1. Contributions and Orders
Some people send us orders for publications, others send us contributions.
We need both.
If you send money and intend it as an order for books please say so,
e.g. You may send $50 for both Ephraim and Biblical Truth so together with
the check for $50
please insert a piece of paper with "Ephraim and Biblical Truth" written on
it. That should be sufficient.
We are also in need of offerings, please try to send what you can.

2. B. Paul Blegen: The Crusades and Isaac Newton
Extracts from "Tribesman Remnanter Report" (B. Paul Blegen ) :
"Remember, this war  started as a Crusade (the word was used by Bush). A
crusade is a Christian war against Muslims"
"[Sir Isaac] Newton believed we [i.e. British peoples] were the descendants
of Israel and was keenly interested in  prophecy"

3. Some famous Believers in Israelite ANCESTRY
Rashi: Rabbi Shlomoh Yitschaki: Foremost and most revered Rabbinical
Commentator
Sir Isaac Newton (mentioned above)
Orde Wingate: soldier, tactician, contributed to foundation of Israeli
Defence Forces and to victory of allies over Italians and Japanese in WW11.
Colonel John Henry Patterson: Commander of Jewish legion in WWI and
confidante of Zionist leader Zeev Jabotinsky
Billy Hughes: PM of Australia, very important in Australian history.
Israel Zangwill: Famous Jewish writer.
Gildas: First Celtic British historian
The Venerable Bede: Anglo-Saxon historian
Lord Fisher: British Head of Admiralty in WW1.
Rudyard Kipling
Queen Victoria
King Edward vii
John Sadler: English Parliamentarian and friend of Oliver Cromwell and
Rabbi Menasseh ben Israel.
In addition many others made statements referring to the British peoples as
"Israel" or placing the British peoples in the role of Israel but it is
uncertain whether they intended this term to apply in the physical sense or
only the spiritual one: e.g. King Richard I, Queen Elizabeth I, Oliver
Cromwell, Disraeli, Churchill,

4. Machir firstborn son of Manasseh
From: mine o rutherford
Subject: machir
in my strongs concordance hebrew-araimic dictionary it has word
that i think is interesting. meraka, one of the definitions is appointed
place.

Answer:
Brit-Am has explained how the name "Machir" was the origin of the name
"America". Names in Hebrew reflect the essence of what is named
so this name has significance. First of all Machir was the firstborn son of
Manasseh and this reflects the fact that the USA is dominated by
descendants of the Israelite son of Manasseh son of Joseph.
"Machir" in Hebrew (root MCR) can connote the Principle of Capitalism. The
word is also linked to "selling" "merchant", "native land", "source"
"mining" (micrah).
The source of the word probably connotes "source" and from this we get
"micrah" meaning mine where ores are extracted from their source
and "Mecorah" or  "native-land" or "land-of-the-source". Similarly the
ownership of something is its source, i.e. ownership is connected to
"source" and when we sell something we exchange ownership, we exchange the
source, and so we have "selling" i.e. "Macir" (Machir)
and the Principle of Capitalism that can be represented in Hebrew by the
verbal form "Machir".
These are largely ideas of my own but if I look at some etymological
dictionaries and commentaries I may be able to develop this thread further.

5. Humor: Yaakov Fogelman: Computer Gender
From: top-yaakov fogelman <top@actcom.co.il>
Subject: Parashas B'haaloscha, shorter study, 2003
<<UK Mill Hill Rav Yitzchak Schochet told the tale of a language
instructor, who explained to her class that, in French, as in Hebrew, nouns
are grammatically designated as masculine and feminine- house is feminine,
une maison, and pencil is masculine, un crayon. A puzzled student asked:
"What gender is computer?" The teacher did not know, so she split the class
into men and women, and asked each group to decide. The men decided upon
feminine gender, for: 1. No one but their creator understands their
internal logic. 2. the native language they use to communicate with other
computers is incomprehensible to everyone else. 3. Even the smallest
mistakes are stored in long term memory, for possible later retrieval. 4.
As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half
your salary on accessories for it. But the women's group thought
"computers" should be masculine, for: 1. You talk to them, but they never
respond. 2. They have a lot of data, but are still clueless. 3. They are
supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they are the
problem. 4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that, had you waited
a little longer, you could have gotten a better model. >>
<<I trust that no sane person, including myself, will take this seriously
or worry that it is "sexist". But there is a rabbinic tradition to
intersperse wit amidst their discourses; Rav Schochet notes that AT THE
HEIGHT OF LAUGHTER, THE UNIVERSE IS FLUNG INTO A KALIDOSCOPE OF NEW
POSSIBILITIES. When we have the ability to laugh at ourselves, as well as
the world around us, then, in the presence of humor, new creative
perspectives naturally occur. He usually inserts a joke or story into his
sermons, as people don't feel comfortable coming to their houses of
worship, only to be made to feel small, and have their conscience beaten to
a pulp. He maintains that while the occasional fire and brimstone sermon
does not go amiss, it is important to allow people to feel good about
themselves- albeit understanding there is always room for improvement,
recognizing the need for constant growth and development. He uses humor to
make people laugh, then being able to inspire them through the essence of
the message. He sums up: "He who laughs, lasts!" (LJN, 5/10/02).>>Yaakov

6. Brit-Am
"And I will make of you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your
name great.
And you shall be a blessing.
"And I will bless they who bless you, and curse him who curses you.
And in you shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
(Gensis 12;2-3).

The Principles of Brit-Am require:
1. Acceptance of Prophecy.
2. Self-Respect: no hatred of fellow Israelite groups, no antisemitism.
3. Acknowledgement of The Israelite Identity of many people amongst
Western Nations.
4. recognition of  "Captive Jews" meaning Israelite or Jewish descendants
who lost their identity and emerged from amongst dominantly non-Israelite
peoples. The destiny of these "Captive Jews" is bound up with that of  the
Lost Ten Tribes even though the Lost Ten Tribes retained some degree of
communal cohesion, and they did not.

The aims of Brit-Am  are to encourage:
1. The spread of Identity Awareness.
2. Increased Identity research and clarification.
3. Association of members together for the sake of  mutual-empowerment,
learning and fellowship.
This can be done through membership of the e-mail list as well as in other ways.

The giving of donations
together with the ordering of publications enables
Brit-Am to function.

7. Biblical Proof: Isles of the Sea-1

ISLES OF THE SEA-1

The Bible describes Ephraim as the "Firstborn" and also
connects him with "the ISLES":

"I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn. Hear the word of
the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the ISLES afar off, and say, He
that scattered Israel will gather him and keep him, as a shepherd doth his
flock" (Jeremiah 31; 9-10).

Similarly, Isaiah connects Israel with Isles in the same
passage of Isaiah that speaks of the Brit-Am Covenant of the people and is
connected with colonialism and the settlement of North America and Australia.

"Listen 0 ISLES unto me. Thou art my servant, O Israel, in
whom I will be glorified..to bring Jacob again unto him..to raise up the
tribes of Jacob...a covenant of the people [in Hebrew: "Brit-am"] to
establish the earth, ..to inherit the desolate heritages..these from the
north and the west; and these from the land of Sinim". (Isaiah -49;1 6)

Other Biblical references also appear to indicate that the
Lost Tribes (or part of them) are in the "Isles": "The name of the Lord God
of Israel in the ISLES of the sea" (Isaiah 24;15).

"The ISLES shall wait for his law" (Isaiah 42;4).

"Hearken unto me, MY PEOPLE...O my nation...mine arms shall judge the
people, the ISLES shall wait upon me" (Isaiah 51;4 5).

"Surely the ISLES shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to
bring thy sons from far" (Isaiah 60;9).

Isaiah 11:11 in the Hebrew also mentions the Isles of the Sea

[Isaiah 11:11] IN THAT DAY THE LORD WILL EXTEND HIS HAND YET A SECOND TIME
TO RECOVER THE REMNANT WHICH IS LEFT OF HIS PEOPLE, FROM ASSYRIA, FROM
EGYPT, FROM PATHROS, FROM ETHIOPIA [Cush], FROM ELAM, FROM SHINAR, FROM
HAMATH, AND FROM THE COASTLANDS [Hebrew: Eyi= Islands] OF THE SEA.

These are the exiles of Judah and Israel: The places spoken of are areas to
which exiles were taken and from there went elsewhere. They are not
necessarily places from which the exiles will return.

ASSYRIA the Lost Ten Tribes who were exiled by Assyria. Some equate Assyria
WITH GERMANY.

EGYPT in Hebrew Mitsrayim. Some of the Lost Tribes were exiled via Egypt
and so too were many of the Jews. The Celts of Britain and Ireland had
early contacts with Egypt. Egypt (Mitsraimin Hebrew)  in some contexts can
also equal Russia.

PATHROS a place in Egypt though some a place on the Turkish border.

ETHIOPIA in Hebrew "Cush". Cush could mean Africa in general, Sudan,
Ethiopia, Afghanistan, India, Central Asia. In connection with the Lost Ten
tribes we believe in most cases that Cush applies to Central Asia. This was
referred to as India in Dutch Frisian sources and was the area they said
their ancestors went to after leaving Israel and before moving to the west.

Cush was equated with Ethiopia. Homer spoke of an Ethiopia in the east and
another far to the west.

F. de Rougemont, "L'Age du Bronze," (Paris 1866), pointed out that in North
African Berber dialects Ethiopiacan mean People of Joppa. Joppa is Jaffa in
southern Israel that was bequeathed to Dan but conquered by Ephraim from
the Canaanites. According to their own traditions many of the Berbers of
North Africa descended from Canaanites who had been expelled by the
Israelites. The Phoenicians and several Arab groups originally spoke a
Berber-type language. The Israelites, Phoenicians, and North Africans all
had links with Ireland.

ELAM an area in southwest Persia. Elam was once an important country. The
bulk of the Ancient Persians were probably of Elamite origin. Elamite was
the most common spoken language amongst the Persians. Archeological
findings reveal a connection between Elam and the Sacae of Central Asia who
became the Anglo-Saxons. Elam was descended from Sem.

Craig White and others  trace people of Yugoslavia to Elam.

SHINAR meaning Babylon but also applied to the northern shores of the Black
Sea. Babylon was an important dispersion point for the Jews of Judah.

<<HAMATH>>: Daphne of Antiocheawas a suburd of Hamath and it was connected
with the Lost ten Tribes. An Irish tradition says that their ancestors and
those of the British Celtswere taken as slaves by Phoenician agents of the
Assyrian based in Hamath to Spain and from there they moved to the British
Isles. This accords with historical and archaeological findings.

BIBLICAL LANGUAGE: It is important to remember that the Prophets spoke in
their langiage according to terms familiar to them. They spoke the truth.
The names given by the Prophets to different places in connection with
future events may be the same places that had those names at that time; OR
they may be different places to which descendants of the same people moved;
OR they may have had names that sounded similar to the names the Prophets
employed, e.g. Hamathwas an important city in northern Syria, but you also
had Ecbatana(the capitsal of Media) known as Hamadan and according to Daat
Mikra also referred to in the Bible as Hamath.

COASTLANDS OF THE SEA: in Hebrew Iyai HaYam or Isles of the Sea and
referring to the British Isles.
The connection we have made between Isaiah 11:11 and the Lost Ten Tribes
appears to be confirmed by the Zohar (VaYechi) as we explained in our work
"Ephraim".

[Isaiah 11:12] HE WILL RAISE AN ENSIGN FOR THE NATIONS, AND WILL ASSEMBLE
THE OUTCASTS OF ISRAEL, AND GATHER THE DISPERSED OF JUDAH FROM THE FOUR
CORNERS OF THE EARTH.

OUTCASTS OF ISRAEL, = The Lost Ten Tribes who will be found gathered
together in specific areas.
THE DISPERSED OF JUDAH i.e. the Jews who are scattered all over the world.

[Isaiah 11:13] THE JEALOUSY OF EPHRAIM SHALL DEPART, AND THOSE WHO HARASS JUDAH SHALL BE CUT OFF;
EPHRAIM SHALL NOT BE JEALOUS OF JUDAH, AND JUDAH SHALL NOT HARASS EPHRAIM.
