1. Messiah son of Joseph
God says that HE will send HIS messenger before HIM to prepare the way and rebuild the Temple (Malachi 3:1). Rav
Saadia Gaon (b. ca. 890 CE) and Iben
Ezra (1080-1164 CE) said that the MESSENGER is the Messiah son of Joseph. The Messiah son of Joseph, according to the
Malbim (1809-1879) and others will be
the future head of the Lost Ten Tribes when they return to re-unite with Judah.

Fit the Biblical Criteria of Joseph
2. Was Cyrus an Israelite?
Cyrus was the ruler of Persia.
He belonged to the Pasargadae who were a small clan that had gained control of Persia. One explanation
of the name Pasargadae is "Pasar-Gadae" which
in the Aramaic dialect of that time meant "Sons-of-Gad" (Le Comte de Gobineau. "Histoire Des Perses",
Paris 1869). Groups from the Israelite
tribe of Gad were scattered through Persia as well as being prominent amongst the Gutae (Goths) who
at that stages were on the northern
borders of Persia, as explained from Ancient Sources in "The Tribes". It is therefore more than likely that the Pasargadae were at least in part originally descended
from Gad (Pasar-Gadae). Cyrus may well ahve been of Israelite descent.
Another legend claims that Cyrus was the son of Queen Esther and King Ahaseurus.
3. Historical Prototypes
Isaiah in chapters 43, 44, and
45 spoke of Cyrus and of Israel and of Cush, Egypt, and Saba. It is often conventionally accepted
to assume that on the whole the entire
section is referring to Cyrus. This is not so. The verses may be applicable to a degree to Cyrus but he was not
the primary motif intended. We have
shown (Biblical Proofs Nos. 31, 32, 33: Egypt, Africa, and India) that the verses connected with Cyrus are referring
to a future age in the end times concerning
the Lost Ten Tribes. Isaiah used the
figure of Cyrus as a prototype. Cyrus represents the Messiah son of Joseph who will precede and whose time
will overlap with that of the Messiah
son of David. The Messiah son of Joseph will lead the Lost Ten Tribes in the Latter Days. He will also come
to fulfill and epitomize a process that
will have already been started by those who preceded him. Just as Napoleon brought to their highest
expression ambitions that had been nurtured
by the French Monarchy and then released by the French Revolution so too will the Messiah son of Joseph
represent a culmination of tendencies,
emotions, and spiritual energies that will have begun before his time.
BY EXAMINING WHICH NATIONAL GROUPINGS
HAVE BEGUN TO FULFILL AND GIVE EXPRESSION
TO CHARACTERISTICS ASSOCIATED WITH THE MESSIAH SON OF JOSEPH WE MAY FURTHER DISCERN IN WHAT AREAS THE LOST TEN TRIBES
WILL BE AT THE END TIMES. Isaiah switched
from Cyrus to Israel in the same verses as may be seen in the text, in the Hebrew original, and according to the
explanation of the sages.
4. Rabbi Eliyahu of Vilna
The historical Cyrus in Isaiah
serves as a figure representing the Messiah son of Joseph and the Ten Tribes in general. This explanation
is born out from a work written more
than 200 years ago recording the opinion of Eliyahu of Vilna who is considered one of the greatest
Rabbinical sages who ever lived.
The Messiah son of Joseph was linked
with Ephraim and with Cyrus in the work,
Kol HaTor (Voice of the Turtle Dove) based on the sayings of Eliyahu of Vilna, 1.8.3:
This speaks of Ephraim meaning
the Messiah son of Joseph,
A LITTLE ONE SHALL BECOME A
THOUSAND, AND A SMALL ONE A STRONG NATION:
I THE LORD WILL HASTEN IT IN HIS TIME.
Cyrus has the task of the Messiah
son of Joseph.
[THAT SAITH OF CYRUS, HE
IS MY SHEPHERD, AND] he SHALL PERFORM ALL MY PLEASURE.

5. President Truman
President Truman supported the
establishment of the State of Israel and identified himself with Cyrus. He represented the forces
of Joseph in the End Times.

David Koppel: Religious Fright
In the latest issue of Books &
Culture, a Christian book review monthly, Gerald McDermott details the role of Truman's Southern
Baptist faith in his Israel policy.
While mainline Protestants (with some important exceptions, such as Schlesinger's friend Reinhold
Niebuhr) tended to disparage Zionist
hopes for a Jewish state, religious conservatives (a group that included people like Truman who were not
necessarily political conservatives)
rejoiced in Zionist aspirations as the fulfillment of prophecy and the just restoration of the Jewish homeland
which God had promised the Jews by sacred
covenant. Only hours after the declaration
of the State of Israel, President Truman overrode the objections of the State Department and
the War Department, and made the United
States the first nation to grant recognition to Israel. Truman used American clout to convince the U.N. to recognize
Israel, too. When ceasefire lines were
being drawn after the failed Arab war to exterminate the Jews, Truman insisted that Israel have
the Negev, which more than doubled Israel's
territory. Israelis believed that without Truman they would not have survived. As recounted in the Second Book of Chronicles, in the
6th century B.C. the Jewish kingdom
was conquered by the Babylonian Empire, the Temple was destroyed, and the Jews were carried into Babylonian
captivity. Half a century later, the
Babylonian Empire was overthrown by the Persian Empire of Cyrus the Great. Cyrus allowed the Jews to return
to their holy land:
In the first year of Cyrus king
of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD spoken by Jeremiah, the LORD moved the heart
of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation
throughout his realm and to put it in
writing: "This is what Cyrus king of Persia says: 'The LORD , the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and
he has appointed me to build a temple
for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Anyone of his people among you may the LORD his God be with him, and let him go
up.'" Paul Charles Merkley's book, The
Politics of Christian Zionism: 1891-1948, describes a meeting in 1949, at the end of Truman's presidency,
between Truman and the chief rabbi of
Israel: The rabbi went on to assert:
"God put you in your mother's womb so you would be the instrument to bring about Israel's rebirth
after two thousand years." We are told
by a witness that, "On hearing these words, Truman rose from his chair and, with great emotion, tears glistening
in his eyes, he turned to the Chief
Rabbi and asked him if his actions for the sake of the Jewish people were indeed to be interpreted thus and
the hand of the Almighty was in the
matter." A few months later, retired
President Truman was honored at the Jewish Theological Seminary. One of Truman's friends introduced
him to the professors as "the man who
helped create the State of Israel."
Truman said, "What do you mean 'helped
to create'? I am Cyrus. I am Cyrus."

recovered : Victorian intellectuals and the birth of Modern Zionism, Westport (Conn.): Praeger, 1995, Moshe Davis has left us record of a visit which Harry
Truman made a few months after the end
of his Presidency to the Jewish Theological Seminary, together with Truman's friend, Eddie Jacobson. Jacobson
introduced Harry Truman to the professors:
'This is the man who helped create the State of Israel', but Truman corrected him: 'What do you mean
"helped to create"? I am Cyrus. I am
Cyrus.' It seems that the analogy to
Cyrus had already been suggested to President Truman by the Chief Rabbi of Israel, Isaac Halevi Herzog,
on the occasion of a visit to him in
the White House early in 1949. The rabbi went on to assert: 'God put you in your mother's womb so you would
be the instrument to bring about Israel's
rebirth after two thousand years.' We are told by a witness that, 'On hearing these words, Truman rose from
his chair and, with great emotion, tears
glistening in his eyes, he turned to the Chief Rabbi and asked him if his actions for the sake of the Jewish
people were indeed to be interpreted
thus and the hand of the Almighty was in the matter'.
These words of Truman's - 'I am
Cyrus' - were uttered neither casually nor ironically. We must take them with the fullest seriousness,
and when we do, we will have the key
to understanding Truman's constant pro-Zionism.
Harry Truman frequently turned
over the name of 'Cyrus the Great' as he rehearsed the names of the 'Great Men of History'- a
mental exercise which he performed regularly,
as a concert pianist performs scales. The American democratic process, he knew, had put him in the place
where Cyrus redivivus was expected.
His awareness of all this is what explains the consistency of his refusal to allow himself to be worn down by the
emotional and sometimes brutal arguments
of the Zionists, fully as much as it explains his serenity in the face of the arguments from anti-Zionist Jews,
the pro-Arab blandishments coming from
the State Department, the 'realistic' military judgments coming from George Marshall and George Kennan,
and the economic-geopolitical arguments
of James Forrestal. To doubt his personal
fitness for this great role would have been the same as to doubt the fitness of the American political system
which had put him in place. To set his
own name at the end of that long catalogue of the Great Men (in which Cyrus always figured) was not,
he believed, an act of vanity, but a
requirement of fidelity to received religion and to his own self-confidence as a student of history.
in Isaiah concerning Cyrus
BUT NOW SO SAYS THE LORD THAT CREATED YOU,
O JACOB, AND HE
THAT FORMED YOU, O ISRAEL, FEAR NOT; FOR
I HAVE REDEEMED YOU, I HAVE CALLED
YOU BY YOUR NAME;
YOU ARE MINE.
This concerns the rebuilding of
Jerusalem and of the Temple.
THAT SAITH OF CYRUS, HE IS MY SHEPHERD, AND SHALL PERFORM
ALL MY PLEASURE: EVEN SAYING TO JERUSALEM,
THOU SHALT BE BUILT; AND TO THE
TEMPLE, THY FOUNDATION
SHALL BE LAID.
They will return and reclaim their heritance
and acknowledge their Israelite descent.
THY FIRST FATHER HATH SINNED, AND THY TEACHERS HAVE TRANSGRESSED AGAINST ME.
THEREFORE I HAVE PROFANED THE PRINCES OF THE SANCTUARY, AND
HAVE GIVEN JACOB TO THE CURSE, AND ISRAEL
YET NOW HEAR, O JACOB MY SERVANT; AND ISRAEL, WHOM I HAVE CHOSEN:
THUS SAITH THE LORD THAT MADE THEE, AND FORMED THEE FROM
THE WOMB, WHICH WILL HELP THEE; FEAR NOT,
O JACOB, MY SERVANT; AND THOU,
JESURUN, WHOM I HAVE CHOSEN.
FOR I WILL POUR WATER UPON HIM THAT IS THIRSTY, AND FLOODS
UPON THE DRY GROUND: I WILL POUR MY SPIRIT
UPON THY SEED, AND MY BLESSING UPON THINE
AND THEY SHALL SPRING UP AS AMONG THE GRASS, AS WILLOWS BY THE WATER COURSES.
ONE SHALL SAY, I AM THE LORD'S; AND ANOTHER SHALL CALL HIMSELF BY THE NAME OF JACOB; AND ANOTHER SHALL SUBSCRIBE
WITH HIS HAND UNTO THE LORD, AND SURNAME
HIMSELF BY THE NAME OF ISRAEL.
Isaiah (44:9-20 ) continues to condemn the
practice of idolatry.
THUS SAITH THE LORD THE KING OF ISRAEL, AND HIS REDEEMER THE LORD OF HOSTS; I AM THE FIRST, AND I AM THE LAST;
AND BESIDE ME THERE IS NO GOD.
AND WHO, AS I, SHALL CALL, AND SHALL DECLARE IT, AND SET IT IN ORDER FOR ME, SINCE I APPOINTED THE ANCIENT PEOPLE?
AND THE THINGS THAT ARE COMING, AND SHALL
COME, LET THEM SHEW UNTO THEM.
FEAR YE NOT, NEITHER BE AFRAID: HAVE NOT I TOLD THEE FROM THAT TIME, AND HAVE DECLARED IT? YE ARE EVEN MY WITNESSES.
IS THERE A GOD BESIDE ME? YEA, THERE
IS NO GOD; I KNOW NOT ANY.
Isaiah (44:22-25 ) speaks of the forgiveness
of the sins of Israel.
REMEMBER THESE, O JACOB AND ISRAEL; FOR THOU ART MY SERVANT: I HAVE FORMED THEE; THOU ART MY SERVANT: O ISRAEL, THOU
SHALT NOT BE FORGOTTEN OF ME.
[Isaiah 44:26] THAT CONFIRMETH THE WORD
OF HIS SERVANT, AND PERFORMETH THE COUNSEL
OF HIS MESSENGERS; THAT SAITH TO JERUSALEM, THOU SHALT BE INHABITED; AND TO THE CITIES OF JUDAH, YE SHALL BE BUILT,
AND I WILL RAISE UP
THE DECAYED PLACES THEREOF:
Rebuilding of the Land centered on Jerusalem (meaning the present state
of Israel) is emphasized.
Cyrus (Isaiah 45:2-13
) is promised help from the Almighty, power and great riches. Cyrus is taken to embody all the Lost Tribes of
Israel who have not known the Almighty
yet they fulfill His historical will.
THAT SAITH OF CYRUS, HE IS MY SHEPHERD, AND SHALL PERFORM ALL MY PLEASURE: EVEN SAYING TO JERUSALEM, THOU SHALT
BE BUILT; AND TO THE TEMPLE, THY FOUNDATION
SHALL BE LAID.
THUS SAITH THE LORD TO HIS ANOINTED, TO CYRUS, WHOSE RIGHT HAND I HAVE HOLDEN, TO SUBDUE NATIONS BEFORE HIM; AND
I WILL LOOSE THE LOINS OF KINGS, TO OPEN
BEFORE HIM THE TWO LEAVED GATES; AND THE GATES SHALL NOT BE SHUT;
As we have explained the above
verse may be understood as saying: That
which comes to Egypt [via the Suez Canal], the trade of India [Cush],
and of the Sabeans [of negro Africa],
shall come over [the sea] unto you. They will be yours, in chains they will come unto you. This was fulfilled by the British and Americans.
THUS SAITH THE LORD, THE LABOUR OF
EGYPT, AND MERCHANDISE OF ETHIOPIA AND
OF THE SABEANS, MEN OF STATURE, SHALL COME OVER UNTO THEE, AND THEY SHALL BE THINE: THEY SHALL COME AFTER
THEE; IN CHAINS THEY SHALL COME OVER,
AND THEY SHALL FALL DOWN UNTO THEE, THEY SHALL MAKE SUPPLICATION UNTO THEE, SAYING,
SURELY GOD IS IN THEE; AND THERE IS
NONE ELSE, THERE IS NO GOD.
[Isaiah 45:15] VERILY THOU ART
A GOD THAT HIDEST THYSELF, O GOD OF
ISRAEL, THE SAVIOUR.
The Lost Tribes in Britain were
linked with a God who hides Himself as explained in our work Ephraim.
Isaiah (45:16-18) continues to
condemn the practitioners of idolatry,
apparently speaking of the End Times
[Isaiah 45:19] I HAVE NOT SPOKEN IN
SECRET, IN A DARK PLACE OF THE EARTH: I SAID NOT UNTO THE SEED OF JACOB, SEEK YE ME IN VAIN:
I THE LORD SPEAK RIGHTEOUSNESS, I DECLARE THINGS THAT ARE RIGHT.
It is worth reading all the rest
of Isaiah chapter 45 and chapter 46 since they continue the same theme.
Only Brit-Am Nations Fit the Biblical
Criteria of Joseph. Whether you accept
the idea of the Messiah son of Joseph and of Cyrus as being his prototype or not, the verses surrounding the
mention of Cyrus in the Bible definitely
are speaking of the end times. They definitely concern Israel in the future and they correlate with all other
passages in the Bible dealing with the
Lost Ten Tribes in the End Times. We see from these and other verses that the forces of Joseph will be involved
in the ingathering of Judah centered
on Jerusalem and the rebuilding of the cities and settlements of Judah. This is spoken of as a blessing,
a promise, and a duty. They are also
connected with the building of the future Temple. These activities will PRECEDE the redemption and ingathering
of the Lost Ten Tribes themselves.
We are entering the End Times and
the ONLY nations that have supported the Jews and helped enable the State of Israel to exist are
those identified by Brit-Am as containing
significant numbers of Lost Israelites from the the Lost Ten Tribes.
