Summary of Individual Chapters:
Chapter 16: Moab will request help from Judah (16:1-3) and from the Ruler of Judah sitting upon the throne of David with judgment and righteousness (16:5).
Judah will be of the opinion that Moab does not deserve assistance (16:6) but some help will be given though Moab will still be sorely stricken (16:7). Part of Moab will be exiled over the sea (16:8). Only a small remnant of Moab will remain (16:14).

Chapter 17: Damascus will be destroyed (17:1). Damascus of Aram (translated as "Syria") had allied itself with Ephraim and both would come to an ending (17:3). Jacob would be weakened (17:4). Jacob appears to be equated in this case with Ephraim (17:5). Nearly all of Northern Israel will be exiled (17:6).
[Prophecy flits back and forth in its time sequences according to the subject matter].

There will come a day when men will worship God and abandon their idolatry and the worship of their own abilities and achievements (17:7-8). Many nations causing a tumult together, such as the UN, will be rebuked by the Almighty (17:12-13). Those who wish to disturb and rob us will be unsettled (17:14).

Chapter 18: Isaiah 18 has been interpreted as applying to the UK and to the USA both of whom have helped Judah return to the Land:

#2. Jack Flaws: Isaiah 18
Isaiah speaks of a wing-shaded land beyond the rivers of Cush (18:1). This has several possible applications including Africa as well as the Anglo-Saxons who emerged from Central Asia which was also once known as "Cush".
The explanation of Gregorio Billikopf Encina based on earlier Commentators says Isaiah 18 is referring to Britain and by extension North America. This now seems to us to be the most correct explanation though the other solutions also have something to them.
Scripture can often have more than one correct application.

Chapter 19: Isaiah chapter 19 begins with a condemnation of Mitsrayim which usually means "Egypt" but can also be applied to other entities. The Mitsrim ("Egyptians") will fight each other. Mitsrayim is divided into several kingdoms that will war against each other (19:2). In the past we tentatively identified "Mitsraim" in some Prophetic contexts as Russia or nations of the former USSR.
The Land of Judah will be a terror unto Mitsrayim (19:7). A solution accepting the usual equation of Mitsrayim=Egypt should also be considered. Eventually five cities in the Land of Mitsrayim will be populated by speakers of the language of Canaan (Hebrew) and belong to Israel (19:18). The people of Mitsrayim will repent and worship the God of Israel who will heal them (19:22). There will be a highway connecting Mitsrayim and Assyria and both shall join with Israel (19:23-24).

Chapter 20: Isaiah 20 uses events that were to take place in the time of Isaiah or shortly afterwards as a prototype for the future.

Q 2. What Are Prototypical Prophecies?
Mitsrayim ("Egypt") and Cush ("Ethiopia") will suffer under Assyria. The Island (Britain?) will seek a place to flee due to fear of Assyria (20:6).
In WW11 it is said that Britain had contingency plans in case of invasion and defeat to transport a portion of the population to Canada and continue from there.

Chapter 16

Isaiah - Chapter 16
This chapter continues the message concerning Moab.
[Isaiah 16:1] SEND YE THE LAMB TO THE RULER OF THE LAND FROM SELA TO THE WILDERNESS, UNTO THE MOUNT OF THE DAUGHTER OF ZION.
This chapter is difficult and can be interpreted several ways.  I have chosen to be guided in this case by the Hebrew Commentary of Amos Chacham in the "Daat Mikra" series.
"LAMB" in Hebrew "car" which can also mean "sheep" or "messenger" or "emissary bearing a sheep as a symbolic
offeriing of reconciliation". Moab is in trouble and so sends to Zion (Judah) for assistance. Historically Moab was attacked and conquered by Arab Tribes, then by the Assyrians on three occcasions. Finally Moab was conquered and its people deported by Nebuchadnessar the Babylonian. The Prophecy could be based on events connected with any of these occasions. The Prophets took events occuring in or close to their own lifetimes and built on them messages pertinent to the End Times. Moab is somewhere in Europe.

[Isaiah 16:2] FOR IT SHALL BE, THAT, AS A WANDERING BIRD CAST OUT OF THE NEST, SO THE DAUGHTERS OF  MOAB SHALL BE AT THE FORDS OF ARNON.
The women of Moab were forcibly driven out of their homes away from husband and children.

[Isaiah 16:3] TAKE COUNSEL, EXECUTE JUDGMENT; MAKE THY SHADOW AS THE NIGHT IN THE MIDST OF THE  NOONDAY; HIDE THE OUTCASTS; BEWRAY NOT HIM THAT WANDERETH.
Moab is pleading to Judah. Moan was an enemy of Judah and behaved cruelly and treacherously on more than one occasion. Nevertheless Moab turns to Judah in time of trouble as a last result pleading that Judah accept the refugees of Moab.

[Isaiah 16:4] LET MINE OUTCASTS DWELL WITH THEE, MOAB; BE THOU A COVERT TO THEM FROM THE FACE OF  THE SPOILER: FOR THE EXTORTIONER IS AT AN END, THE SPOILER CEASETH, THE OPPRESSORS ARE CONSUMED   OUT OF THE LAND.
"LET MINE OUTCASTS DWELL WITH THEE, MOAB": Better read from the Hebrew  as saying "Let the outcasts of Moab dwell with thee", i.e. with Judah who Moab is pleading before. Also the end should be read to say something like Oppression is consuming us [i.e. Moab] out of the land.

[Isaiah 16:5] AND IN MERCY SHALL THE THRONE BE ESTABLISHED: AND HE SHALL SIT UPON IT IN TRUTH IN THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID, JUDGING, AND SEEKING JUDGMENT, AND HASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS.
"MERCY SHALL THE THRONE BE ESTABLISHED": This is a plea to the King of Judah whose throne is based on the principle of mercy. Likewise even the wicked tyrannous kings of northern Israel had a reputation amongst non-Israelites as relatively speaking being "merciful kings" (1-Kings 20;30).

[Isaiah 16:6] WE HAVE HEARD OF THE PRIDE OF MOAB; HE IS VERY PROUD: EVEN OF HIS HAUGHTINESS, AND HIS PRIDE, AND HIS WRATH: BUT HIS LIES SHALL NOT BE SO.
This is the reply from Judah. Moab does not deserve assistance. Nevertheless it is not so clear that some assistance is not being granted. It just was not enough.

[Isaiah 16:7] THEREFORE SHALL MOAB HOWL FOR MOAB, EVERY ONE SHALL HOWL: FOR THE FOUNDATIONS OF KIRHARESETH SHALL YE MOURN; SURELY THEY ARE STRICKEN.

[Isaiah 16:8] FOR THE FIELDS OF HESHBON LANGUISH, AND THE VINE OF SIBMAH: THE LORDS OF THE HEATHEN HAVE BROKEN DOWN THE PRINCIPAL PLANTS THEREOF, THEY ARE COME EVEN UNTO JAZER, THEY WANDERED THROUGH THE WILDERNESS: HER BRANCHES ARE STRETCHED OUT, THEY ARE GONE OVER THE SEA.
"ARE GONE OVER THE SEA": An exile of Moab to Europe? Asia? Statuettes of Moabite kings show them to have been European in type. They were also intelligent-looking and shortish but this could have been due to diet or environment. The Jews in Central Europe were also short but their children in Israel are taller. The Japanese too have increased quite markedly in height. The Japanese in America even more so.

[Isaiah 16:9] THEREFORE I WILL BEWAIL WITH THE WEEPING OF JAZER THE VINE OF SIBMAH: I WILL WATER THEE WITH MY TEARS, O HESHBON, AND ELEALEH: FOR THE SHOUTING FOR THY SUMMER FRUITS AND FOR THE  HARVEST IS FALLEN.

[Isaiah 16:10] AND GLADNESS IS TAKEN AWAY, AND JOY OUT OF THE PLENTIFUL FIELD; AND IN THE VINEYARDS THERE SHALL BE NO SINGING, NEITHER SHALL THERE BE SHOUTING: THE TREADERS SHALL TREAD OUT NO WINE IN THEIR PRESSES; I HAVE MADE THEIR VINTAGE SHOUTING TO CEASE.

[Isaiah 16:11] WHEREFORE MY BOWELS SHALL SOUND LIKE AN HARP FOR MOAB, AND MINE INWARD PARTS  FOR KIRHARESH.

[Isaiah 16:12] AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS, WHEN IT IS SEEN THAT MOAB IS WEARY ON THE HIGH PLACE, THAT HE SHALL COME TO HIS SANCTUARY TO PRAY; BUT HE SHALL NOT PREVAIL.

[Isaiah 16:13] THIS IS THE WORD THAT THE LORD HATH SPOKEN CONCERNING MOAB SINCE THAT TIME.

[Isaiah 16:14] BUT NOW THE LORD HATH SPOKEN, SAYING, WITHIN THREE YEARS, AS THE YEARS OF AN HIRELING, AND THE GLORY OF MOAB SHALL BE CONTEMNED, WITH ALL THAT GREAT MULTITUDE; AND THE REMNANT SHALL BE VERY SMALL AND FEEBLE.

Isaiah - Chapter 17

Chapter 17

[Isaiah 17:1] THE BURDEN OF DAMASCUS. BEHOLD, DAMASCUS IS TAKEN AWAY FROM BEING A CITY, AND IT SHALL BE A RUINOUS HEAP
Damascus at present is a city in Syria. In Biblical and archaeological terms there were two places under the category of Damascus. Damascus in the Bible is usually a country which was mainly to the north of present-day Syria. There was also a city named Damascus on the Euphrates River in the North close to the Classical Thapsacus. See: "Brit-Am Now"- 402, #3. The NORTHERN BORDERS of Biblical Israel
and Scroll Down to the heading DAMASCUS.

Near Eastern Archaeology in the Twentieth Century, edited by James A. Sanders, 1970, p. 173, note 2.
Damascus was also known as Apum.
article, "NORTHERN CANAAN AND THE MARI TEXTS" by Abraham Malamat
# the land of Apum mentioned here must be differentiated from another country of the same name occurring ion the Mari and Cappadocian texts, located in the Habor region".
Quotes from M. Faulkner, AfO, 18, 1957, p.2
W. F. Albright, YGC (1968), p.58 n.30
W. F. Albright, "The land of Damascus between 1850 and 1750 B.C.," BASOR, no. 83 (1941), p.30 ff.

Damascus was peopled by
Aramaeans. Present-day Syria was peopled at first by Israelites. Afterwards Aramaeans conquered portions of it and settled there possibly intermarrying and merging with the Israelites. In the future all of Syria will belong to Israel. Most of the world"s countries are irresponsible and I do not see why they should be independent. Syria, Iraq, and other Middle eas nations should be  dismantled and reconsituted along autonomous ethnic lines with Israelite nations ruling over them. The people of Syria should be resettled elsewhere and Israelites settled in their place. The Aramaeans settled in Germany and other parts of Europe.
I know that these different identification we make may sometimes seem confused and confusing. That does not necessarily mean we are wrong.  Both Scripture and history reflect reality and the real world is not always simple.

Scripture and especially Prophecy may have manifold applications. Prophecies referring to Damascus may mean the Damascus of today or it may mean an entity somehow connected with people who came from that region.
[Isaiah 17:2] THE CITIES OF AROER ARE FORSAKEN: THEY SHALL BE FOR FLOCKS, WHICH SHALL LIE DOWN, AND  NONE SHALL MAKE THEM AFRAID.

[Isaiah 17:3] THE FORTRESS ALSO SHALL CEASE FROM EPHRAIM, AND THE KINGDOM FROM DAMASCUS, AND THE REMNANT OF SYRIA: THEY SHALL BE AS THE GLORY OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, SAITH THE LORD OF HOSTS.
Damascus towards the end was allied with northern Israel (i.e. Ephraim) and when Syria (Aram in Hebrew) so too did Ephraim shortly afterwards. The name "Damascus" [Damashek] also links up to the name Meshek as explained in "Lost Israelite Identity." The people of Meshek eventually settled in  Russia. Moscow is named after them.

[Isaiah 17:4] AND IN THAT DAY IT SHALL COME TO PASS, THAT THE GLORY OF JACOB SHALL BE MADE THIN, AND  THE FATNESS OF HIS FLESH SHALL WAX LEAN.

[Isaiah 17:5] AND IT SHALL BE AS WHEN THE HARVESTMAN GATHERETH THE CORN, AND REAPETH THE EARS WITH HIS ARM; AND IT SHALL BE AS HE THAT GATHERETH EARS IN THE VALLEY OF REPHAIM.

[Isaiah 17:6] YET GLEANING GRAPES SHALL BE LEFT IN IT, AS THE SHAKING OF AN OLIVE TREE, TWO OR THREE BERRIES IN THE TOP OF THE UPPERMOST BOUGH, FOUR OR FIVE IN THE OUTMOST FRUITFUL BRANCHES THEREOF,  SAITH THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL.
Nearly all of Northern Israel will be exiled.

[Isaiah 17:7] AT THAT DAY SHALL A MAN LOOK TO HIS MAKER, AND HIS EYES SHALL HAVE RESPECT TO THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL.

[Isaiah 17:8] AND HE SHALL NOT LOOK TO THE ALTARS, THE WORK OF HIS HANDS, NEITHER SHALL RESPECT THAT WHICH HIS FINGERS HAVE MADE, EITHER THE GROVES, OR THE IMAGES.

[Isaiah 17:9] IN THAT DAY SHALL HIS STRONG CITIES BE AS A FORSAKEN BOUGH, AND AN UPPERMOST BRANCH, WHICH THEY LEFT BECAUSE OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL: AND THERE SHALL BE DESOLATION.

[Isaiah 17:10] BECAUSE THOU HAST FORGOTTEN THE GOD OF THY SALVATION, AND HAST NOT BEEN MINDFUL OF THE ROCK OF THY STRENGTH, THEREFORE SHALT THOU PLANT PLEASANT PLANTS, AND SHALT SET IT WITH STRANGE  SLIPS:

[Isaiah 17:11] IN THE DAY SHALT THOU MAKE THY PLANT TO GROW, AND IN THE MORNING SHALT THOU MAKE THY SEED TO FLOURISH: BUT THE HARVEST SHALL BE A HEAP IN THE DAY OF GRIEF AND OF DESPERATE SORROW.

[Isaiah 17:12] WOE TO THE MULTITUDE OF MANY PEOPLE, WHICH MAKE A NOISE LIKE THE NOISE OF THE SEAS; AND TO THE RUSHING OF NATIONS, THAT MAKE A RUSHING LIKE THE RUSHING OF MIGHTY WATERS!

[Isaiah 17:13] THE NATIONS SHALL RUSH LIKE THE RUSHING OF MANY WATERS: BUT GOD SHALL REBUKE THEM, AND THEY SHALL FLEE FAR OFF, AND SHALL BE CHASED AS THE CHAFF OF THE MOUNTAINS BEFORE THE WIND, AND  LIKE A ROLLING THING BEFORE THE WHIRLWIND.

[Isaiah 17:14] AND BEHOLD AT EVENINGTIDE TROUBLE; AND BEFORE THE MORNING HE IS NOT. THIS IS THE  PORTION OF THEM THAT SPOIL US, AND THE LOT OF THEM THAT ROB US.

Isaiah -Chapter 18
For an alternative explanation to Isaiah chapter 18
in which "Beyond the Rivers of
Cush" (Isaiah 18:1) is explained as referring to South Africa, see:
South Africa in Prophecy

[Isaiah 18:1] WOE TO THE LAND SHADOWING WITH WINGS, WHICH IS BEYOND THE RIVERS OF ETHIOPIA:
"ETHIOPIA" in Hebrew "Cush". Cush was a nation representatives of which were spread throughout several regions.
Cush could apply to Africa in general, to the Sudan, to Ethiopia, to India, west Afghanistan, Central Asia and possibly elsewhereas  well.
If we take
Cush as applying to an area of Africa (as Amos Chacham does) it comes out very well BUT there is a problem. We should remember that Scripture can often deliberatedly have several applications and also it is not our task to find a conclusive answer to every question or inconsistency. The Hebrew can also be interpreted in several different ways but the choice made in the King James version (in this case) is not bad.

[Isaiah 18:2] THAT SENDETH AMBASSADORS BY THE SEA, EVEN IN VESSELS OF BULRUSHES UPON THE WATERS, SAYING, GO, YE SWIFT MESSENGERS, TO A NATION SCATTERED AND PEELED, TO A PEOPLE TERRIBLE FROM THEIR BEGINNING HITHERTO; A NATION METED OUT AND TRODDEN DOWN, WHOSE LAND THE RIVERS HAVE SPOILED!
"BULRUSHES" pertienent to boats on the Nile and other African Rivers.
Taking
Cush as Africa this chapter is interpreted assaying that firstly in the time of King Hezekiah when the angel came down and miraculously destroyed the Assyrian Army many people in Africa werearoused to acknowledge the God of Israel. In the Last Days great miracles will also occur to the Israelites and many Africans will see this and also accept the yoke of the God of Israel.

[Isaiah 18:3] ALL YE INHABITANTS OF THE WORLD, AND DWELLERS ON THE EARTH, SEE YE, WHEN HE LIFTETH UP AN ENSIGN ON THE MOUNTAINS; AND WHEN HE BLOWETH A TRUMPET, HEAR YE.

[Isaiah 18:4] FOR SO THE LORD SAID UNTO ME, I WILL TAKE MY REST, AND I WILL CONSIDER IN MY DWELLING PLACE LIKE A CLEAR HEAT UPON HERBS, AND LIKE A CLOUD OF DEW IN THE HEAT OF HARVEST.

[Isaiah 18:5] FOR AFORE THE HARVEST, WHEN THE BUD IS PERFECT, AND THE SOUR GRAPE IS RIPENING IN THE  FLOWER, HE SHALL BOTH CUT OFF THE SPRIGS WITH PRUNING HOOKS, AND TAKE AWAY AND CUT DOWN THE  BRANCHES.

[Isaiah 18:6] THEY SHALL BE LEFT TOGETHER UNTO THE FOWLS OF THE MOUNTAINS, AND TO THE BEASTS OF THE  EARTH: AND THE FOWLS SHALL SUMMER UPON THEM, AND ALL THE BEASTS OF THE EARTH SHALL WINTER UPON THEM.

[Isaiah 18:7] IN THAT TIME SHALL THE PRESENT BE BROUGHT UNTO THE LORD OF HOSTS OF A PEOPLE SCATTERED AND PEELED, AND FROM A PEOPLE TERRIBLE FROM THEIR BEGINNING HITHERTO; A NATION METED OUT AND TRODDEN UNDER FOOT, WHOSE LAND THE RIVERS HAVE SPOILED, TO THE PLACE OF THE NAME OF THE LORD OF HOSTS, THE MOUNT ZION.
Taking Cush as Africa Amos Chacham hints that THE PRESENT is the Ark of the Covenant. There is a legend that the Ark of the Covenant was taken to Ethiopia and in the Last Days will be returned from there to Zion. This fits the above verse. It is known that in Ethiopia replicas of the Ark were made. Even so the impression is that the Ark is actually hidden in one of the numerous tunnels that are found under the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Another possibility exists: The Romans took many of the Temple Treasures to Rome. The Vandals captured Rome and took away at least part of the Temple treasure. The Vandals then moved to North Africa where they were defeated by the Byzantines who then were centered in Constantinople in present-day Turkey. Before they were defeated a large section of the Vandals moved to Ireland and from there to Northern England and Lowland Scotland, as explained in our work "The Tribes". Perhaps they took part of the Treasure with them?
An alternate Commentary: starting from the first verse: "WHICH IS BEYOND THE RIVERS OF ETHIOPIA": The Aramaic translation renders "Ethiopia" here as "
Hodu" meaing India. In Classical terminology "India" encompassed eastern Iran and Afghanistan. RIVERS OF CUSH (not ETHIOPIA) referred to the area of Hara in eastern Persia -whereto a portion of the Lost Ten Tribes was exiled. Just beyond this area is Central Asia where the ancestors of the Anglo-Saxons emerged from. In Anglo-Saxon and Frisian legend they refer to this area as "India" which is consistent with the Cush explanation. Frisian legend said that they and the Anglo-Saxons came from the Land of Israel.
[see The Tribes] In the days of Isaiah these people either already were "beyond the Rivers of
Cush" or about to be transplanted there.  In the Last days they will return to Zion and be reconciled with the Jews.
The
conclusionswe reached in The Tribes have been strengthened by recent findings and by further research. "The Tribes" is now available. If you have not purchased a copy of this valuable and informative work you are urged to do so.

Concerning the Ark of the Covenant

Jeremiah 3:15-17 In those days, when your numbers have increased greatly in the land," declares the L-RD, "men will no longer say, `The ark of the covenant of the L-RD.' It will never enter their minds or be remembered; it will not be missed, nor will another one be made.
Comment: Jeremiah says:
[
JER 3:16] AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS, WHEN YE BE MULTIPLIED AND INCREASED IN THE LAND, IN THOSE DAYS, SAITH THE LORD, THEY SHALL SAY NO MORE, THE ARK OF THE COVENANT OF THE LORD: NEITHER SHALL IT COME TO MIND: NEITHER SHALL THEY REMEMBER IT; NEITHER SHALL THEY VISIT IT; NEITHER SHALL THAT BE DONE ANY MORE.
[
JER 3:17] AT THAT TIME THEY SHALL CALL JERUSALEM THE THRONE OF THE LORD; AND ALL THE NATIONS SHALL BE GATHERED UNTO IT, TO THE NAME OF THE LORD, TO JERUSALEM: NEITHER SHALL  THEY WALK ANY MORE AFTER THE IMAGINATION OF THEIR EVIL HEART.
[
JER 3:18] IN THOSE DAYS THE HOUSE OF JUDAH SHALL WALK WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, AND THEY SHALL COME TOGETHER OUT OF THE LAND OF THE NORTH TO THE LAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN FOR AN INHERITANCE UNTO YOUR FATHERS.
He is talking about  the reconciliation of Judah with the Lost Ten Tribes of northern Israel .
The Commentaries all say that in those days the ARK will be in the Temple but the relationship to the ARK will not be as it was in the past.
There will be no more war, no more need to take the ark out with them to battle. Divine Providence will be felt extremely strongly everywhere
especially throughout Jerusalem.
Another explanation is that of the
Malbim and fits the literal Hebrew expressions: THEY SHALL SAY NO MORE, THE ARK OF THE COVENANT OF THE LORD: NEITHER SHALL IT COME TO MIND: NEITHER SHALL THEY REMEMBER IT; NEITHER SHALL THEY VISIT IT; NEITHER SHALL THAT BE DONE ANY MORE.   The Malbim explains that this can be read in Hebrew as saying:
THEY SHALL SAY NO MORE, THE ARK OF THE COVENANT OF THE LORD:  BUT NOT TAKE IT TO HEART NOR
KEEP IT IN THEIR MEMORY AND NOT VISIT IT; SUCH AS THIS SHALL NO MORE BE  DONE .
i.e. Divine Providence and the Commandments represented by the Ark of the Coventant will no longer be disregarded.
This explanation appears the most consistent one to me.  If however you cannot accept my opinion on this matter I will not be offended
nor wish to engage in debate on the subject.
Finding the Ark of the Covenant may well prove instrumental in hastening our final Redemption.

CUSH and the Anglo-Saxons
Zephaniah 3:10  From beyond the rivers of ETHIOPIA my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, SHALL BRING MINE OFFERING (PRESENT, GIFT).

[Isaiah 18:1] WOE TO THE LAND SHADOWING WITH WINGS, WHICH IS BEYOND THE RIVERS OF ETHIOPIA:
In both cases "
CUSH" is translated as "Hodu" and the intention is to the area of Israelite Exile in the east of Iran and to the north of it where the Angles, Saxons, and related peoples came from. It is speaking of reconciliation and the return of the Lost Ten Tribes.
Ultimate Redemption is dependent upon the rebuilding of Jerusalem and of the Temple:
Compare the following message (which is repeated elsewhere in Scripture):
[PSALMS 51:15] O LORD, OPEN THOU MY LIPS; AND MY MOUTH SHALL
SHEW FORTH THY PRAISE.
[PSALMS 51:16] FOR THOU
DESIREST NOT SACRIFICE; ELSE WOULD I GIVE IT: THOU DELIGHTEST NOT IN  BURNT OFFERING.
[PSALMS 51:17] THE SACRIFICES OF GOD ARE A BROKEN SPIRIT: A BROKEN AND A CONTRITE HEART, O GOD, THOU WILT NOT DESPISE.
[PSALMS 51:18] DO GOOD IN THY GOOD PLEASURE UNTO ZION: BUILD THOU THE WALLS OF JERUSALEM.
[PSALMS 51:19] THEN
SHALT THOU BE PLEASED WITH THE SACRIFICES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, WITH BURNT OFFERING AND WHOLE BURNT OFFERING: THEN SHALL THEY OFFER BULLOCKS UPON THINE ALTAR.
The message says that God does not want a Temple and sacrifices without a contrite heart and the right intention
BUT an expression of a truly contrite heart and the right intention ultimately involves building the Temple
and renewal of sacrifice.

Isaiah-Chapter 19
[Isaiah 19:1] THE BURDEN OF EGYPT. BEHOLD, THE LORD RIDETH UPON A SWIFT CLOUD, AND SHALL COME  INTO EGYPT: AND THE IDOLS OF EGYPT SHALL BE MOVED AT HIS PRESENCE, AND THE HEART OF EGYPT SHALL MELT IN THE MIDST OF IT.
Egypt in Hebrew is "Mitsrayim". Sometimes "Mitsrayim" also refers to Russia but in this case it appears that the actual, State of Egypt is intended.

[Isaiah 19:2] AND I WILL SET THE EGYPTIANS AGAINST THE EGYPTIANS: AND THEY SHALL FIGHT EVERY ONE  AGAINST HIS BROTHER, AND EVERY ONE AGAINST HIS NEIGHBOUR; CITY AGAINST CITY, AND KINGDOM AGAINST KINGDOM.

[Isaiah 19:3] AND THE SPIRIT OF EGYPT SHALL FAIL IN THE MIDST THEREOF; AND I WILL DESTROY THE COUNSEL THEREOF: AND THEY SHALL SEEK TO THE IDOLS, AND TO THE CHARMERS, AND TO THEM THAT HAVE FAMILIAR  SPIRITS, AND TO THE WIZARDS.

[Isaiah 19:4] AND THE EGYPTIANS WILL I GIVE OVER INTO THE HAND OF A CRUEL LORD; AND A FIERCE KING  SHALL RULE OVER THEM, SAITH THE LORD, THE LORD OF HOSTS.

[Isaiah 19:5] AND THE WATERS SHALL FAIL FROM THE SEA, AND THE RIVER SHALL BE WASTED AND DRIED UP.

[Isaiah 19:6] AND THEY SHALL TURN THE RIVERS FAR AWAY; AND THE BROOKS OF DEFENCE SHALL BE EMPTIED AND DRIED UP: THE REEDS AND FLAGS SHALL WITHER.

[Isaiah 19:7] THE PAPER REEDS BY THE BROOKS, BY THE MOUTH OF THE BROOKS, AND EVERY THING SOWN BY THE BROOKS, SHALL WITHER, BE DRIVEN AWAY, AND BE NO MORE.

[Isaiah 19:8] THE FISHERS ALSO SHALL MOURN, AND ALL THEY THAT CAST ANGLE INTO THE BROOKS SHALL LAMENT AND THEY THAT SPREAD NETS UPON THE WATERS SHALL LANGUISH.

[Isaiah 19:9] MOREOVER THEY THAT WORK IN FINE FLAX, AND THEY THAT WEAVE NETWORKS, SHALL BE  CONFOUNDED.

[Isaiah 19:10] AND THEY SHALL BE BROKEN IN THE PURPOSES THEREOF, ALL THAT MAKE SLUICES AND PONDS   FOR FISH.

[Isaiah 19:11] SURELY THE PRINCES OF ZOAN ARE FOOLS, THE COUNSEL OF THE WISE COUNSELLORS OF PHARAOH IS BECOME BRUTISH: HOW SAY YE UNTO PHARAOH, I AM THE SON OF THE WISE, THE SON OF  ANCIENT KINGS"

[Isaiah 19:12] WHERE ARE THEY" WHERE ARE THY WISE MEN" AND LET THEM TELL THEE NOW, AND LET THEM KNOW WHAT THE LORD OF HOSTS HATH PURPOSED UPON EGYPT.

[Isaiah 19:13] THE PRINCES OF ZOAN ARE BECOME FOOLS, THE PRINCES OF NOPH ARE DECEIVED; THEY HAVE ALSO SEDUCED EGYPT, EVEN THEY THAT ARE THE STAY OF THE TRIBES THEREOF.

[Isaiah 19:14] THE LORD HATH MINGLED A PERVERSE SPIRIT IN THE MIDST THEREOF: AND THEY HAVE  CAUSED EGYPT TO ERR IN EVERY WORK THEREOF, AS A DRUNKEN MAN STAGGERETH IN HIS VOMIT.

[Isaiah 19:15] NEITHER SHALL THERE BE ANY WORK FOR EGYPT, WHICH THE HEAD OR TAIL, BRANCH OR RUSH, MAY DO.

[Isaiah 19:16] IN THAT DAY SHALL EGYPT BE LIKE UNTO WOMEN: AND IT SHALL BE AFRAID AND FEAR BECAUSE   OF THE SHAKING OF THE HAND OF THE LORD OF HOSTS, WHICH HE SHAKETH OVER IT.

[Isaiah 19:17] AND THE LAND OF JUDAH SHALL BE A TERROR UNTO EGYPT, EVERY ONE THAT MAKETH MENTION  THEREOF SHALL BE AFRAID IN HIMSELF, BECAUSE OF THE COUNSEL OF THE LORD OF HOSTS, WHICH HE HATH DETERMINED AGAINST IT.
"THE LAND OF JUDAH SHALL BE A TERROR UNTO EGYPT": The land of Judah in effect means the present State of Israel. Egypt is planing the destruction of Israel and arming the Palestinians through a network of tunnels leading into Gaza and through sea-shipments of arms. The Egyptians, Arabs and Muslims are fanatical enemies of the State of Israel and of the Jewish people.  It was nearly always very bad and degrading for the Jews who lived in Muslim countries despite claims to the contrary. Egypt will attempt to destroy "Judah" but the Almighty will protect us and be with us, -if not at once, then at a later stage.

[Isaiah 19:18] IN THAT DAY SHALL FIVE CITIES IN THE LAND OF EGYPT SPEAK THE LANGUAGE OF CANAAN, AND  SWEAR TO THE LORD OF HOSTS; ONE SHALL BE CALLED, THE CITY OF DESTRUCTION.
These cities will belong to Israel.

[Isaiah 19:19] IN THAT DAY SHALL THERE BE AN ALTAR TO THE LORD IN THE MIDST OF THE LAND OF EGYPT, AND A PILLAR AT THE BORDER THEREOF TO THE LORD.
Even the Egyptians will acknowledge the One True God. The Arabs have mixed monotheistic and pagan impulses. Once beaten they have the ability to do an about-face and acknowledge the truth.
There is a
tradition that in the Last days after numerous wars against Israel and Judah then Ishmael (the Arabs) repents and reurtns to the true path.

[Isaiah 19:20] AND IT SHALL BE FOR A SIGN AND FOR A WITNESS UNTO THE LORD OF HOSTS IN THE LAND OF  EGYPT: FOR THEY SHALL CRY UNTO THE LORD BECAUSE OF THE OPPRESSORS, AND HE SHALL SEND THEM A   SAVIOUR, AND A GREAT ONE, AND HE SHALL DELIVER THEM.

[Isaiah 19:21] AND THE LORD SHALL BE KNOWN TO EGYPT, AND THE EGYPTIANS SHALL KNOW THE LORD IN THAT DAY, AND SHALL DO SACRIFICE AND OBLATION; YEA, THEY SHALL VOW A VOW UNTO THE LORD, AND PERFORM IT.

[Isaiah 19:22] AND THE LORD SHALL SMITE EGYPT: HE SHALL SMITE AND HEAL IT: AND THEY SHALL RETURN EVEN TO THE LORD, AND HE SHALL BE INTREATED OF THEM, AND SHALL HEAL THEM.

[Isaiah 19:23] IN THAT DAY SHALL THERE BE A HIGHWAY OUT OF EGYPT TO ASSYRIA, AND THE ASSYRIAN SHALL COME INTO EGYPT, AND THE EGYPTIAN INTO ASSYRIA, AND THE EGYPTIANS SHALL SERVE WITH THE  ASSYRIANS.

[Isaiah 19:24] IN THAT DAY SHALL ISRAEL BE THE THIRD WITH EGYPT AND WITH ASSYRIA, EVEN A BLESSING IN  THE MIDST OF THE LAND:

[Isaiah 19:25] WHOM THE LORD OF HOSTS SHALL BLESS, SAYING, BLESSED BE EGYPT MY PEOPLE, AND   ASSYRIA THE WORK OF MY HANDS, AND ISRAEL MINE INHERITANCE.

Isaiah -Chapter 20
[Isaiah 20:1] IN THE YEAR THAT TARTAN CAME UNTO ASHDOD, (WHEN SARGON THE KING OF ASSYRIA SENT HIM,) AND FOUGHT AGAINST ASHDOD, AND TOOK IT;
TARTAN denotes a very high ranking official in Assyria. Tartan design in Scotland also denoted rank. Joseph wore a tartan cloak which denoted rank which was why his brothers were jealous of him. Tamar the daughter of David and apparently all the royal children also wore tartan decorated clothes. Some of the Jewish reistance fighters against the Romans at the  fortress of Masada wore wooled clothing imported from Britain with a tartan design. We have written of this in our work "Lost Israelite Identity".

[Isaiah 20:2] AT THE SAME TIME SPAKE THE LORD BY  ISAIAH THE SON OF AMOZ, SAYING, GO AND LOOSE THE SACKCLOTH FROM OFF THY LOINS, AND PUT OFF THY SHOE FROM THY FOOT. AND HE DID SO, WALKING  NAKED AND BAREFOOT.

 [Isaiah 20:3] AND THE LORD SAID, LIKE AS MY SERVANT ISAIAH HATH WALKED NAKED AND BAREFOOT THREE YEARS FOR A SIGN AND WONDER UPON EGYPT AND UPON ETHIOPIA;
"ETHIOPIA" in Hebrew is "Cush". The Aramaic does not translate Cush here as Hodu (India) but leaves it as it is indicating that the Sudan or Ethiopia or Africa in general is indicated.
We have emphasized often the Rabbinical Principle that only Prophecies that were pertinent to the Last days were written down. The Prophets dressed future prophecy in descriptions of events that had taken place or were about to do so. It is in the minor deviations from what actually happened that we glimpse the future message. Here Isaiah is describing something that more or less happened
about 40 to 50 years after his time. He is also describing something that will happen in the future. We must understand what he is saying on both levels.
"Egypt" (Hebrew:
Mitsrayim) can also refer to Russia and "Cush" to India or Central Asia.
Some of the Assyrians did settle in parts of Germany as described very well by Craig White.
Perhaps the Europeans or Germans will take captive slave labor from Russia and Central Asia and/or India?

[Isaiah 20:4] SO SHALL THE KING OF ASSYRIA LEAD AWAY THE EGYPTIANS PRISONERS, AND THE ETHIOPIANS  CAPTIVES, YOUNG AND OLD, NAKED AND BAREFOOT, EVEN WITH THEIR BUTTOCKS UNCOVERED, TO THE SHAME  OF EGYPT.

[Isaiah 20:5] AND THEY SHALL BE AFRAID AND ASHAMED OF ETHIOPIA THEIR EXPECTATION, AND OF EGYPT  THEIR GLORY.

[Isaiah 20:6] AND THE INHABITANT OF THIS ISLE SHALL SAY IN THAT DAY, BEHOLD, SUCH IS OUR EXPECTATION, WHITHER WE FLEE FOR HELP TO BE DELIVERED FROM THE KING OF ASSYRIA: AND HOW SHALL WE ESCAPE?
"THIS ISLE": In Hebrew "ey", the same word for "island" as in the Old Anglo-Saxon and Celtic languages. It means island. The Commentators say it refers to the Land of Israel which is on the coast and an entity in its own right. It is therefore (they say) "like an island". This explanation is farfetched. Some say it refers to Cyprus which was once ruled by Israelites from the Tribe of Dan. The Assyrians termed Cyrpus "Ydnna" or the Isle of the Dananites. It could refer to Britain which is an island. If the Europeans and Germany ever did finish off Russia, Britain ("THIS ISLE"?) would be dismayed since the balance of power would worsen against her.
