Title: British Zionist Star (Star of David)
# Description: The Star of David gives an unusual religious dimension to Loyalism. One interpretation is that it is meant to highlight the point of view that the Ulster Protestant people are like the Lost Tribe of Israel who are continuously persecuted. Another theory is that the star was chosen because the six points symbolise the six counties of Northern Ireland. #

2. Additional Rabbinical Sources Concerning the Ten Tribes: Radak (Rabbi David Kimchi, 1160-1235, Narbonne, France):
[1-Kings 11:39] And I will afflict the descendants of David because of this, but not forever.
Radak Commentary:
# It [the United Kingdom of Israel and Judah] is destined to return in the Days of the Messiah, as it says,
"and make them one stick" (Ezekiel 37:19); and it says "and one king shall be king over them all" (Ezekiel 37:22);
and 'David My servant shall be king over them" (Ezekiel 37:24); From here we have an answer to those who say we look forward in vain to the Days of the King Messiah and that it will not be. For behold the Prophet says [here] "but not forever". Ever since the Kingdom of the House of David was divided in the Days of Rehoboam it did not return [to re-unite].
It was always two kingdoms up until the time of Exile. When the Exiles returned from Babylon none of the Tribes came with them apart from those whom the Babylonians had exiled meaning Judah and Benjamin.#
Explanation:
Radak explains that Ahijah the Shilonite prophesied [1-Kings 11] that the Kingdom would be divided into two.
Ahijah also predicted that the Division would not last forever. Ezekiel (ch.37) prophesied that in the time of the Messiah the two halves (Judah and Israel-Joseph) would be re-united and a King from the seed of David rule over them as one Kingdom. These two prophecies are proof that the Time of the Messiah is in the future. There were those who falsely claimed that the prophecies that we interpret as pertaining to the Messianic Era had in fact already been fulfilled in the time of King Hezekiah or otherwise. These prophecies are proof against this deception. It was prophesied that the Ten Tribes and Judah would re-unite and that a ruler of the House of David rule over them. This has not yet happened. It will however take place in the Time of the Messiah.
