1. Israel
Shamir
is really a Gentile Russian anti-Semite?
Brit-Am Preliminary Note:
Nowadays Brit-Am
concentrates on doing what it really has to and even that we do not always
manage.
In the past there were periods when we went on academic lists and political
forums and tried to persuade people
to beleive
in the Bible, to be less against the state of Israel and where pertinent we
would even speak about our >
own Lost Ten Tribes beliefs.
It was always a learning experience. We met all types of people.
Every now and again someone would throw the figure of Israel
Shamir
at us. Israel Shamir
was a rabid anti-Semite
who said horrible things about the Jewish Religion and about the State of Israel
and about the Jews in general.
He was presented as Jewish, living in Israel, and filling a post at the Tel Aviv
University.
This in the eyes of certain left-wingers and freethinkers made him "Kosher" i.e.
authoritative or at least worth of
referring to.
His sources seemed to be taken from Classical German anti-Semite writings such
as inspired the Nazis.
This has been pointed out by others.
It now transpires, according to the article below, that he is not Jewish but
really Russian.
[The article came to our attention from [shieldofdavid]
Digest Number 914] were additional information about
Shamir
is available]
Israeli writer is Swedish [actually
Russian] anti-Semite

A man who claims to be one of Israel's leading intellectuals is also a Swedish
antisemitic writer. Israel Shamir presents himself on his website as a leading
Russian-Israeli intellectual and a writer, translator and journalist. But in
2001 he changed his name to J?an Jermas and has surrounded himself in Sweden and
Norway with antisemites and strange conspiracy theorists.
Shamir also claims to have occupied a string of important positions as a
translator of classical works and to have worked as a journalist in several
heavyweight media institutions, including for the major Israeli paper, Haaretz.
However, when Monitor started investigating Shamir's past last year, it found no
evidence that Shamir had ever held these positions. His supposed job as Moscow
correspondent for Haaretz turned out to consist of just a few freelance
articles.
The Swedish Census Registry does give a few clues about Shamir and his
movements. It shows that his name was entered onto the Registry in October 1984
and he later obtained Swedish citizenship. According to the register he still
lives in Dalagatan, Stockholm, not in Jaffa, Israel, as he publicly claims.
Shamir?s first wife and two sons also live in Stockholm.
In July 1993, Shamir emigrated to Russia and later to Israel, where he married
again in July 1994. He and his new wife returned to Sweden in autumn 1998.
Shamir, who claims to be one of Israel's leading intellectuals, has concealed
the fact that he has lived in Sweden for a long time. Another strange fact is
that there are hardly any references to Shamir on the internet before 2001, the
same year in which he changed his name. This was a strange time to do this, just
as he was being noticed and had started to publish his works under the name of
Israel Shamir.
Shamir has found other, even more extreme friends in Sweden. One of his Swedish
translators, Lars Adelskog, is not only a leading figure in the Swedish UFO
movement but can also be found in the jungle of conspiracy theories where the
Illuminati, the Freemasons and lizards in human form are supposedly working
together to end civilisation as we know it.

2. Ex-Muslim Nonie
Darwish:
Muslim Hate for Jews Worse than Nazis'
by Aviva Woolf
Nonie Darwish, the founder of Arabs for Israel, says that the hatred the Muslims
have for Jews is even worse than the hatred the Nazis had for them. "It isn't a
societal thing, it's a religious thing," she explains. "It's intrinsic to their
lives because it isn't a human command to kill Jews, it's the word of Allah."
In an interview with Israel National News' Ari Abramowitz and Jeremy Gimpel, the
activist and author Darwish explains that it is Muslim teaching to kill
non-believers in Allah, and that adherents of any other monotheistic religion
must become second class citizens.
Daughter of top officer
Darwish is the daughter of a top Egyptian Army officer, Lt. General Mustafa
Hafez, who founded the Fedayeen in Gaza - a group that launched murderous raids
across Israel's southern border in the 1950's and was the precursor of the PLO.
In July 1956, when Nonie was eight years old, her father became the first
targeted assassination carried out by the Israeli Defense Forces in response to
Fedayeen's attacks.
Darwish is an outspoken critic of the culture she came from. Supported by her
husband and children, she dedicates her life to exposing the false accusations
against the Jews which the Arab nations are promoting.
'We did 9/11 ourselves'
She explains that after 9/11, she called her friends in the Middle East to
understand how something like that could have happened. She was surprised to
hear all of them blame a 'Jewish conspiracy' for the deaths of 3,000 people in
New York City. "How could my people," she asks, "t
"How could my people, the Arab and Muslim people, accuse the Jewish people of
something we know very well that we did ourselves?"
he Arab and Muslim people, accuse the Jewish people of something we know very
well that we did ourselves?"
Although Nonie is no longer Muslim, she still refers to them as her people.
Although her relatives in Egypt no longer speak to her, she doesn't see the
problem in supporting Israel. "Loving the Israeli people does not mean I hate
Arabs; they are my family," she states.
Darwish says that she is very fearful of President-elect Barack Obama and thinks
he will only add to the anti-Israel feelings in America. Still, she says: "There
is nothing called 'no hope'. If there was no hope, I wouldn't be speaking."
Nonie's organization is called Arabs for Israel (www.arabsforisrael.com).
Her new book "Cruel and Usual Punishment" will be available in January 2009.

RUSSIAN ANALYST PREDICTS DECLINE AND
BREAKUP OF USA
Tue Nov 25 2008 09:04:22 ET
A leading Russian political analyst has said the economic turmoil in the United
States has confirmed his long-held view that the country is heading for
collapse, and will divide into separate parts.
Professor Igor Panarin said in an interview with the respected daily IZVESTIA
published on Monday: "The dollar is not secured by anything. The country's
foreign debt has grown like an avalanche, even though in the early 1980s there
was no debt. By 1998, when I first made my prediction, it had exceeded $2
trillion. Now it is more than 11 trillion. This is a pyramid that can only
collapse."
The paper said Panarin's dire predictions for the U.S. economy, initially made
at an international conference in Australia 10 years ago at a time when the
economy appeared strong, have been given more credence by this year's events.
When asked when the U.S. economy would collapse, Panarin said: "It is already
collapsing. Due to the financial crisis, three of the largest and oldest five
banks on Wall Street have already ceased to exist, and two are barely surviving.
Their losses are the biggest in history. Now what we will see is a change in the
regulatory system on a global financial scale: America will no longer be the
world's financial regulator."
When asked who would replace the U.S. in regulating world markets, he said: "Two
countries could assume this role: China, with its vast reserves, and Russia,
which could play the role of a regulator in Eurasia."
Asked why he expected the U.S. to break up into separate parts, he said: "A
whole range of reasons. Firstly, the financial problems in the U.S. will get
worse. Millions of citizens there have lost their savings. Prices and
unemployment are on the rise. General Motors and Ford are on the verge of
collapse, and this means that whole cities will be left without work. Governors
are already insistently demanding money from the federal center. Dissatisfaction
is growing, and at the moment it is only being held back by the elections and
the hope that Obama can work miracles. But by spring, it will be clear that
there are no miracles."
He also cited the "vulnerable political setup", "lack of unified national laws",
and "divisions among the elite, which have become clear in these crisis
conditions."
He predicted that the U.S. will break up into six parts - the Pacific coast,
with its growing Chinese population; the South, with its Hispanics; Texas, where
independence movements are on the rise; the Atlantic coast, with its distinct
and separate mentality; five of the poorer central states with their large
Native American populations; and the northern states, where the influence from
Canada is strong.
He even suggested that "we could claim Alaska - it was only granted on lease,
after all." Panarin, 60, is a professor at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has authored several books on information
warfare.
