1. Question: Are the so-called 'Palestinians' descended from the Philistines?

Answer:
Physically we doubt that the Palestinians' descended from the Philistines.
Some of those around Gaza etc may be of Philistine descent.
Abrabanel recalled a tradition that the Philistines gave rise to the Venetians and Genoans
in Italy.
There were linguistic and anthropological links between the Philistines and peoples on the east Adriatic Coast
(Slovenia, Coratia, Bosnia, Albania).
The Palestinians are a mixture of many peoples with much Arabic and Canaanite blood with remnants of Edom and Amalik. A good portion of the Palestinians actually only entered "Palestine" in relatively recent times
about the same time as the Jews began their "Zionist" return.
This is described in detail by Joan peters in "From Time Immemorial".
Nevertheless the name "Palestine" is a Latinised version of "Philistia".
The Palestinian people call themselves after the Philistines and define themselves
as Philistines. It may be that in Biblical terminology the Prophets would use the term
"Philistine" when referring to the Palestinians.
This is how we have interpreted the term.
Ephraim and Judah will co-operate in a joint venture to fly the Philistine-Palestinians out of the
Land of Israel to some place in the West, maybe to South America?

(b) HEBREW ORIGINS OF THE ENGLISH PEOPLE PROVEN FROM THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Dear Yair,
It is interesting you have included the article below on the Hebrew origin
of the English language. I have only just discovered that my Grandmother's
middle name of 'Noye', which was her great, great, grandmother's maiden name
is a Welsh or Ashkanarzi name meaning 'Noah' in English. The coat of arms is
blue and white with a white dove holding an olive branch. The motto is "A
Message of Peace". The other Welsh family name is 'Williams' and has a
gold lion on a black shield. That motto is "Cywir in Gwlad" meaning "By
following the truth". On my mothers side there is Welsh and Scottish.
Anyway to get to the point I looked up the "World Book" Enclypeadia to find
out a bit more about Wales and under 'Language' it said this.
"Welsh is a form of the ancient Celtic language and has been influenced by
each group of invaders. The letters j, k, q, v, x, and z are not used in
Welsh, and the letters w and y are sometimes used as vowels. Many Welsh
words have a double l or a double d. The ll is pronounced like the thl in
athletics. The dd is pronounced like the th in this".
This looks very similar to Hebrew to me. (I am teaching myself Hebrew).
I know the j is replaced with Y in Hebrew.

Torah, as far as Orthodox Judaism is concerned, is not "Divinely
inspired," but rather Divinely or G-d given...
The way in which man conducts himself sexually, to use a
Christian term, has a "sacramental" or pivital impact upon the
entire created world. What one does sexually, especially among
the leadership, will directly affect his/her social and political
views and policy. If ones sexual conduct is inverted, then ones
political and social views will also be inverted when measured
against Torah law. This is why some of the most rabid Jew
haters in history have been sexually corrupt, and why Islam
generally is so predisposed to sadism and violence.
To be sure, God's Torah is a guide to the sanctification of
not only human sexuality, but of all life. To this end, marriage
is the sanctification of human sexuality and it's elevation to
a higher or more holy purpose, that of life and revealing
G-dliness into the time/space dimension. In sexual terms,
the homoerotic act, or sodomy, is considered an
"abomination," just as men and women wearing
the clothing of the other is also defined as and
considered an "abomination." Why? Because
it is a desecration of both G-d's natural and
spiritual orders of creation which recognizes
the separation of species and gender as
intrinsic to a healthy and properly
functioning world.
Neither the covert nor overt effects of
sodomy change over time, therefore, neither does G-d's law or
objective injunction in reference to sodomy change over the
same time to accommodate conventional whims or backsliding.
As Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch states, whereas (organized)
religion is what man has to say about G-d, Torah is what G-d has to
say about man. So, to remain faithful to G-d, man must strive to discern
what G-d is saying through every available measure, rather than seeking
self-justification through a falsification of His word and true intent.

ahhh, yair! well, at least you don't hate me. right? ;-)
i do think that they are harmful in some ways. but i also think that SOME "conspiracies" do exist, and that it is harmful to not see them, such as the Holocaust of Europe this century. i think it's most harmful when people end up focusing on evil so much that it controls their minds and puts them in FEAR mode.
i think that you and I can both agree that we must focus on scripture and keep our minds fixed on the Word.

It could be that as far as control goes it does not mean anything.
Historically US companies invested in Germany before the second World War
and had established factories there. These concerns remained technically the property
of the US companies during the war but they produced war goods to be used against
US soldiers and US authorities had no say whatsoever in the matter.
This could be the same. It could simply mean the US is receiving another welcome shot of foreign investment.
OR it could be something worse.
It could mean another downward step in the ongoing process by which Manasseh of America is losing control of its own destiny.
The Blessings were given only to Israel.
This is the line of blessing:
Only Isaac the son of Abraham would inherit the covenant of Abraham (Genesis 17:19, 21:12).
This did not apply to Ishmael. Ishmael represents the Arabs and they should have no part with us:
God Himself said he would bless Ishmael (Genesis 17:20) but EXCLUDE him from the Covenant with Isaac:

Isaac fathered twins, Esau and Jacob (25:24). Esau was the older. Rebecca had been told that the elder would serve the younger (25:23). Esau sold his birthright to Jacob (25:33). Jacob received the blessing of the firstborn from his father Isaac by pretending to be Esau (27:27).
Jacob was to receive the blessings of Abraham and to inherit the Land (28:4, 35:12).
Esau was not included. He had his own blessing and so did Ishmael BUT NEITHER WAS TO SHARE
WITH JACOB.
Joseph received the rights of the first-born (49:26 cf. 1-Chronicles 5:1) and these were passed onto Ephraim who would be greater than Manasseh. The other tribes however in this case WERE TO PARTICIPATE in the blessings and EACH TRIBE had its own unique destined inheritance as mentioned in Genesis 46, Deuteronomy 33 and elsewhere.
The blessing of the firstborn that was passed to Joseph especially applies to the blessings concerning the gates of your enemies.

The stronger Israelites are the better for the world.
Other peoples may be blessed through the blessings of Israel
but Israelites are forbidden to surrender their heritage.

The name probably has a more prosaic origin. Nevertheless
the name was given for a purpose known to Divine Providence
and we often find that the name reflects Tribal origin.
This is despite the fact that
strictly speaking the name may have been of more recent origin
and have had an entirely different connotation.
