2. Minoans in Canaan Galilee
Canaan
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canaan
Extract:
Tel Kabri contains the remains of a Canaanite city from the Middle Bronze Age (2000-1550 B.C.). The city, the most important of the cities in the Western Galilee during that period, had a palace at its center. Tel Kabri is the only Canaanite city that can be excavated in its entirety because after the city was abandoned, no other city was built over its remains. It is notable because the predominant extra-Canaanite cultural influence is Minoan; Minoan-style frescoes decorate the palace.[40]

3. Was Most Ancient Bronze (a copper and tin alloy) actually Brass (copper and zinc)!
Iron Age
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_age
Extract:
It should be noted that the majority of "bronze" of the bronze ages are actually brass from a compositional standpoint, being a mix of copper and zinc (and sometimes other metals derived from sulfides such as arsenic, lead, antimony and other elements that commonly occur with copper), rather than a mix of copper and tin. Brass items are regularly found in archeological digs, but generally mislabled as "bronze". There are three very important reasons for this. First, the common ores of copper that were mined in the ancient world, such as cuprite, normally occur intermixed in the same rocks with the sulfides of zinc such as sphalerite. Two, zinc has a lower melting point than tin, and despite it being thus easier to smelt than tin, it would require a great deal of extra effort with the crude furnaces of the ancient world to separate out the zinc. Three, brass is far stronger than bronze and thus would be more desirable as a metal.
