1. Racial Inheritance is anathema to
Certain Types. Re Y. Fogelman
Brit-Am Verbally Topples TOP (but otherwise wishes it success).
The following addition has been made to the article. Those of you who read the
debate between Brit-Am and Yaakov Fogelman
shortly after it was posted may have missed the points below. They are important
so we are presenting them here:
Yaakov has an agenda of his own. He in himself is not so important but he
represents a certain type who will be encountered and therefore is worth
This type is against the concept of Racial Inheritance or Racial Belonging to a
group. The idea of the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel depends on inherited rights and
claims. Therefore beliefs based on inheritance will be opposed. Psychologically
we know that if a child learns from his mother that the father is to be
disobeyed then the child will have difficulty obeying anybody since obedience to
others is like betrayal of the father. So too, with Yaakov.
Fogelman, for reasons he may be unaware of, has some kind of hang-up about
seeing the Jewish People as a race. He is however strongly conscious of his own
Jewishness. He therefore cannot allow for the existence of Israelites by race
Claims to be members of the Lost Ten
Tribes coming from submissive, complacent, pleasant, eager-to-please Orientals
are not a threat. On the contrary the more there are the more they may help
dilute whatever racial consciousness still exists amongst the Jewish People.
There may be little we can do to
bring Yaakov over to our side since he is constitutionally sold out. We may at
least console ourselves with the knowledge that a failure to convince Yaakov
lies in causes beyond our control and does not reflect any weakness in our
Another point worth noting is the use
Yaakov made of snobbery. Yaakov is not a snob but he uses it as a weapon to
defend his position or to further the cause of those he favors. He mentioned for
instance, more than once, our own lack of Rabbinic Ordination. Fogelman in the
past has written disparagingly about the value of Rabbinical Qualifications and
does not hesitate to attack Rabbis in general. He has gotten into trouble over
this. In our case however he sensed that this may be a weak spot of ours, at
least in the eyes of others, and so he harped on it.
The same applies to University Degrees, Alleged Lack
of Fluency in the Spoken Tongue, Lack of Private Funding or Major Backers, etc.
These are all really irrelevant even in the eyes of Fogelman himself but he will
use them to intimidate his opponent.
If one does not work he will use the other.
Brit-Am the Lost Ten Tribes
Movement and its members need to strengthen our own knowledge on our subject
matter and in Biblical Learning.
If we learn the truth and present it coherently eventually we will be heard.
In the past we were younger.
The realization of Brit-Am identity truth was still fresh. We knew less but were
more enthused and enthusiastic.
We now realize that ultimately the truth will win.
We should strive to learn the truth, internalize it, and promote it.
Discussions like the present one if
overdone may be a waste of time but when used judiciously they may enable us to
clarify matters that need clarifying.
2. Owen Murphy: Freckled Faces and the
Speckled Trees of Jacob
re The Scottish Tartan Cloak of Joseph
For what it is worth--a book by Christian Hesketh, titled Tartans,1961-Octopus
Books Ltd. 59 Grosvenor St. London W.I; has a lengthy history of the
Tartan-Quote "The word Tartan is derived from the French Tartaine, a name that
was given originally to a certain kind of material regardless of its color. It
was only at a later date when all Highland tartans grew to be chequered that it
acquired its more specialized modern meaning. The Gaelic word for tartan was
Brecan, meaning parti colored or speckled".
This brought to mind the history of Jacob and his service with Laban where
Jacob claims as his own all the live stock that were spotted and speckled, which
Laban tried to steal by separating them for himself and his sons. Then Jacob
places special rods of wood in the breeding area of the flocks and the stronger
ones reproduce spotted and speckled off spring for Jacob to claim.
One wonders if speckled is a different term for "freckled" which is a
distinction of the Irish/Scottish groups.
3. Proverbs 26 (New King James Version)
1 As snow in summer and rain in harvest,
So honor is not fitting for a fool.
2 Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow,
So a curse without cause shall not alight.
3 A whip for the horse,
A bridle for the donkey,
And a rod for the fool's back.
4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
Lest you also be like him.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly,
Lest he be wise in his own eyes.
6 He who sends a message by the hand of a fool
Cuts off his own feet and drinks violence.
7 Like the legs of the lame that hang limp
Is a proverb in the mouth of fools.
8 Like one who binds a stone in a sling
Is he who gives honor to a fool.
9 Like a thorn that goes into the hand of a drunkard
Is a proverb in the mouth of fools.
10 The great God who formed everything
Gives the fool his hire and the transgressor his wages.[a]
11 As a dog returns to his own vomit,
So a fool repeats his folly.
12 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes?
There is more hope for a fool than for him.
13 The lazy man says, "There is a lion in the road!
A fierce lion is in the streets!"
14 As a door turns on its hinges,
So does the lazy man on his bed.
15 The lazy man buries his hand in the bowl;[b]
It wearies him to bring it back to his mouth.
16 The lazy man is wiser in his own eyes
Than seven men who can answer sensibly.
17 He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own
Is like one who takes a dog by the ears.
18 Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death,
19 Is the man who deceives his neighbor,
And says, 'I was only joking!'
20 Where there is no wood, the fire goes out;
And where there is no talebearer, strife ceases.
21 As charcoal is to burning coals, and wood to fire,
So is a contentious man to kindle strife.
22 The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles,
And they go down into the inmost body.
23 Fervent lips with a wicked heart
Are like earthenware covered with silver dross.
24 He who hates, disguises it with his lips,
And lays up deceit within himself;
25 When he speaks kindly, do not believe him,
For there are seven abominations in his heart;
26 Though his hatred is covered by deceit,
His wickedness will be revealed before the assembly.
27 Whoever digs a pit will fall into it,
And he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him.
28 A lying tongue hates those who are crushed by it,
And a flattering mouth works ruin.
