Ezekiel 41
Ezekiel in this and the next chapter continues his description of the Third 
Temple. We have little to say at the moment on these matters only that we hope 
that the Temple will be rebuilt shortly. We have also pointed out from times to 
time the possibility that the return of the Ten Tribes and especially of Joseph 
is connected with the rebuilding of the Third Temple. This is also the opinion 
of the Midrash 
and of various commentators as we have pointed out from time to time.   A 
prerequisite for the return of the Lost Ten Tribes is their correct 
identification. They themselves must know who they are and Judah must also be 
made aware of this fact. Brit-Am is doing what it can in this regard and is in a 
unique position to do very much more. Help Brit-Am: By helping Brit-Am you will 
be fulfilling the will of the Almighty as expressed in the Bible. You will be 
furthering awareness of the inner truth we all subconsciously recognize. You 
will be helping us and yourself and all our peoples. And Brit-Am is indeed in 
need of assistance. 
 
[Ezekiel 41:1] AFTERWARD HE BROUGHT ME TO THE TEMPLE, AND MEASURED THE POSTS, 
SIX CUBITS  BROAD ON THE ONE SIDE, AND SIX CUBITS BROAD ON THE OTHER SIDE, WHICH 
WAS THE BREADTH OF THE TABERNACLE.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:2] AND THE BREADTH OF THE DOOR WAS TEN CUBITS; AND THE SIDES OF THE 
DOOR WERE FIVE CUBITS ON THE ONE SIDE, AND FIVE CUBITS ON THE OTHER SIDE: AND HE 
MEASURED THE LENGTH THEREOF, FORTY CUBITS: AND THE BREADTH, TWENTY 
CUBITS.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:3] THEN WENT HE INWARD, AND MEASURED THE POST OF THE DOOR, TWO 
CUBITS; AND THE DOOR, SIX CUBITS; AND THE BREADTH OF THE DOOR, SEVEN 
CUBITS.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:4] SO HE MEASURED THE LENGTH THEREOF, TWENTY CUBITS; AND THE 
BREADTH, TWENTY  CUBITS, BEFORE THE TEMPLE: AND HE SAID UNTO ME, THIS IS THE 
MOST HOLY PLACE.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:5] AFTER HE MEASURED THE WALL OF THE HOUSE, SIX CUBITS; AND THE 
BREADTH OF EVERY SIDE CHAMBER, FOUR CUBITS, ROUND ABOUT THE HOUSE ON EVERY 
SIDE.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:6] AND THE SIDE CHAMBERS WERE THREE, ONE OVER ANOTHER, AND THIRTY IN 
ORDER; AND  THEY ENTERED INTO THE WALL WHICH WAS OF THE HOUSE FOR THE SIDE 
CHAMBERS ROUND ABOUT, THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE HOLD, BUT THEY HAD NOT HOLD IN THE 
WALL OF THE HOUSE.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:7] AND THERE WAS AN ENLARGING, AND A WINDING ABOUT STILL UPWARD TO 
THE SIDE CHAMBERS: FOR THE WINDING ABOUT OF THE HOUSE WENT STILL UPWARD ROUND 
ABOUT THE HOUSE: THEREFORE THE BREADTH OF THE HOUSE WAS STILL UPWARD, AND SO 
INCREASED FROM THE LOWEST CHAMBER TO THE HIGHEST BY THE 
MIDST.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:8] I SAW ALSO THE HEIGHT OF THE HOUSE ROUND ABOUT: THE FOUNDATIONS 
OF THE SIDE  CHAMBERS WERE A FULL REED OF SIX GREAT CUBITS.                     
 
[Ezekiel 41:9] THE THICKNESS OF THE WALL, WHICH WAS FOR THE SIDE CHAMBER 
WITHOUT, WAS FIVE  CUBITS: AND THAT WHICH WAS LEFT WAS THE PLACE OF THE SIDE 
CHAMBERS THAT WERE WITHIN.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:10] AND BETWEEN THE CHAMBERS WAS THE WIDENESS OF TWENTY CUBITS ROUND 
ABOUT  THE HOUSE ON EVERY SIDE.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:11] AND THE DOORS OF THE SIDE CHAMBERS WERE TOWARD THE PLACE THAT 
WAS LEFT,  ONE DOOR TOWARD THE NORTH, AND ANOTHER DOOR TOWARD THE SOUTH: AND THE 
BREADTH OF THE   PLACE THAT WAS LEFT WAS FIVE CUBITS ROUND 
ABOUT.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:12] NOW THE BUILDING THAT WAS BEFORE THE SEPARATE PLACE AT THE END 
TOWARD THE  WEST WAS SEVENTY CUBITS BROAD; AND THE WALL OF THE BUILDING WAS FIVE 
CUBITS THICK ROUND  ABOUT, AND THE LENGTH THEREOF NINETY 
CUBITS.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:13] SO HE MEASURED THE HOUSE, AN HUNDRED CUBITS LONG; AND THE 
SEPARATE PLACE,  AND THE BUILDING, WITH THE WALLS THEREOF, AN HUNDRED CUBITS 
LONG;                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:14] ALSO THE BREADTH OF THE FACE OF THE HOUSE, AND OF THE SEPARATE 
PLACE TOWARD   THE EAST, AN HUNDRED CUBITS.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:15] AND HE MEASURED THE LENGTH OF THE BUILDING OVER AGAINST THE 
SEPARATE PLACE   WHICH WAS BEHIND IT, AND THE GALLERIES THEREOF ON THE ONE SIDE 
AND ON THE OTHER SIDE, AN  HUNDRED CUBITS, WITH THE INNER TEMPLE, AND THE 
PORCHES OF THE COURT;                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:16] THE DOOR POSTS, AND THE NARROW WINDOWS, AND THE GALLERIES ROUND 
ABOUT ON  THEIR THREE STORIES, OVER AGAINST THE DOOR, CIELED WITH WOOD ROUND 
ABOUT, AND FROM THE  GROUND UP TO THE WINDOWS, AND THE WINDOWS WERE 
COVERED;                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:17] TO THAT ABOVE THE DOOR, EVEN UNTO THE INNER HOUSE, AND WITHOUT, 
AND BY THE ENTIRE WALL ROUND ABOUT WITHIN AND WITHOUT, BY 
MEASURE.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:18] AND IT WAS MADE WITH CHERUBIMS AND PALM TREES, SO THAT A PALM 
TREE WAS BETWEEN A CHERUB AND A CHERUB; AND EVERY CHERUB HAD TWO 
FACES;

[Ezekiel 41:19] SO THAT THE FACE OF A MAN WAS TOWARD THE PALM TREE ON THE ONE 
SIDE, AND THE FACE OF A YOUNG LION TOWARD THE PALM TREE ON THE OTHER SIDE: IT 
WAS MADE THROUGH ALL THE  HOUSE ROUND ABOUT.        
Each cherub had two faces (a face of a 
lion and a face of man) pointing in different directions. The whole length of 
the walls was decorated with these two-faced cherubs 
insterpersed 
with the figure of palm trees            
 
[Ezekiel 41:20] FROM THE GROUND UNTO ABOVE THE DOOR WERE CHERUBIMS AND PALM 
TREES MADE, AND ON THE WALL OF THE TEMPLE.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:21] THE POSTS OF THE TEMPLE WERE SQUARED, AND THE FACE OF THE 
SANCTUARY; THE   APPEARANCE OF THE ONE AS THE APPEARANCE OF THE 
OTHER.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:22] THE ALTAR OF WOOD WAS THREE CUBITS HIGH, AND THE LENGTH THEREOF 
TWO CUBITS; AND THE CORNERS THEREOF, AND THE LENGTH THEREOF, AND THE WALLS 
THEREOF, WERE OF WOOD: AND  HE SAID UNTO ME, THIS IS THE TABLE THAT IS BEFORE 
THE LORD.

should really obtain illustrations such as are available in books of Commentary.
<<THIS IS THE TABLE THAT IS BEFORE THE LORD: The Temple will be rebuilt in 
Jerusalem and God will make His presence apparent there. Every place is 
different and has its own character. God can be found anywhere but nevertheless 
the world was so made that in certain places Divine Inspiration would be easier 
to obtain.                     
 
[Ezekiel 41:23] AND THE TEMPLE AND THE SANCTUARY HAD TWO 
DOORS.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:24] AND THE DOORS HAD TWO LEAVES APIECE, TWO TURNING LEAVES; TWO 
LEAVES FOR THE ONE DOOR, AND TWO LEAVES FOR THE OTHER DOOR.                     
 
[Ezekiel 41:25] AND THERE WERE MADE ON THEM, ON THE DOORS OF THE TEMPLE, 
CHERUBIMS AND   PALM TREES, LIKE AS WERE MADE UPON THE WALLS; AND THERE WERE 
THICK PLANKS UPON THE FACE OF THE PORCH WITHOUT.                      
 
[Ezekiel 41:26] AND THERE WERE NARROW WINDOWS AND PALM TREES ON THE ONE SIDE AND 
ON THE OTHER SIDE, ON THE SIDES OF THE PORCH, AND UPON THE SIDE CHAMBERS OF THE 
HOUSE, AND THICK   PLANKS.

Ezekiel 42
Continuing our Commentary on Ezekiel we will pass over the present chapter 
without saying anything. The main purpose of this Commentary is to give an 
overall impression and concentrate on points connected directly with the 
identification of the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel.
 
[Ezekiel 42:1] THEN HE BROUGHT ME FORTH INTO THE UTTER COURT, THE WAY TOWARD THE 
NORTH: AND  HE BROUGHT ME INTO THE CHAMBER THAT WAS OVER AGAINST THE SEPARATE 
PLACE, AND WHICH WAS   BEFORE THE BUILDING TOWARD THE 
NORTH.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:2] BEFORE THE LENGTH OF AN HUNDRED CUBITS WAS THE NORTH DOOR, AND 
THE BREADTH  WAS FIFTY CUBITS.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:3] OVER AGAINST THE TWENTY CUBITS WHICH WERE FOR THE INNER COURT, 
AND OVER AGAINST THE PAVEMENT WHICH WAS FOR THE UTTER COURT, WAS GALLERY AGAINST 
GALLERY IN THREE  STORIES.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:4] AND BEFORE THE CHAMBERS WAS A WALK TO TEN CUBITS BREADTH INWARD, 
A WAY OF ONE CUBIT; AND THEIR DOORS TOWARD THE NORTH.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:5] NOW THE UPPER CHAMBERS WERE SHORTER: FOR THE GALLERIES WERE 
HIGHER THAN  THESE, THAN THE LOWER, AND THAN THE MIDDLEMOST OF THE 
BUILDING.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:6] FOR THEY WERE IN THREE STORIES, BUT HAD NOT PILLARS AS THE 
PILLARS OF THE COURTS: THEREFORE THE BUILDING WAS STRAITENED MORE THAN THE 
LOWEST AND THE MIDDLEMOST FROM THE GROUND.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:7] AND THE WALL THAT WAS WITHOUT OVER AGAINST THE CHAMBERS, TOWARD 
THE UTTER  COURT ON THE FOREPART OF THE CHAMBERS, THE LENGTH THEREOF WAS FIFTY 
CUBITS.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:8] FOR THE LENGTH OF THE CHAMBERS THAT WERE IN THE UTTER COURT WAS 
FIFTY CUBITS: AND, LO, BEFORE THE TEMPLE WERE AN HUNDRED 
CUBITS.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:9] AND FROM UNDER THESE CHAMBERS WAS THE ENTRY ON THE EAST SIDE, AS 
ONE GOETH INTO THEM FROM THE UTTER COURT.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:10] THE CHAMBERS WERE IN THE THICKNESS OF THE WALL OF THE COURT 
TOWARD THE EAST, OVER AGAINST THE SEPARATE PLACE, AND OVER AGAINST THE 
BUILDING.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:11] AND THE WAY BEFORE THEM WAS LIKE THE APPEARANCE OF THE CHAMBERS 
WHICH WERE TOWARD THE NORTH, AS LONG AS THEY, AND AS BROAD AS THEY: AND ALL 
THEIR GOINGS OUT WERE BOTH ACCORDING TO THEIR FASHIONS, AND ACCORDING TO THEIR 
DOORS.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:12] AND ACCORDING TO THE DOORS OF THE CHAMBERS THAT WERE TOWARD THE 
SOUTH WAS A DOOR IN THE HEAD OF THE WAY, EVEN THE WAY DIRECTLY BEFORE THE WALL 
TOWARD THE EAST, AS ONE ENTERETH INTO THEM.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:13] THEN SAID HE UNTO ME, THE NORTH CHAMBERS AND THE SOUTH CHAMBERS, 
WHICH ARE BEFORE THE SEPARATE PLACE, THEY BE HOLY CHAMBERS, WHERE THE PRIESTS 
THAT APPROACH UNTO THE LORD SHALL EAT THE MOST HOLY THINGS: THERE SHALL THEY LAY 
THE MOST HOLY THINGS, AND  THE MEAT OFFERING, AND THE SIN OFFERING, AND THE 
TRESPASS OFFERING; FOR THE PLACE IS HOLY.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:14] WHEN THE PRIESTS ENTER THEREIN, THEN SHALL THEY NOT GO OUT OF 
THE HOLY PLACE INTO THE UTTER COURT, BUT THERE THEY SHALL LAY THEIR GARMENTS 
WHEREIN THEY MINISTER; FOR THEY  ARE HOLY; AND SHALL PUT ON OTHER GARMENTS, AND 
SHALL APPROACH TO THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE FOR THE PEOPLE.                     
 
[Ezekiel 42:15] NOW WHEN HE HAD MADE AN END OF MEASURING THE INNER HOUSE, HE 
BROUGHT  ME FORTH TOWARD THE GATE WHOSE PROSPECT IS TOWARD THE EAST, AND 
MEASURED IT ROUND ABOUT.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:16] HE MEASURED THE EAST SIDE WITH THE MEASURING REED, FIVE HUNDRED 
REEDS,  WITH THE MEASURING REED ROUND ABOUT.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:17] HE MEASURED THE NORTH SIDE, FIVE HUNDRED REEDS, WITH THE 
MEASURING REED ROUND ABOUT.

[Ezekiel 42:19] HE TURNED ABOUT TO THE WEST SIDE, AND MEASURED FIVE HUNDRED 
REEDS WITH THE MEASURING REED.                      
 
[Ezekiel 42:20] HE MEASURED IT BY THE FOUR SIDES: IT HAD A WALL ROUND ABOUT, 
FIVE HUNDRED REEDS LONG, AND FIVE HUNDRED BROAD, TO MAKE A SEPARATION BETWEEN 
THE SANCTUARY AND THE PROFANE 
PLACE.

[Ezekiel 43:1] AFTERWARD HE BROUGHT ME TO THE GATE, EVEN THE GATE THAT LOOKETH 
TOWARD THE EAST:                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:2] AND, BEHOLD, THE GLORY OF THE GOD OF ISRAEL CAME FROM THE WAY OF 
THE EAST:  AND HIS VOICE WAS LIKE A NOISE OF MANY WATERS: AND THE EARTH SHINED 
WITH HIS GLORY.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:3] AND IT WAS ACCORDING TO THE APPEARANCE OF THE VISION WHICH I SAW, 
EVEN ACCORDING TO THE VISION THAT I SAW WHEN I CAME TO DESTROY THE CITY: AND THE 
VISIONS WERE LIKE THE VISION THAT I SAW BY THE RIVER CHEBAR; AND I FELL UPON MY 
FACE.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:4] AND THE GLORY OF THE LORD CAME INTO THE HOUSE BY THE WAY OF THE 
GATE   WHOSE PROSPECT IS TOWARD THE EAST.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:5] SO THE SPIRIT TOOK ME UP, AND BROUGHT ME INTO THE INNER COURT; 
AND, BEHOLD, THE GLORY OF THE LORD FILLED THE HOUSE.                      
Ezekiel in a vision is taken into the 
courtyard of the future Temple.
 
[Ezekiel 43:6] AND I HEARD HIM SPEAKING UNTO ME OUT OF THE HOUSE; AND THE MAN 
STOOD BY ME.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:7] AND HE SAID UNTO ME, SON OF MAN, THE PLACE OF MY THRONE, AND THE 
PLACE OF THE SOLES OF MY FEET, WHERE I WILL DWELL IN THE MIDST OF THE CHILDREN 
OF ISRAEL FOR EVER, AND MY HOLY NAME, SHALL THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL NO MORE DEFILE, 
NEITHER THEY, NOR THEIR KINGS, BY THEIR WHOREDOM, NOR BY THE CARCASES OF THEIR 
KINGS IN THEIR HIGH PLACES.  
<<WHERE I WILL DWELL IN THE MIDST OF THE 
CHILDREN OF ISRAEL FOR EVER: God will once again make His presence intensely 
felt in the midst of His people. The center of this feeling will be in the 
future Temple in Jerusalem. God is indeed everywhere and can be (and should be) 
approached from anywhere. Nevertheless, God so wants for reasons of His own that 
His presence should be more intensely accessible from the Holy Land and within 
the Holy land from Jerusalem and within Jerusalem from the future Temple after 
it has been rebuilt.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:8] IN THEIR SETTING OF THEIR THRESHOLD BY MY THRESHOLDS, AND THEIR 
POST BY MY POSTS, AND THE WALL BETWEEN ME AND THEM, THEY HAVE EVEN DEFILED MY 
HOLY NAME BY THEIR ABOMINATIONS THAT THEY HAVE COMMITTED: WHEREFORE I HAVE 
CONSUMED THEM IN MINE ANGER.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:9] NOW LET THEM PUT AWAY THEIR WHOREDOM, AND THE CARCASES OF THEIR 
KINGS, FAR  FROM ME, AND I WILL DWELL IN THE MIDST OF THEM FOR 
EVER.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:10] THOU SON OF MAN, SHEW THE HOUSE TO THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, THAT 
THEY MAY BE  ASHAMED OF THEIR INIQUITIES: AND LET THEM MEASURE THE 
PATTERN.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:11] AND IF THEY BE ASHAMED OF ALL THAT THEY HAVE DONE, SHEW THEM THE 
FORM OF THE HOUSE, AND THE FASHION THEREOF, AND THE GOINGS OUT THEREOF, AND THE 
COMINGS IN THEREOF, AND ALL THE FORMS THEREOF, AND ALL THE ORDINANCES THEREOF, 
AND ALL THE FORMS THEREOF, AND ALL  THE LAWS THEREOF: AND WRITE IT IN THEIR 
SIGHT, THAT THEY MAY KEEP THE WHOLE FORM THEREOF, AND ALL THE ORDINANCES 
THEREOF, AND DO THEM.  
 <<ASHAMED OF ALL THAT THEY HAVE DONE: 
We have all sinned. Both "Judah" and "Israel" (the Ten Tribes) have offended 
grievously. We all must repent. On a national level the fact that the Temple was 
destroyed and has not yet been rebuilt is somehow due to the sins of both Houses 
of Israel. The Return of the Lost Ten tribes is connected with the rebuilding of 
the Temple. As long as this does not take place indicates that we are lacking 
and have not repented sufficiently of our misdeeds and wrong attitudes both as 
individuals and as communities. The Spread of Brit-Am identity knowledge is a 
first step in national repentance. It is an obligation. We all have a duty to do 
the utmost we can to help spread this knowledge.                   
 
[Ezekiel 43:12] THIS IS THE LAW OF THE HOUSE; UPON THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN THE 
WHOLE LIMIT THEREOF ROUND ABOUT SHALL BE MOST HOLY. BEHOLD, THIS IS THE LAW OF 
THE HOUSE.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:13] AND THESE ARE THE MEASURES OF THE ALTAR AFTER THE CUBITS: THE 
CUBIT IS A CUBIT AND AN HAND BREADTH; EVEN THE BOTTOM SHALL BE A CUBIT, AND THE 
BREADTH A CUBIT, AND THE BORDER THEREOF BY THE EDGE THEREOF ROUND ABOUT SHALL BE 
A SPAN: AND THIS SHALL BE THE HIGHER PLACE OF THE ALTAR.                     
 
[Ezekiel 43:14] AND FROM THE BOTTOM UPON THE GROUND EVEN TO THE LOWER SETTLE 
SHALL BE TWO CUBITS, AND THE BREADTH ONE CUBIT; AND FROM THE LESSER SETTLE EVEN 
TO THE GREATER SETTLE SHALL BE FOUR CUBITS, AND THE BREADTH ONE 
CUBIT.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:15] SO THE ALTAR SHALL BE FOUR CUBITS; AND FROM THE ALTAR AND UPWARD 
SHALL BE FOUR HORNS.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:16] AND THE ALTAR SHALL BE TWELVE CUBITS LONG, TWELVE BROAD, SQUARE 
IN THE FOUR SQUARES THEREOF.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:17] AND THE SETTLE SHALL BE FOURTEEN CUBITS LONG AND FOURTEEN BROAD 
IN THE FOUR SQUARES THEREOF; AND THE BORDER ABOUT IT SHALL BE HALF A CUBIT; AND 
THE BOTTOM THEREOF SHALL BE A CUBIT ABOUT; AND HIS STAIRS SHALL LOOK TOWARD THE 
EAST.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:18] AND HE SAID UNTO ME, SON OF MAN, THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD; THESE 
ARE THE ORDINANCES OF THE ALTAR IN THE DAY WHEN THEY SHALL MAKE IT, TO OFFER 
BURNT OFFERINGS THEREON, AND TO SPRINKLE BLOOD THEREON.

[Ezekiel 43:26] SEVEN DAYS SHALL THEY PURGE THE ALTAR AND PURIFY IT; AND THEY 
SHALL CONSECRATE THEMSELVES.                      
 
[Ezekiel 43:27] AND WHEN THESE DAYS ARE EXPIRED, IT SHALL BE, THAT UPON THE 
EIGHTH DAY, AND SO FORWARD, THE PRIESTS SHALL MAKE YOUR BURNT OFFERINGS UPON THE 
ALTAR, AND YOUR PEACE  OFFERINGS; AND I WILL ACCEPT YOU, SAITH THE LORD GOD. 
<<AND I WILL ACCEPT YOU: We will cause 
offerings to be made in the future Temple and these shall atone for our sins and 
shortcomings. This is a psychological factor in repentance. We do something bad 
because we allow lust, or bad mood, or even carelessness to overtake us. In 
principle if we repent we can be forgiven. It is not always so easy however. It 
is often difficult to feel really sorry for what we have done. We can never be 
sure that we would not do the same thing, or something worse, in similar 
circumstances. Also, we do not always realize the gravity of what we have done 
or we cannot be sure how much of what happened was our own fault and how much 
was beyond our control or the fault of others. Sacrifices come to solve this 
problem. In Hebrew the word for "sacrifice" is "korban" 
from the root "KRB" 
to draw closer. We repent by wanting to make things better, by wanting to draw 
closer to God and in general regretting whatever faults we have and our bad 
deeds. We then offer sacrifice and God forgives us even though we were unable to 
forgive ourselves. We are purified. We are drawn closer. In our time we do not 
have a temple and cannot offer up a physical sacrifice BUT we can offer up time, 
energy, money for good causes. We can always turn things around in a positive 
direction. God wants your good. Charity begins at home. God comes out of good 
people. We can learn to be good people by being better towards those around us. 
A person who tries to be good to his family and to others will feel good and 
will be able to be good towards himself.

says this refers to priests (Cohens) 
who were unworthy. Other commentaries say STRANGERS refers to non-Israelites, 
or  to the descendants of priests (Cohens) 
who had worshipped false gods. The correct meaning is uncertain.             
 
[Ezekiel 44:8] AND YE HAVE NOT KEPT THE CHARGE OF MINE HOLY THINGS: BUT YE HAVE 
SET KEEPERS OF MY CHARGE IN MY SANCTUARY FOR YOURSELVES.                     
 
[Ezekiel 44:9] THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD; NO STRANGER, UNCIRCUMCISED IN HEART, NOR 
UNCIRCUMCISED IN FLESH, SHALL ENTER INTO MY SANCTUARY, OF ANY STRANGER THAT IS 
AMONG THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.    
The Lost Ten Tribes according to a
Midrash 
stopped the practice of circumcision before they were exiled. Nowadays most 
males in the USA are automatically circumcised "or they were until recently. The 
same used to be the case in Australia but now it is not so.                  
 
[Ezekiel 44:10] AND THE LEVITES THAT ARE GONE AWAY FAR FROM ME, WHEN ISRAEL WENT 
ASTRAY,  WHICH WENT ASTRAY AWAY FROM ME AFTER THEIR IDOLS; THEY SHALL EVEN BEAR

[Ezekiel 44:11] YET THEY SHALL BE MINISTERS IN MY SANCTUARY, HAVING CHARGE AT

My own "private" understanding is that 
some of the priests and Levites who had paticipated in idolatry will be partially demoted but still do work 
about the Temple and take part in the Temple service thought at a lesser level. This 
explanation does not appear to be the accepted one however. May we live and see.
 
[Ezekiel 44:15] BUT THE PRIESTS THE LEVITES, THE SONS OF ZADOK, THAT KEPT THE 
CHARGE OF MY  SANCTUARY WHEN THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL WENT ASTRAY FROM ME, THEY

The MIDDLE SECTION will be divided into five parts. A strip along the east and a

the east and west the remainder will be divided (from north to south) into

All these divisions are referring only to a division along the coast from Egypt

FOR THE SUBURBS THEREOF.

Describing the place of the Temple. The 
Temple consisted of two courtyards beside each other. They were surrounded by a 
wall. There was an outer courtyard and an inner courtyard slightly higher than 
the outer one and divided from it by steps and a wall. In the inner courtyard 
there was a two story altar outside in the open. A ramp from the ground reached 
to the top of the altar. After the altar there was a building ("The Sanctuary") 
which was divided inside into two by a curtain.  Behind the curtain was the Holy 
of Holies ("THE MOST HOLY PLACE") which was the most sacred area of the Temple.                    
 
[Ezekiel 45:4] THE HOLY PORTION OF THE LAND SHALL BE FOR THE PRIESTS THE 
MINISTERS OF THE  SANCTUARY, WHICH SHALL COME NEAR TO MINISTER UNTO THE LORD: 
AND IT SHALL BE A PLACE FOR THEIR HOUSES, AND AN HOLY PLACE FOR THE SANCTUARY. 
The priests have to maintain a higher 
level of ritual purity than other Israelites so it is better that they dwell 
together close to the Temple area.                   
 
[Ezekiel 45:5] AND THE FIVE AND TWENTY THOUSAND OF LENGTH, AND THE TEN THOUSAND 
OF BREADTH SHALL ALSO THE LEVITES, THE MINISTERS OF THE HOUSE, HAVE FOR 
THEMSELVES, FOR A POSSESSION FOR TWENTY CHAMBERS.

to divorce, drive away. Unfair government drives a person out of his 
inheritance. This is a principle of Biblical Law that every person should have 
an inherited right to maintain himself and his family. In an agricultural 
society this meant a portion of land that was substantially inalienable. It 
would always by right belong to the person who inherited it and every Israelite 
was born with the right to such an inheritance. Unjust social policies and 
oppressive government were the cause of this right being unfairly taken away 
from a person.                  
 
[Ezekiel 45:10] YE SHALL HAVE JUST BALANCES, AND A JUST EPHAH, AND A JUST 
BATH.                      
 
[Ezekiel 45:11] THE EPHAH AND THE BATH SHALL BE OF ONE MEASURE, THAT THE BATH 
MAY CONTAIN THE TENTH PART OF AN HOMER, AND THE EPHAH THE TENTH PART OF AN 
HOMER: THE MEASURE THEREOF SHALL BE AFTER THE HOMER.

These were measurements. The 
measurements had to be fair. They needed to be checked. Some of the measurements

EPHAH OF AN HOMER OF WHEAT, AND YE SHALL GIVE THE SIXTH PART OF AN EPHAH OF AN

SIN OFFERING, AND THE MEAT OFFERING, AND THE BURNT OFFERING, AND THE PEACE 
OFFERINGS, TO MAKE RECONCILIATION FOR THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL.  
We dedicate ourselves to God and (even 
though we and our families benefit from this, and enjoy it)  it is still 
considered a sacrifice by means of which God brings us back to Himself.                 
 
[Ezekiel 45:18] THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD; IN THE FIRST MONTH, IN THE FIRST DAY OF 
THE MONTH, THOU SHALT TAKE A YOUNG BULLOCK WITHOUT BLEMISH, AND CLEANSE THE 
SANCTUARY:                      
 
[Ezekiel 45:19] AND THE PRIEST SHALL TAKE OF THE BLOOD OF THE SIN OFFERING, AND 
PUT IT UPON THE POSTS OF THE HOUSE, AND UPON THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE SETTLE OF 
THE ALTAR, AND UPON THE POSTS OF THE GATE OF THE INNER 
COURT.                      
 
[Ezekiel 45:20] AND SO THOU SHALT DO THE SEVENTH DAY OF THE MONTH FOR EVERY ONE 
THAT ERRETH, AND FOR HIM THAT IS SIMPLE: SO SHALL YE RECONCILE THE HOUSE.  
<<THAT IS SIMPLE: In Hebrew "Shogeh" 
= in error, mistaken. It is quite likely that with so many people involved 
somebody is liable to make a mistake and accidentally defile areas of the Temple 
so these will be annually purified.                     
 
[Ezekiel 45:21] IN THE FIRST MONTH, IN THE FOURTEENTH DAY OF THE MONTH, YE SHALL 
HAVE THE PASSOVER, A FEAST OF SEVEN DAYS; UNLEAVENED BREAD SHALL BE EATEN.
You shall keep the Passover and eat meat 
and matzot 
("UNLEAVENED BREAD") which can be quite tasty but initially need a certain 
culinary dedication.                     
 
[Ezekiel 45:22] AND UPON THAT DAY SHALL THE PRINCE PREPARE FOR HIMSELF AND FOR 
ALL THE PEOPLE OF THE LAND A BULLOCK FOR A SIN OFFERING.                     
 
[Ezekiel 45:23] AND SEVEN DAYS OF THE FEAST HE SHALL PREPARE A BURNT OFFERING TO 
THE LORD, SEVEN BULLOCKS AND SEVEN RAMS WITHOUT BLEMISH DAILY THE SEVEN DAYS; 
AND A KID OF THE GOATS DAILY FOR A SIN OFFERING.                      
 
[Ezekiel 45:24] AND HE SHALL PREPARE A MEAT OFFERING OF AN EPHAH FOR A BULLOCK, 
AND AN EPHAH FOR A RAM, AND AN HIN OF OIL FOR AN EPHAH.                      
 
[Ezekiel 45:25] IN THE SEVENTH MONTH, IN THE FIFTEENTH DAY OF THE MONTH, SHALL 
HE DO THE LIKE IN THE FEAST OF THE SEVEN DAYS, ACCORDING TO THE SIN OFFERING, 
ACCORDING TO THE BURNT OFFERING, AND ACCORDING TO THE MEAT OFFERING, AND 
ACCORDING TO THE OIL.
