Bank. The United Stats Bank was a private bank owned by Jews, with many Jewish businessmen as customers, based in NYC. Other banks, being jealous of the bank's success, its name (which sounds as if it is a governmental bank), and resenting it for being owned by Jews and having Jewish customers, started spreading malicious rumors about the bank which led to a run on the bank. When trouble started, negotiations with other banks to save it failed. Eventually it had to close it doors. The first bank of it's size being allowed to fail. [ Later, in the middle of the depression, the bank paid back all its customers 92 cent on the dollar! ] The failure spread to other banks, the Federal Reserve failed to prop them and the great depression ensued. What amazed me about it is that accordingly, the Great Depression happened because of antisemitism ! Yoel. 2. Our book, The Khazars. Tribe 13.
