Rejects Peace, Welcomes Terrorists

(IsraelNN.com) Palestinian Authority Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas
(Abu Mazen) fulfilled the time-honored PA tradition of rejecting any form of
peace with Israel on Monday afternoon as soon as nearly 200 convicted terrorists
crossed the border into PA territory.
"I promise we won't rest until we bring about the release of all the prisoners,"
vowed Abbas in a special welcome ceremony for the 198 terrorists released by
Israel in the latest "goodwill gesture" offered by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert as
a means of supporting Abbas in his bid to retain control of the Palestinian
Authority.
Abbas's Fatah faction lost its grip over the Gaza region more than a year ago,
when the rival Hamas terrorist organization seized control over the area.
"Despite the great happiness, we know that there is also sadness over those who
were left behind, 11,000 who have yet to be released," added Abbas in a speech
gauged to maximize the moment of popularity. "They all have a place in our
hearts, but there is a special one, senior brother Marwan Barghouti and the
leading brother Ahmad Sa?adat, whom we hope to see soon," he said.
Barghouti, head of the Fatah Tanzim terror group, is considered the most popular
figure in PA politics today. He is currently serving five consecutive life
sentences, in addition to a 40-year term for masterminding the murders of
numerous civilians. Both Fatah and Hamas have tried numerous times to
alternately persuade and coerce Israel into freeing Barghouti in negotiations
for various prisoner release deals.
Sa'adat, leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)
terrorist group, was one of the masterminds of the terrorist murder of former
Tourism Minister Rehavam Ze'evi.
Abbas reiterated his intention to reject peace with Israel, despite numerous
security concessions by the Olmert government. He has said he would accept only
an agreement that includes continguous land between Gaza, Judea and Samaria, and
with Jerusalem as the capital of the new PA state.
The condition is not new. His predecessor, Yasser Arafat, rejected equally
tempting proposals for peace settlements with Israel, including one by
then-Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
In July 2000, Barak offered at Camp David to hand over 94 percent of Judea and
Samaria and 100 percent of Gaza, plus one percent of pre-1967 Israeli territory
in the Negev, but on condition that Jerusalem would remain in Israeli hands
forever.
As did his protege Abbas with Olmert earlier this month, Arafat refused to
compromise, and rejected the proposal. The talks collapsed, leading to a
long-lasting round of PA Arab violence that has since become known as the Oslo
War, or Second Intifada.
2. The Palestinians want ALL of Israel
and not just the pre-1967 section!
We see from the news item above that Ehud Barak offered both Arafat and
Abbas most of what Israel liberated in 1967.
It was refused.
The struggle between Israel and the Palestinians is NOT ABOUT returning what
Israel gained
in 1967 as some pro-Palestinians like to imagine.
The struggle concerns the very existence of Israel and many pro-Palestinians NOW
ADMIT
that they would like to see Israel to disappear.
Some like the Palestinians themselves on occasion speak of this "disappearance"
taking the form
of physical destruction and the massacre of all Jews in the area.
others explain as a kind of dissolution, a voluntary resignation of power
similar to what the whites
in South Africa gave to the blacks. The people who speak in this manner are
usually white overseas left-wingers
and even they do not take themselves seriously.
The Arabs would never tolerate Jews in this area and even if they would the
Jewish People can not allow itself to
exist ever again in a subservient state.
it is not however subservience that the Jews are indanger of but rather extermination at the hands of a cruel, deceitful, and malicious foe.

Arab Flocks and Palestinians
The Palestinians graze large numbers of sheep and goats.
In parts of Israel inside the green line and in Judah and Samariah any land that
is left unoccupied or unsupervised becomes a grazing area.
Within a short time this grazing area is often considered a de facto possession
of the sheep owner or of his whole clan and a legal
tangle results that may be expensive and time-consuming to resolve or not
resolved at all.
Liberal Jews and Gentile activists (often on some type of EU subsidy) may spring
to the defence of the Arab herders.
This brings us to the subject of Arab grazing habits in general.
Arab sheep and goats (especially goats) are uneconomical as far as the Arabs are
concerned but they continue to keep them in large numbers out of habit.
The Arabs would be better off expending the energies and resources they put into
sheep and goats in other directions, even agricultural ones.
These animals eat up all the shrubbery and undergrowth destroying plant roots
that otherwise would guard the top soil.
The result is fewer trees and bushes that succeed to reach maturity
along with exposed top soil that has little protection against wind and rain.
Consequently there is denudation of the soil and less greenery.
It is not for nothing that the de facto border between Jewish and Arab
settlements is referred to as the "Green Line".
Where there are Jews it is green and where there are Arabs it is not.
Lack of greenery increases the temperature and also lessens precipitation.
This is not only due to the air being hotter but also because trees and plant
facilitate circulation of moisture in the atmosphere .
A Cyclic Effect results.
Historically where there are Arabs there is desert.
The Arabs bring the desert with them.
Look at North Africa once the granary of the Roman Empire
before the Arabs conquered it. Now it is not like that.
Not at all.
War against civilization and cultivation is a long tradition with Muslims in
general.
A Beduin guard once admitted to me, "Trees do not survive long with us".
Before Mohammed there were several Jewish settlements in Arabia.
They were populated by Jews and Arab converts to Judaism.
Relatively speaking they were prosperous agricultural communities
with sophisticated irrigation works.
Mohammed had the men massacred and the women and children enslaved.
Their agricultural works were destroyed and have remained a relative wilderness
ever since.
Jews are officially not allowed to enter Saudi Arabia.
US officials of Jewish origin on duty in Saudia upon occasion have been
requested to conceal their affiliation.
As for the sheep and Palestinians.
Since the Palestinians want to destroy the State of Israel (in which you or at
least several others here evidently support them) and Israel should not be
destroyed then the would-be destroyers should be encouraged to emigrate and if
necessary they should take their sheep with them.
Do-gooders in the west who are concerned about the Palestinians should perhaps
be enabled to experience the benefits of Arab sheep at first hand?
After that the Israelis may be able to rehabilitate more of the Land of Israel.
The Return of Israel to its Land is associated with Ecological Rehabiilitation
of the Environment
including the soil, water resources, and climate change that may be effected
through more greenery and other means.

TREE OF THE FIELD SHALL YIELD HER
FRUIT: This has begun to happen in a small way in the land of Israel. The
boundaries of Jewish settlement in Israel are known as "The Green Line". Where
Jews live you find some vegetation, some greenery. Where Arabs dominate the land
is mostly bare although Israeli example and Israeli instruction and
encouragement has here and there led the Arabs to improve their agricultural
practices.

THE three men arrested over a reported plot to kill the US
Democratic presidential candidate, Barack Obama, have ties to the white
supremacist group Aryan Nations, police said last night.
Shawn Robert Adolf, 33, Nathan Johnson and Tharin Gartrell are all said to have
links to the group.
Adolf , his real name according to police, and the others were arrested on
weapons charges after an apparent move to assassinate Mr Obama during his
party's convention in Denver this week.
All three belong to Aryan Nations, according to Victor Ross, the police chief in
Glendale, a suburb of Denver where one of the suspects was arrested. The other
two were held in Aurora, another suburb.
"We don't usually have that number of Aryan Nations people here,'' Mr Ross said.
"It was suspicious to us. We turned everything over to the federal authorities."
It is said the group planned to shoot Mr Obama during his convention acceptance
speech, to be delivered outdoors at a football stadium tomorrow night, the
anniversary of Martin Luther King's famous "I have a dream" address. While
federal agents are downplaying the plot as being of "no credible threat" to Mr
Obama, the discovery of such a plan, and the way it was discovered, are certain
to raise security concerns over the man who could be the next president of the
United States.
Events started to move in the early hours of Sunday, the day before the
Democratic National Convention was due to open, when a police patrol car stopped
a pick-up truck driving erratically in Aurora.
In the back of the vehicle, officers found two high-powered rifles, one with
telescopic sights, a spotting scope, a flak jacket, camouflage clothing, a
bulletproof vest, boxes of ammunition, three fake identity cards, two wigs, two
walkie-talkies and a quantity of the drug methamphetamine, a form of speed known
as crystal meth.
The driver, Gartrell, 28, unemployed, was arrested.
Four hours later, police raided a nearby hotel where alleged accomplice Adolf, a
wanted fugitive, was staying. He tried to escape by jumping from a sixth-floor
window, breaking his ankle in the attempt.
He has a long history of convictions for drugs and violence, and when arrested,
police found he had the key to handcuffs in one hand and a ring with a swastika
emblem in the other.
Shortly afterwards, police made two more arrests, of Johnson, 32, and his
girlfriend, Natasha Gromek, both on drugs charges, at another hotel.
In an extraordinary interview from his jail cell, Johnson told a reporter from
CBS television that Adolf had planned to kill Mr Obama during his nomination
acceptance address to 75,000 supporters at Denver's Invesco Field at Mile High
football stadium tomorrow night.
"He (Adolf] said at one point, yes, it would be on probably the day of his
acceptance speech," Johnson said. He had told FBI investigators "it would be
from a high vantage point with the named rifle". But Johnson insisted he himself
had no part in the plot.
He said Adolf had said of Mr Obama: "He don't belong in political office; blacks
don't belong in political office. He should be shot."
When asked if he felt there was a plot to kill Mr Obama, Johnson said: "Looking
back at it, I don't want to say yes, but I don't want to say no."
Aryan Nations is the most influential of dozens of neo-Nazi groups spread across
the US. Last year, one of its members, Jason Hamilton, went on a shooting spree
that left three people and himself dead in Idaho, home to one of the group's
three branches. Hamilton was a member of The Order, a self-styled commando group
within Aryan Nations.
The group's website is blunt about its role in creating a whites-only state in
North America. "We realise that it takes a cold-blooded, pragmatic and realist
viewpoint to enact the changes which will be necessary to achieve our goals," it
says.
But the US authorities are playing down the ability of the arrested men to carry
out an assassination amid tight security. "We're absolutely confident there is
no credible threat to the candidate, the Democratic National Convention or the
people of Colorado," Troy Eid, the state attorney, said.
Opinion is divided about whether groups such as Aryan Nations represent a
genuine threat or can be dismissed as cranks, but the US has a long and unhappy
history of cranks with guns. The 1963 assassination of John F Kennedy was the
work of a disgruntled loner, Lee Harvey Oswald, and in 1995, Timothy McVeigh, a
former soldier, aided by two accomplices, built a bomb and detonated it outside
a federal building in Oklahoma City, killing 168.
Prosecutors yesterday said they had evidence to charge the three men only with
drugs and firearms offences.
Security fears have been heightened by Mr Obama's decision to hold his
acceptance speech not in the convention centre in Denver, but in the open-roofed
football stadium, a much harder venue to police.
The evidence suggests a well-planned assassination attempt, with weapons
assembled, a truck rented and hotel rooms booked in a town where most
accommodation was full months before the convention.
But police sources doubt such an attempt could have been carried out. Metal
detectors will search all those entering the stadium; the nearest rooftops are
750 yards from the ground and will be monitored by police snipers; helicopters
will guard a no-fly zone over the stadium, and even a McVeigh-style truck bomb
would be kept away by a large cordon around the area.
Nevertheless, the arrests have touched a raw nerve .
