Letter from Thomas Malloy.

Thomas Malloy wrote:

Dear Yair;

For some time, our teacher has been predicting that
Judaha and Samaria, will declare independence from Israel. OTOH [on the other hand], Yoni Todi, yonitheblogger.com , retired IDF major, whose house is there, compared it to the South's secession from the United States.

In his last 5 Minute update, Ed
Chumney mentioned a Rabbi Shalom Dove Wolfe. He is calling for independence. I'm wondering who this rabbi and his organization are.

I could concoct a scenario in which
Messianics from all over the world would flock to the aid of Tzion. I think that your rose, on a white field with two blue strips would be a fitting flag. IMHO [In my honeset opinion], it would make quite a novel.

The Possibility of Civil War in the State of Israel.

I do not know who your teacher is and on what he bases his prediction upon.
We went to the blog you mentioned:
http://www.yonitheblogger.com/
The concerns discussed on this blog look interesting and informative even though we would not necessarily agree with some of the opinions expressed. The site  however has hundreds of articles and we did not see what you were referring to.
Rabbi Shalom Dove Wolfe is evidently another name for
Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpo
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shalom_Dov_Wolpo

Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpo is a Chabad rabbi who founded the political movement Eretz Yisrael Shelanu ("The Land of Israsel is Ours" ) which is now part of the National Union headed by MK (Member of Knesset) Dr. Michael Ben-Ari.

Rabbi Wolpo has made several inflammatory statements

Anything could happen, anywhere. Things could change overnight and sometimes do so.

Nevertheless at present it does not look like anything of the said nature is liable to take place in the near future.
The settlements and cities in Judah and Samaria are not united and do not want to secede. The majority of the Israeli population does not want them to separate themselves.
There is a geo-political reality concerning strategic depth, proximity of alien hostile Islamic populations, sparse water resources, economic and sustenance needs, natural resources, real estate requirements, etc that I would think obviate the possibility of Israel relinquishing control over the area even if they should want to do so. And they do not.

As for Civil War: Since before the foundation of the State of Israel rival ideologies have been struggling for control. There were times when outbreaks of violence occurred. Civil War was narrowly averted in 1948 due to the intercession of Rabbi Maimon of the National Religious Movement.
Jewish tradition says that in the last days there will be civil war between the True Jews and the Erev Rav (Mixed Multitude) who are usually identified with the secular anti-religious.

The Palestinians also have to be transferred to North Africa and/or Latin America.
Could the Erev Rav include the Palestinians?

Messianics are usually enthusiastic Christians and aggressively assertive about it.
A good portion of the Jews in Samaria and Judah are Orthodox. There are fundamental differences between the two groups. This is not a simple matter.

The idea of Civil war amongst the Jews resulting in messianics being invited to settle in Judah and Samaria sounds like wishful thinking.
This whole trend of thought is troublesome to us.

Ephraimites and Messianics Seek to Abandon their Fellow Israelites!
Are they Really Jews from Judah?

In the End Times Judah and Israel will re-unite into one kingdom (Ezekiel ch.37), everybody will be informed what tribes they belong to
[Malachi 3:3 Maimonides, Mishneh Torah, The Laws of Kings, ch. 12, no.3
http://britam.org/malachi.html ],

and each tribe will dwell in its own tribal area alongside the other tribes (Ezekiel ch.47).

Before then the Tribes of Israel should be informed who they are for their own sakes. They should also be encouraged to return to Biblical Values.
This should be considered the most important thing to be done at present.

The Ephraimites etc however do not seem interested in this.
They prefer to see themselves as separate from the others.
Their attitude is not that of Long Lost Israelites but rather of Long Lost Jews.
They seem to hope mostly that the Religious Jews in the settlements will accept them as equals without expecting them to change their religion.
[Many of them would like to change the religion of the settlers to their own but they are usually (though not always) reticent about openingly declaring it.]

Maybe the Messianics and Ephraimites are largely descended from Judah?
The whole Messianic Movement according to some accounts began from the Messianic Jews.
The Messianic Jews were a collection of Jews or half-Jews and Gentiles who declared themselves to be Jewish. The Baptist Movement gave them money and encouragement to set up their own movement. Gentiles who did not claim to be Jewish began attending their services but were relegated to secondary status. Partly in reaction to this discrimination the Messianic and Ephraimite movements emerged.
In other words they wanted to be regarded as the same as Christian Jews but under another name.
They still want it.
They seem to lack consideration for their fellow Gentiles of Israelite descent.
The dream of many that we meet is to come and live in Israel alongside Jewish and Ephraimite neighbors.
Perhaps this is what their inner souls tell them they should do?
Perhaps they are really descendants of Jews from Judah searching for a way to rejoin Judah without having to change who they have been brought up to be?
Maybe they are Captive Jews as distinct from Northern Israelites?

Mutual Responsibility and a Need to Spread the Brit-Am Message.

Not only do Ephraimites seem to turn their backs on their fellow Gentile Israelites but paradoxically also on the Bible!
Many do not care what the Hebrew Bible says concerning the Lost Ten Tribes nor what history teaches.
For them they consider it enough what they feel in their heart.
For all we know this may be all they need.

Nevertheless there is a Biblical Principle of Collective Responsibility:

We are obliged to identify ourselves with All of Israel and to take responsibility for our fellow Israelites.
This includes helping them know who they are!

Deuteronomy 29:
10 'All of you stand today before the LORD your God: your leaders and your tribes and your elders and your officers, all the men of Israel,
11 your little ones and your
wives, also the stranger who is in your camp, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water;
12 that you may enter into covenant with the LORD your God, and into His oath, which the LORD your God makes with you today,
13 that He may establish you today as a people for Himself, and that He may be God to you, just as He has spoken to you, and just as He has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
14 I make this covenant and this oath, not with you alone,
15 but with him who stands here with us today before the LORD our God, as well as with him who is not here with us today.....

18 so that there may not be among you man or woman or family or tribe, whose heart turns away today from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations, and that there may not be among you a root bearing bitterness or wormwood;
19 and so it may not happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he blesses himself in his heart, saying, 'I shall have peace, even though I follow the
dictates] of my heart' as though the drunkard could be included with the sober?
20 The LORD would not spare him; for then the anger of the LORD and His jealousy would burn against that man, and every curse that is written in this book would settle on him, and the LORD would blot out his name from under heaven.
21 And the LORD would separate him from all the tribes of Israel for adversity, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this Book of the Law....

29 The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law...

The Brit-Am Movement of the Ten Tribes works to spread knowledge as to WHO the Ten Tribes are because we are obliged to do so and ALSO since we are concerned for them. We have an obligation to be concerned for them.
All Israelites who share the realization as to who the Ten Tribes are have some degree of obligation to spread the knowledge or assist those who do.

The Israelites were commanded to become,
A KINGDOM OF PRIESTS, AND AN HOLY NATION [Exodus 19:6].
[The word ("cohanim") translated here as PRIESTS can also mean "officials" or "rulers" but the point is the same].
The emphasis is on the nation as a whole. A Priest or Ruler ministers to others.
The others need to know that they too descend from Israel!

The Mosaic Faith as a Legitimate Alternative!

Pelagius ("Morgan" ca. 360 -420 c.e.) was a Welshman or Scotchman from the British Isles.
Pelagius held that salvation could be obtained either through the (Jewish) Law or through Christianity.
He was considered a heretic then and so he would be today.

Most of us probably disagree with Pelagius.
Nevertheless we have work to do.
Perhaps the Almighty wants us at this time to adopt the attitude of Pelagius for the sake of all the Tribes of Israel?
