2. Early Israeli Stamps: Doar Ivri (The Hebrew Post)
The State of Israel came into existence in 1948.
The first stamps of the new nation bore the insignia "Doar Ivri" i.e. "The Hebrew Post".
Later this was replaced by the designation "Israel".
The illustrations below show those stamps that carried the title "Doar Ivri".
