THE KOTEL [The Western Wall]

 (December, 2004)

I stare at the wall - does it stare back?
For how many hours - does it keep track?
This one doesn't - it's just a wall
In days to come, it will crumble & fall
But over the ocean in a land far away
My mind travels back to a not so distant day
Then too I sat staring for hours on end
Staring through the letters that people would send
& each single second that anyone's there
Is recorded upon the stones wrinkled & bare
Bore witness the grooves & the marks & the cracks
Of the hands & the tears & foreheads & bent backs
That for thousands of years have wailed by the wall
Where each second counts, where the stones never fall
For now I just sit here & wish I were there
Languished in exile, my minds' empty stare
Good Lord when will you get me out of this place
& carry me back to that scarred sacred wall face?

'It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God or the Bible.'
  George Washington

Brit-Am, the Ten Tribes of Israel Movement, is the "still small voice" that contains the truth.
[1-Kings 19:12] AND AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE A FIRE; BUT THE LORD WAS NOT IN THE FIRE: AND AFTER THE FIRE A STILL SMALL VOICE.
