On Tisha B'Av, Yair Borochov urges secular Jews to remember our first holocaust
Almost two thirds of Israelis, including half of seculars would like to see Temple rebuilt, believe it is important to commemorate Tisha B'Av .

About two thirds of the public want the Temple rebuilt, including about half of secular Israelis, a new survey conducted for Ynet and the Gesher organization revealed.

The survey was held by the Panels Institute among 516 respondents that are a representative sample of the adult Jewish population. The margin of error was 4.3%.

Initially, the respondents were asked what happened on Tisha B'Av (Ninth of Av), and showed impressive knowledge. Ninety-seven percent responded that the Temple was destroyed, while only 2% said they did not know.

The second question was whether respondents wanted to see the Temple rebuilt. Sixty-four percent responded favorably, while 36% said no. An analysis of the answers showed that not only the ultra-Orthodox and the religious look forward to the rebuilding of the Temple (100% and 97% respectively), but also the traditional public (91%) and many seculars  47%.

Subject: Chinese nanotechnology weapons - Google Search
Shalom Yair,

Thought I'd share an interesting fact with you. While doing a Google search on this topic, I found that my previous blogs on this subject are among the top links accessed on the worldwide web. That means others are getting exposed to the LTT concepts!

Brit-Am Comment:

We looked nanotechnology up on the web and as far as we can see what is meant by a nanotechnical attack involves either laser beams or some kind of DNA specific weaponry.

(a) Syria is drying up
If given the opportunity, Syria will ruin our main water source

Syria is experiencing an economic holocaust. There is no other way to describe what the Syrian regime is so much trying to hide. The country is drying up, and no less than 250,000 farmers were forced in the past three years to abandon their land and migrate to the large cities. They live in tents there, completely neglected by the regime.

The immense Euphrates River, Syria's main source of water, is drying up. The Turks are stopping its water in their territory, so that Syria and Iraq are receiving a declining portion of the water. Within about 10 years, the river is expected to dry up completely outside Turkish territory. Today already, it reaches Syria with contaminated water and therefore its fish, an important source of livelihood, is becoming extinct.

As result of the drought that had been plaguing Syria for several years now, another important Syrian water source, the Aasi (Orontes) River, is drying up as well. Its water is becoming saltier and increasingly contaminated, and its fish are dying off. And without fish, there is no livelihood. Entire villages fed by its waters for hundreds of years are simply being deserted.

Ground water in the country had reached such nadir that it is no longer possible to use the roughly 420,000 illegal wells dug by residents over the years. If there is no water, there is no agriculture; people proceed to leave the village and move to the city. As there is no work there either, the distress is terrible and political pressures builds up.

Many of the farmers leaving their villages are Kurd, which makes the problem an ethnic one. The Kurdish refugees accuse the regime of doing nothing for them. For several years now they have been living in thousands of tents near the big cities without being addressed.

Should Israel pay for Syrian failures?
It turns out that the ruling Baath party is at fault for everything. During the 1960s, the party decided to turn Syria into a grain-exporting state.
They viewed it as a victory of the Syrian agrarian revolution. For that reason, they forced the farmers to shift from herding, on semi-arid land, to growing grain. The regime turned a blind eye to the hundreds of thousands of  wells that were dug in order to water the grain. Any economist who dared to speak out against this policy was jailed.

Now, with the terrible drought, the grim results are overwhelming this land of 20 million people, half of them farmers. Instead of the 1.9 million tons of grains they expected to produce this year, the farmers managed to supply only 892,000 tons. Ruin in Syrian terms. The implication is that Syria is importing its grains today and has no money.

Extracts:

DAMASCUS, Syria, Aug. 7 (UPI) The drought that has kept Syria dry for three years has cost more than 800,000 people their livelihoods, Red Cross and Red Crescent officials said.

The International Federal of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies this week said about $300,000 had been set aside for immediate assistance for about 40,000 people in Syria in the most need.

Studies by international groups, including the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Society, said about 60,000 families have migrated from drought-affected areas, with most of the migrants leaving northeastern Syria, an area
considered the country's "breadbasket" because of its importance to agriculture.

Families are selling their belongings to buy food, and many children under the age of 3 are malnourished, a release by the Red Crescent society said.
Parents are pulling children from schools and putting them to work to provide income for families.

The drought, which began in 2008, came shortly after an even more severe drought the previous two years. Rainfall totals were 15 percent to 30 percent of average for most grain-producing areas in the 2008-09 growing season. This was after rainfall averaged less than 2 inches from September
2007 to April 2008.

"There is still enough food in Syria to go around," World Food Program spokesman Abdullah Mawazini told the United Nations' Integrated Regional Information Networks. "But we are worried about the provision of basic materials. It is a dangerous indicator for Syria that last year we had to
import wheat."

Agriculture output has fallen 50 percent since 2007 as many farmers have gone two years without crops, leading Syria last year to import wheat for the first time. Livestock owners with medium- to small-sized herds have lost 80 percent of their flocks because pasture and fodder aren't available, officials said.

With a high percent of agriculture in Syria carried out by subsistence farmers, families lost not only income but their primary source of food, IRIN said.

The migrants have been seeking refuge in Syria's cities, notably Damascus, Daraa, Hama and Aleppo. Resources in those locations were already stretched by the estimated 1 million refugees from neighboring Iraq, a situation that is creating "precarious living conditions."

Russian secret service helped
Hizballah bust Israeli spy rings in Lebanon

DEBKAfile Exclusive Report

05 Aug: Western intelligence sources in the Middle East disclose that a special unit of the Russian Federal Security Service - FBS - commissioned by Hizballah's special security apparatus earlier this year, was responsible for the massive discovery of alleged Israel spy rings in Lebanon in recent months with the help of its super-efficient detection systems.
This is the first time the Russian agency has engaged in anti-Israel activity in the service of an Arab terrorist organization, a turn of events described as grave by an Israeli security source especially when Moscow is deepening its strategic involvement in Syria.
Israel's massive clandestine infiltration of Lebanon began shortly after its 2006 Lebanese conflict when Hizballah, after sustaining heavy casualties, conscripted thousands of young Shiites without checking their backgrounds. Israel used the opportunity to recruit agents in large numbers.

5. Brit-Am Israel Report:
Murder of Homosexuals Hides Homosexual Crimes Against Youth

Background:

A black-garbed shooter with a face-mask sprayed a Tel Aviv homosexual youth club with gunfire Saturday night (1 August 2009), murdering two and wounding 15 other people before fleeing the scene. Police believe the weapon used in the attack was an M-16 assault rifle.
The location of the club was supposed to be a secret.
The assailant according to eye-witnesses showed a familiarity with the club as if he had visited it in the past.

Israeli PM Netanyahu denounces killer of gay youngsters in Tel Aviv, instructs policy minister for prompt action to bring him to book.
"As citizens of democracy ruled by law, we are bound to respect every human being."

Gay community plans protest rallies against outrage.

Ultra-religious Shas spokesman strongly condemned murders and called for maximum penalty for killer.

The Shas Party is a Religious Jewish political party some of whose MPs have criticized Homosexuals as sick and perverted.
For this reason certain media elements seem to have insinuated that the assailant may have been religious.

Brit-Am Comments:
(a) Seeking the Culprit
The identity of the assailant is still unknown. It could have been anyone.
We would suggest that the Police investigate the gay community itself. They are violent. In the USA gay crimes of violence against other gays are much much higher than those for the general population all other factors being equal.
Many gays resent other gays and the gay community in general.
Some homos worship violence and killing.
Many Nazis were and are homos.

(b) The True Crime
The hullabaloo over the incident has resulted in sympathetic media coverage and messages of sympathy from VIPs with apologetic signals from nearly anyone.
Nobody wants to be depicted as a supporter of violence.
Nevertheless, the fact remains:
The Club encouraged young people. The impression from Media reports is that ages in some cases may have been from the age of 14 and perhaps younger.
Most seem to have been about 16 with "Counsellors" (also Gay) being considerably older.
The children were encouraged to "come out of the closet" and practice their proclivities.
To our mind, apart from the religious considerations, social and physical realities would require that even heterosexual inclinations be downplayed at such a young age.
[How often would you want your daughter to be had by others and by how many?
Why tolerate in others what you do not want for yourselves?
According to reports homos once they have begun their course have numerous more experiences than heterosexuals.]

The Club in effect engaged in the open seduction of little children many of whom may have been passing through a phase of indecision (such as could happen to anyone) and if left alone may well have gotten over it and been able to lead normal lives.
The existence of such a club to our minds is the real scandal and we are surprised that no-one seems to have spoken about it.
Homosexuality is not just an alternate experience.
Homosexuality means debilitating weakness, sicknesses, AIDS, perversions,
physical impairments, cruelty, sadism, mental sickness, distorted emotions, frequent trauma, preying on the vulnerable, and death.

It is forbidden by the Bible.

[Leviticus 18:22] THOU SHALT NOT LIE WITH MANKIND, AS WITH WOMANKIND: IT IS ABOMINATION.

[Leviticus 20:13] IF A MAN ALSO LIE WITH MANKIND, AS HE
LIETH WITH A WOMAN, BOTH OF THEM HAVE  COMMITTED AN ABOMINATION: THEY SHALL SURELY BE PUT TO DEATH; THEIR BLOOD SHALL BE UPON THEM.
