1. Ephraimite or "Ephrathi"
"Brit-Am Now"-554
item 2. Ephraim and Ephrathi?
it was pointed out that the term Ephrathi could be applied (as pointed out by Litkah ben Joseph)
in the Bible both to someone such as King Jeroboam "who was an Ephraimite, is actually referred to in the Hebrew as an Ephrathite in 1 Kings. Most sources I go to claim that this word is interchangeable with Ephraimite and means the same things" and also to "Jesse, David's father, who was of the tribe of Judah, [who] is ALSO callled an Ephrathite, from Bethlehem Ephratah."

First of all How is this word "Ephrati" pronounced anyway?
Modern Hebrew and Sephardic Hebrew pronounce it as: "Ephrati"
{In Hebrew the same letter is used for both the "F" and "P" sounds son an Anglisized version could conceivably say: "Eprati""].
Traditional Ashkenazic (European) Hebrew would have: "Ephrosi".
Yemenite Hebrew would have "Ephrothi" with the "th" sound sometimes close to an "s" sound as in Ashkenazic Hebrew.
Biblical Hebrew was probably close to Yemenite Hebrew.
Whoever taught the English Translators of the Bible Hebrew would have had: "Ephrathi" which is close to the Yemenite version and could be an interesting subject to look in to.
At all events Modern Hebrew says: "Ephrati"

This word means both "Ephraimite" and Someone from Ephrat which was the region of Bethlehem in Judah.
Concerning Ephrat of Judah
In the KJ Bible it says:
[Ruth 1:2] AND THE NAME OF THE MAN WAS ELIMELECH, AND THE NAME OF HIS WIFE NAOMI, AND THE NAME OF HIS TWO SONS MAHLON AND CHILION, EPHRATHITES OF BETHLEHEMJUDAH. AND THEY CAME INTO THE COUNTRY OF MOAB, AND CONTINUED THERE.

[1-Samuel 17:12] NOW DAVID WAS THE SON OF THAT EPHRATHITE OF BETHLEHEM-JUDAH, WHOSE NAME WAS JESSE; AND HE HAD EIGHT SONS: AND THE MAN WENT AMONG MEN FOR AN OLD MAN IN THE DAYS OF SAUL.

Concerning someone from Ephraim:
[1-Samuel 1:1] NOW THERE WAS A CERTAIN MAN OF RAMATHAIMZOPHIM, OF MOUNT EPHRAIM, AND HIS NAME WAS ELKANAH, THE SON OF JEROHAM, THE SON OF ELIHU, THE SON OF TOHU, THE SON OF ZUPH, AN EPHRATHITE:

[Judges 12:5] AND THE GILEADITES TOOK THE PASSAGES OF JORDAN BEFORE THE EPHRAIMITES: AND IT WAS SO, THAT WHEN THOSE EPHRAIMITES WHICH WERE ESCAPED SAID, LET ME GO OVER; THAT THE MEN OF GILEAD SAID UNTO HIM, ART THOU AN EPHRAIMITE? IF HE SAID, NAY
"BEFORE THE EPHRAIMITES": In Hebrew "La-Ephraim" meaning here "Before Ephraim" not before the "Ephraimites".
There is no word "Ephraimite" in the Bible only "Ephrati" which means "Ephramite" and is the only Biblical word that has this meaning.

[1-Kings 11:26] AND JEROBOAM THE SON OF NEBAT, AN EPHRATHITE OF ZEREDA, SOLOMON'S SERVANT, WHOSE MOTHER'S NAME WAS ZERUAH, A WIDOW WOMAN, EVEN HE LIFTED UP HIS HAND AGAINST THE KING.

Anyway, recently the term "Ephraimite" has become popular. People in the West (especially the USA) who believe they descend from the Lost Ten Tribes often call themselves "Ephraimites".
This term is probably as good as, or better than, any other and those who use it identify with it. At all events they should be aware that the term is not Biblical.

Regarding the Biblical term "Ephrati" it is interesting to note that though historically the Ephramities were not faithful to the House of David the appellation "Ephrati" could conceivably be used to connote someone who either comes from Ephraim or who is faithful to the House of David from Bethlehem in Efrat, or both.
Brit-Am would like to see both applications being pertinent. This is what the Bible requires:

[Ezekiel 34:23] AND I WILL SET UP ONE SHEPHERD OVER THEM, AND HE SHALL FEED THEM, EVEN MY SERVANT DAVID; HE SHALL FEED THEM, AND HE SHALL BE THEIR SHEPHERD.

[Ezekiel 37:21] AND SAY UNTO THEM, THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD; BEHOLD, I WILL TAKE THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL FROM AMONG THE HEATHEN, WHITHER THEY BE GONE, AND WILL GATHER THEM ON EVERY SIDE, AND BRING THEM INTO THEIR OWN LAND:

[Ezekiel 37:22] AND I WILL MAKE THEM ONE NATION IN THE LAND UPON THE MOUNTAINS OF ISRAEL; AND ONE KING SHALL BE KING TO THEM ALL: AND THEY SHALL BE NO MORE TWO NATIONS, NEITHER SHALL THEY BE DIVIDED INTO TWO KINGDOMS ANY MORE AT ALL.

[Ezekiel 37:23] NEITHER SHALL THEY DEFILE THEMSELVES ANY MORE WITH THEIR IDOLS, NOR WITH THEIR DETESTABLE THINGS, NOR WITH ANY OF THEIR TRANSGRESSIONS: BUT I WILL SAVE THEM OUT OF ALL THEIR DWELLINGPLACES, WHEREIN THEY HAVE SINNED, AND WILL CLEANSE THEM: SO SHALL THEY BE MY PEOPLE, AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD.

[Ezekiel 37:24] AND DAVID MY SERVANT SHALL BE KING OVER THEM; AND THEY ALL SHALL HAVE ONE SHEPHERD: THEY SHALL ALSO WALK IN MY JUDGMENTS, AND OBSERVE MY STATUTES, AND DO THEM.

[Ezekiel 37:25] AND THEY SHALL DWELL IN THE LAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UNTO JACOB MY SERVANT, WHEREIN YOUR FATHERS HAVE DWELT; AND THEY SHALL DWELL THEREIN, EVEN THEY, AND THEIR CHILDREN, AND THEIR CHILDREN'S CHILDREN FOR EVER: AND MY SERVANT DAVID SHALL BE THEIR PRINCE FOR EVER.

Jeremiah 33;22 "AS THE HOST OF HEAVEN CANNOT BE NUMBERED, NEITHER THE SAND OF THE SEA MEASURED: SO WILL I MULTIPLY THE SEED OF DAVID MY SERVANT, AND THE LEVITES THAT MINISTER UNTO ME.....

2. Steve Collins: Joseph's Return
From: Steve Collins
I've read with interest the comments posted on the subject of Joseph's (and all the ten tribes') return to the Promised Land. This email is to add a few comments of my own.
Ezekiel 37's "Two Sticks" prophecy makes it clear that the reunion of the tribes of Israel under one ruler will not occur until the start of the Messianic Age. Ezekiel 48 prophesies that all the tribes will be present and have an inheritance in the Promised Land in the Messianic Age; however, an interesting fact becomes clear. The prophesied tribal allotments will be different than they were in biblical times. All tribes will then have allotments of land which will all extend from "the east side to the west side" of the Promised Land, so the tribal allotments will take the shape of a ladder which will have horizontal "steps" dividing the tribal allotments. The size of each tribe's allotment is not specified. This is a very different arrangement than the tribal allotments given to the tribes in biblical times.
While Ezekiel 48 prophesies all tribes will have a presence in the Promised Land in the Messianic Age, it does not state that all Israelites will return to the Promised Land. It appears to me that each tribe will have a homeland in the Promised Land for a contingent of its tribe's members, but many of their members will remain in lands far from the Promised Land. This would be consistent with the Abrahamic Covenant's blessings, biblical prophecies and the precedents of history.
Abraham's descendants were to constitute many nations (Genesis 17:5) and were to become more numerous than could be counted (Genesis 13:16, 26:4 and reaffirmed for the post-exilic period in Hosea 1:10-11). This precludes the possibility that all of Abraham's birthright descendants (the Israelite tribes) could fit into the small space of the ancient Holy Land. Even if the borders of Israel's tribes in the Messianic Age extend "east to west" from the boundaries prophesied for Abraham's seed in Genesis 15:18, there is not enough room for all the Israelites.
The Abrahamic Covenant also prophesied Abraham's descendants would spread abroad in all four directions to other locations on the earth (Genesis 28:14). This should especially be true of the birthright descendants (the tribes of Joseph), and this was fulfilled in biblical times and again in the post-exilic, modern period. Even during the time of the Judges, the tribe of Dan had adopted a maritime lifestyle traveling to other lands (Judges 5:17) and both your books and mine have documented that Dan and other Israelite tribes were involved in colonizing other Mediterranean locations in the time of the Sea Peoples (which paralleled the time of the Judges). In the glory days of Kings David and Solomon, the Israelites merged their navies with that of Tyre and Sidon (I Kings 9:26-27 and II Chron. 8:18, 9:21) and their resultant "Phoenician" alliance explored and colonized not only the Mediterranean world but also the British Isles, the coastlands of Europe, Africa and even North America (as much new evidence has confirmed). This historical precedent shows that even in the biblical times when all tribes had homelands in the Promised Land, many of their members migrated to other continents and founded new homelands elsewhere. It hardly seems possible that God's promise of vast population growth and great territorial blessings could be accommodated in just the small territory of the ancient Promised Land.
In King David's time, the prophet Nathan offered a prophecy which is little noticed.
In II Samuel 7:10, God prophesied via Nathan that "I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and I will plant them that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more." (Emphasis added.) This is interesting as Israel's tribes were already living in the Promised Land, a place appointed for them under the terms of the Covenant made with God via Moses. In spite of this fact, God prophesied he would in the future move "Israel" to a new appointed place and that Israel would "move no more" once it was there. It is my view that when Israel's tribes were expelled from the Promised Land given to them under the terms of the covenant with Moses, God later guided their migrations to move them to the locations he had in mind when he gave his prophecy via Nathan about Israel's future locations. History has shown these places to be the continents of Europe, North America, Australia plus Scandinavia, a part of South Africa, New Zealand, etc.
Genesis 49's prophecy about the tribes in the latter days gives more information about Israel's future lands unnamed in Nathan's prophecy, but
Genesis 49's prophecy reveals that God had specific places in mind for the Israelite tribes long before Jacob was even born! You, I and others have noted that Zebulon's prophesied territory in the latter days (Gen. 49) clearly fits the land of the Netherlands, for example. Ephraim and Manasseh were to be tribes which are likened to vines located by the water (i.e. they would be located on seacoasts and would spread abroad to other locations far from their homelands, as does a vine). Judah' inheritance seems uniquely linked to the Holy Land though as Zephaniah 2 accurately foretold that Judah would reestablish a nation in the former Promised Land in the latter day period, and the prophecy about latter-day Judah in Genesis 49 has been fulfilled by the Jewish/Israeli nation in the former Holy Land.
For the above reasons, I believe biblical prophecy and historical/biblical precedent indicate that while all tribes will have a physical presence in new tribal allotments in the Promised Land in the Messianic Age, not all Israelites will return to the Promised Land. The prophecy given to Nathan stated that "Israel" [note this prophecy mentions "Israel" but not "Judah"] would be relocated to new homelands outside the promised Land in the future and that they would not be moved again. This indicates to me that the tribes of modern Israel will also inhabit in the Messianic Age the same regions that they dwell in today. Judah's destiny, however, seems destined to be geographically linked to the biblical Promised Land.
Best wishes,
Steve

5. Proverbs 2:7-8
[Proverbs 2:7] HE LAYETH UP SOUND WISDOM FOR THE RIGHTEOUS: HE IS A BUCKLER TO THEM THAT WALK UPRIGHTLY.
"WISDOM" The Hebrew word for "wisdom" is "Chockmah". Here the word used is "Toshiah" which means "enterprise" and "initiative, resourcefulness". God gives to those who are upright the wherewithal to do what must be done.
"BUCKLER": Hebrew "magan" meaning "protection, shield". God protects us both indirectly through His Divine Providence and also by enabling us to be in contact with our inner instincts that guide us through life.

[Proverbs 2:8] HE KEEPETH THE PATHS OF JUDGMENT, AND PRESERVETH THE WAY OF HIS SAINTS.
"THE WAY": Hebrew "orchot" meaning "pathways" or "patterns of behavior". If we try to do what is right God will teach us how to go about it and will look after us even if we make mistaken decisions.

DID YOU KNOW THAT:
According to the Bible ten out of the twelve tribes of Israel split away(1-Kings 12:19), formed their own kingdom of "Israel" (1-Kings 12:20) and were exiled by the Assyrians (2-Kings 17:18) . They forget their identity (Hosea 1:9 7:8 Isaiah 49:21) and became the Lost Ten Tribes. In the future they will re-unite with the Jews of "Judah" (Ezekiel 37, Isaiah 11:13 Jeremiah 3:18) but until then they have a role of their own to fulfill. They were destined to be situated at the continental extremities of the earth such as North America, the British Isles, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa (Deuteronomy 33:13 Isaiah 24:16 26:15 41:8-9 49:6), to be the richest (Genesis 27:28 49:25 Deuteronomy 33:13-16 Hosea 2:8), and most powerful nations on earth (Numbers 24:8-7 Micah 5:7-9) and to control major international strategic bases (Genesis 22:16-17 24:60). All of these points together with numerous others show that descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes can only be found amongst Western Nations especially the English-speaking ones. The correctness of our interpretation of the relevant verses is confirmed by traditional Jewish sources and by the findings of up-to-date historical and scientific research. Your destiny may depend upon this information. You need to know.

The three Rs of Brit-Am:
a. Research: Proving where descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes are today.
b. Revelation: Revealing Research findings to others especially to those who are identifiable as "Lost Israelites" and to the Jews of "Judah".
c. Reconciliation: Working for the Recognition that the Lost Tribes and Judah have a mutual destiny and common origin and interest and therefore need to accept Israelite identification and the unique role of each other.
