1. Question: Is the Great Seal of the USA a Masonic Symbol?
Answer: The Great Seal is probably not derived from Masonic symbolism but even if it was it would not matter much.
Contrary to Popular Belief and masonic imaginings Freemasonry as we know it only really began in the 1700s. The early adherents of Freemasonry were middle-class intellectuals steeped in the same ideas and interests as the Founding Fathers of the USA. They could quite easily have both identified with the same principles and seen significance in the same symbols without necessarily having belonged to the same clubs.
But if they did (and I doubt it), what of it? The important thing is the actual symbol that was chosen and its significance from a Brit-Am perspective.

The reverse side of the Great Seal of the U.S.A. (as depicted in the Dollar bill) shows a pyramid, and a single-eye said to suggest the eye of Providence. A PYRAMID is also a typical representation of Egypt and according to Oral Tradition (Numbers Rabah 2;5) the Tribe of Joseph had a picture of Egypt for their Tribal Standard. When you see a pyramid you think of Egypt.
The eye above the pyramid also is connected to Joseph according to the Hebrew Bible.
The Significance of the Eye on the Great Seal of the USA:
[Deuteronomy 33:28] ISRAEL THEN SHALL DWELL IN SAFETY ALONE: THE FOUNTAIN OF JACOB SHALL BE UPON A LAND OF CORN AND WINE; ALSO HIS HEAVENS SHALL DROP DOWN DEW.
“CORN AND WINE” – agricultural bounty. The nations we have identified as containing significant numbers of Israelites all dwell in areas that have beneficial climates, envigorating environments, and fertile soils.
"THE FOUNTAIN OF JACOB": In Hebrew "Ayin Yaacob" which can also mean "the Eye of Jacob" perhaps referring to the All-Seeing Eye of Providence depicted on the US Great Seal?

[Genesis 49:22] JOSEPH IS A FRUITFUL BOUGH, EVEN A FRUITFUL BOUGH BY A WELL; WHOSE BRANCHES RUN OVER THE WALL:
"A FRUITFUL BOUGH": In Hebrew "Ben Porat" which can also mean "A Powerfully Fertile Son" or "A Son of Power". In the Hebrew Bible when several meanings are possible it is often deliberate and ALL the different meanings are intended.
"BY A WELL in Hebrew: "ali ayin" which can also mean above (al) the eye (ayin).
We thus have a "Powerful Son" overseen by the Eye of Providence as depicted on the Great Seal overlooking the Pyramid (Picture of Egypt) symbol of Joseph ( Midrash Numbers Rabah 2;5).

8. Question: Who has the right to bear Coats of Arms?
Answer: According to Betty Matteson in the USA and Ireland there is no limitation whatsoever as to who can bear arms. In Britain arms cannot be borne by those who did not inherit them if they are exact replicas of existing ones. Otherwise here too there is no problem. From the moral point of view I guess it is dependent as to what effect is intended by the bearer of arms. There is no problem with the family Coats of Arms designed by Betty Matteson and depicted in the Brit-Am Genealogy section of our web-site since these are original designs that Betty made based on traditions, precedents, and previous prototypes of the families involved.
