1. Hidden Jews from Italy?
I'm Italian...Could I be Jewish ?
http://www.rabbibarbara.com/italian_jewish_roots_conference_2009.html
Italian Jewish Roots Conference
A Conference sponsored by the IjCCC Italian Jewish Cultural Center of Calabria
Date: Sunday, March 22, 2009
Exciting information about DNA testing and how these results can help you connect with your Italian Jewish ancestry Archaeological documentation of a strong Jewish presence in Calabria and Sicily ? areas that until recently were thought to be devoid of Jewish history Examples of Jewish customs, traditions, beliefs and practices that persecuted Spanish Jews brought to the Italian "boot" traces that indicate old Jewish presence that goes back 500 years.
First person experiences from Italian-Americans  - how they combined genealogical documentation and family anecdotal histories to discover and embrace their Jewish roots.

2. Online Celtic Studies: An Academic Source Page
http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/celtic/ekeltoi/index.html
http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/celtic/ekeltoi/volumes.html
A brief look at this site revealed articles of academic standard that were quite comprehensive.
There seems to be an emphasis on Ireland and the Celts in Spain.
The orientation is to consider the Celts to have been of Indo-European origin and to assume that they developed independently.
There may not be much here from a Brit-Am perspective but one never knows.
I found the maps in one of the articles useful.
Despite its beauty and mystic charm "Celtic"-type culture sometimes displays a self-centered selfish self-pitying kind of orientation that depresses rather than inspires.
Even if some of our ancestors shared the ambience in question they did not necessarily enjoy it.
We do not have to romanticize what was not especially romantic.
These people were pagans. Paganism means tyranny, oppression, suffering.

In the wake of the Golb business, we'll probably see more of this
sort of thing ... the latest claim is the Essenes didn't exist at all:

Golb situation as well:
