1. Biblical Proofs in Poetry
Ends of the Earth
http://britam.org/Proof/geo/geoEnds.html
Background:
The Bible says the Lost Ten Tribes will be at the ends of the Earth
 Isaiah 24:16, 26:15, 41:8-9 43:6 49:6
The Land of Israel is considered the Center of the World,
See Ezekiel  38:12 where Israel is described as "IN THE MIDST OF THE LAND" in the Hebrew "Tabor Ha-
Aretz" meaning the navel (central-point) of the earth.
Ends of the Earth connote Continental Extremities. Most areas that we identify as having become places of concentration for descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes are the Ends of the Earth, e.g. Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, North America, Ireland, Britain ,
Scandinavina, the European coastline, etc.
It is not enough that they just be at the geographical extremities. They must also fulfill ALL THE OTHER Criteria that Scripture enumerates.
Ends of the earth are associated with the Lost Ten Tribes as well as:
Joseph, agricultural and world power blessings, unicorn, the bull symbol: Deuteronomy 33: 13-17.
A light to the Gentiles: Isaiah 49:6.
The best places on earth: Isaiah 41;8-9

http://britam.org/Proof/geo/geoBestEnds.html
We emphasize that this proof (like all others) is NOT enough in itself but rather must be seen and judged in the context of all the other proofs presented as one coherent complementary body of  interwoven evidence.

Poem:
Scripture tells us clearly
The Ends of the Earth
Where the Tribes are really.
For all its Biblical worth.
Jerusalem is the center
North America an Atlantic Berth
Guarding all ways to enter
Sea Lanes and Landward Edges.
The British Isles and the rest
Border of Europe hedges.
Climes and locales of the very best
You may put it to the test.

France, Holland, and Scania-Thule
Describe a line around the rim
Merry England of John Bull
Over Gentiles did they rule.
Continental borders they trim.
Located on the very brim.

Britain, Scotland, the unicorn
To all peoples a shining light
Breaking forth in early dawn
Against tyranny to fight.
Ireland lies out in the sea
Ulster on the northern hinge.
At the very global fringe
Playing out their destiny.

South African Anglos and Boers
Located on the Southern End
They dwell on distant shores
Where Africa and sea blend.

Australia and New Zealand
At the south and eastern angles
They are the Antipode band
In the Ocean where land dangles.

Only those from Brit-Am Places
Who meet all signs noted
Still retain ancestral Traces
Of Bible Patriarchs quoted.

There are other places
Sundry lands and races
Far out in the Ocean blue
At the furthest points
Ends of the Earth too
Sea and land make joints.
But these different folk
Like something of a joke
Lack the Ancestral Yoke.
They do not fit the criteria
Of Hebrews from Assyria.

2. Proverbs 6 (New King James Version)

 1 My son, if you become surety for your friend,
      If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,
       2 You are snared by the words of your mouth;
      You are taken by the words of your mouth.
       3 So do this, my son, and deliver yourself;
      For you have come into the hand of your friend:
      Go and humble yourself;
      Plead with your friend.
       4 Give no sleep to your eyes,
      Nor slumber to your eyelids.
       5 Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
      And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.[a]

    6 Go to the ant, you sluggard!
      Consider her ways and be wise,
       7 Which, having no captain,
      Overseer or ruler,
       8 Provides her supplies in the summer,
      And gathers her food in the harvest.
       9 How long will you slumber, O sluggard?
      When will you rise from your sleep?
       10 A little sleep, a little slumber,
      A little folding of the hands to sleep?
       11 So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler,
      And your need like an armed man.

    12 A worthless person, a wicked man,
      Walks with a perverse mouth;
       13 He winks with his eyes,
      He shuffles his feet,
      He points with his fingers;
       14 Perversity is in his heart,
      He devises evil continually,
      He sows discord.
       15 Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly;
      Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy.
       16 These six things the LORD hates,
      Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
       17 A proud look,
      A lying tongue,
      Hands that shed innocent blood,
       18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
      Feet that are swift in running to evil,
       19 A false witness who speaks lies,
      And one who sows discord among brethren.

    20 My son, keep your father's command,
      And do not forsake the law of your mother.
       21 Bind them continually upon your heart;
      Tie them around your neck.
       22 When you roam, they[b] will lead you;
      When you sleep, they will keep you;
      And when you awake, they will speak with you.
       23 For the commandment is a lamp,
      And the law a light;
      Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,
       24 To keep you from the evil woman,
      From the flattering tongue of a seductress.
       25 Do not lust after her beauty in your heart,
      Nor let her allure you with her eyelids.
       26 For by means of a harlot
      A man is reduced to a crust of bread;
      And an adulteress[c] will prey upon his precious life.
       27 Can a man take fire to his bosom,
      And his clothes not be burned?
       28 Can one walk on hot coals,
      And his feet not be seared?
       29 So is he who goes in to his neighbor's wife;
      Whoever touches her shall not be innocent.
       30 People do not despise a thief
      If he steals to satisfy himself when he is starving.
       31 Yet when he is found, he must restore sevenfold;
      He may have to give up all the substance of his house.
       32 Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding;
      He who does so destroys his own soul.
       33 Wounds and dishonor he will get,
      And his reproach will not be wiped away.
       34 For jealousy is a husband's fury;
      Therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
       35 He will accept no recompense,
      Nor will he be appeased though you give many gifts.

3. Military Characteristics and Identity
An interesting work that we have recently come across is:
"The Blitzkrieg Myth. How Hitler and the Allies Misread the Strategic Realities of World War II" by John Mosier, USA, 2003.
Amongst other matters this book contains remarks of interest concerning the military aptitude and idiosyncrasies of the French, Belgians, British, Americans, Russians, and Germans.

Extract p.287
##Even before the war there had been an English prejudice to the effect that the Germans were simply automatons, incapable of independent action, and that their officers were feudal relics unsuitable for modern warfare. Once the war began this idea quickly became an unchallenged -and unchallengeable assumption, as it has been ever since. But the idea is purely and simply mythical...

##The German army was, as we have noted, the least mechanized of the major armies. But it was the most mobile; not because of its vehicles but because of its brains. The Allies do not appear to have understood this at any point during the war.The Americans routinely criticized the British for what they saw as inordinate delays to refit and regroup. As our account of Market-Garden makes clear, there is some truth to this criticism. On the other hand there is a good deal of truth to the British criticism of the American tendency to rush headlong into battle without engaging in the sort of careful preparation that would minimize casualties; Bradley at Omaha Beach, Patton at Metz. The reality, however, is that neither army really grasped how quickly the Germans could put together offensives, how quickly they could reorganize a shattered position, and how effectively they could use the terrain over which they were forced to fight.
The author emphasizes that an appreciation of German military qualities cannot be divorced from the fact that on the whole their senior officers acquiesced in or actively supported the attempted extermination of the Jews and atrocities against other peoples.

Other works expand on this issue.
The German soldier man-for-man may have been a better fighter due to his superior training, the level of his leadership, and ideological motivation.
He did however have weaknesses on a relative scale such as not being so good at hand -to-hand combat and  fear (or at least avoidance of fighting in) the dark.

Many of the qualities under consideration are an outcome of training, tradition, social cohesion, etc.
They are not inherited qualities.
Nevertheless there may be some inherited aspect to them.

In the past we noted that different Israelite Tribes developed differing military specializations that may have emanated from their tribal characteristics.

See the Brit-Am Commentary to 1-Samuel 17-1 where an extract from our work "Lost Israelite Identity"
deals with this issue.
