1. Some Information About the Ancient Canaanites and Phoenicians
Extracts from:
"The Phoenicians and the West"
by Maria Eugenia Aubet, Mary Turton

2. What is a  "High Place"?
Answer:
"High places" in Hebrew "bamah" in the singular and "bamot" plural I understand to mean elevated platform.
Archaeological evidence shows that it was customary to build a kind of ramp leading up to an elevated platform
on which would be erected an altar etc.
In Modern Hebrew a "bimah" (from the same word-root as "bamah") means "stage" or dais.
Also the elevated podium on which the Torah Scroll is read in the synagogue is called a "Bimah".

3. Who are they that  "pisseth against the wall"?

[1-Samuel 25:22]  SO AND MORE ALSO DO GOD UNTO THE ENEMIES OF DAVID, IF I LEAVE OF ALL THAT PERTAIN TO HIM BY THE MORNING LIGHT ANY THAT PISSETH AGAINST THE WALL.

Answer:
It could merely mean all the males as distinct from the females.
